We all know F1 is the King Shit of Motorsport but I've always found the BTCC and Touring Car racing in general to be more close and exciting racing. So here is the thread for the 2012 season. The new season has just started on ITV 4 now at Brands Hatch. Matt Neal the 2011 champ is in the lead as we speak. Anyone else watch the touring cars? I just got back into it after going to Oulton Park last year.

BTCC is always good to have on TV on a Sunday when I get the opportunity. I'll watch the three main races and then dip in and out of the support stuff. The Clio Cup is mental to watch and you're almost guaranteed a spectacular crash, which came today when six cars got wiped out in the first lap in some utter carnage.
What happened in BTCC Race 2 when the BMW rolled? I've had family round and was playing with the kids so don't know if there was a replay of the incident...I just saw the car on its roof and then being turned back over. I keep meaning to try and get to a BTCC Sunday at some point. Hopefully I'll find time, money and transport to get to one before I move abroad in summer. -------------------- A journal and gateway into the life of a student making his way through university life My blog |

Clipped the grass, sent him to the tyre wall and flipped. Nothing too bad. The Clio crash was barmy. Matt Neal took the second race in the BTCC. 3rd race at 5:05pm. Well race 3 has just been stopped. 7 cars just went off at the same corner. Madness!

![]() Cheat Mode Enabled. Magic. TOCA/TOCA 2 are still 2 of the best racing games ever. Much like Rallying, I feel the sport declined when the majority of manufacturers left. I really enjoyed seeing 8 or 9 different car makes battling it out to see who made the best model but now, I couldn't tell you who is in it. That said, it is still one of the better motorsports and I would thoroughly recommend going to a BTCC weekend. I taped the Monday highlights as it was the start of the season. -------------------- |

Used to watch a lot of Collard race 1600 and 2 Litre Hot Rods on the short ovals in the 90's. The same with his father, the legendary Mick "Duffy" Collard in National Hot Rods. Rob has always been a very talented and competitive driver. His fiece battles with the likes of Malcolm Blackman and the Irish drivers including Davy McCall and Keith Martin made the terraces light up at Spedeweekend at Foxhall Stadium. He was even more entertaining around a packed Plough Lane Wimbledon Stadium. However he did come across a bit strange when he appeared on Wife Swap! -------------------- I WENT ON A 2 WEEK DIET AND ALL I LOST WAS 14 DAYS
