  1. Think she mentioned bookies somewhere, best of luck with your pregnancy I hope it all goes well with you, even if the relationship doesn't work out theres plenty of single mums that do a great job, but yeh if hes about to be a father he really should catch himself on and get a proper job to support you and the baby.

  2. Just confirm something for me, Dave Finlay is not a third/fourth generation wrestler, right? Someone just said he was and my head has gone into meltdown,. I'm sure they mean Dave Taylor.

I think Dave Taylor is third generation and he has a daughter that wrestles and she is fourth generation.Finlay's father was a wrestler/promoter, don't know if anyone else in his family wrestled though.
  3. It's JCP, the show is Saturday Night from what I can tell, might have been WCW by this stage doubt it though, Flair was feuding with Morton one half of the RN'R express and the angle was basically flair talking about himself as a ladies man etc whereas THE RN'R appealed more to the "Teenie boppers" good angle though that produced some great matches

  4. I thought it meant they should be tested as a normal sport, even though steroids dont help wrestlers improve, as it's not a real sport.

They improve you physique though, and we've seen countless times over the years that Physique>Talent. Having a monstrous physique that can normally only be cause by steroids has gotten many talentless bums to the very top of the mountain, while guys with the 10 times the in-ring talent, but the body of your average guy on the street, have been stuck rotting away in the Indies for their entire careers. You can't say after looking at the amount of green muscleheads pushed to the moon over the past decade that WWE don't pretty much 'encourage' their guys to reach for the juice. I know guys that have been told they'll get a chance with them if they get bigger, when they've pretty much already reach the limit to how big their bodies will get.
That's true but that's not what im saying, the reason they are going after real sports is because the athletes are cheating at a sport and should be clean, the result of a wrestling match does'nt really matter, nobody is betting on it or anything.WWE should be trying to get rid of drugs for the wrestlers safety, not because they are cheats. They should be able to suspend or fire guys, if they fail a drug test, just like I would be sacked if I failed a drug test, at my work. The US government is going to make sure they carry out these drug tests, like they would if there was a problem in any other work place.
And if they do get fired these people should be banned from wrestling for any other promotions (especially TNA) until they have sorted themselves out.
I doubt taking away their living would help them much
  5. Personally I think hes indefensable, clearly his mind was fucked up but he bounded and gagged his wife and killed a 7 year old come on, fucked up or not theres no excuses at all, you could say that about any killer that there mind is fucked up. I never saw this coming and am still shocked but as far as I'm concerned Benoit has ruined his own legacy and WWE should never mention or promote him again. R.I.P Woman and Daniel.

  6. Can I assume that Raw will still be 3 hours tonight, or will the WWE show some sense and knock it off after two to let the staff chill out?

doubt it despite the situation they still have 3 hours to fill
  7. Does anybody know what type of Mania and other PPV event pay off Hogan usually gets?

Like JN Lister said I don't know the exact number, but I remember after he faced HBK at Summerslam a reporter asked him was his pay off good and he said "yeah for my limo driver" gotta love the Hulkster.
  8. I think the first 1 was a 100th show sometime in Summer 97, it featured Luger beating Hogan for the title, and it was the last Nitro before Hog Wild

Think you may be right. I had it in my memory of Spring Break '97 being 3-hours, maybe not. I've got all the '98 Nitro's, I'm sure they officially jumped to 3 hours sometime in January of that year but they had a few other "one-offs" before that.
Pretty sure Spring Break wasn't three hours, watched that Nitro a few months ago the main thing I remember being Piper showing up with his family (Earthquake and two jobbers) and Kevin Sullivan going crazy and dumping some guy (whose name escapes me) in the pool.
