The Tattoo Thread

If a recent thread has been started (the less said about old ones the better) by all means merge, but if not its probably a good place to talk about the world of ink.

It's a big year for me, had my first tattoo in 2 years today and pretty much booked in monthly the remainder of the year as I pop some smaller ones into my collection and start my "messed up Kids TV leg sleeve" later in the year.

Today's meant a lot. For the last 4 years I've gone to festivals every summer dressed as Santa and my last names Jolly. So I always wanted a Christmas Tree. It's tied in quite nicely to a band I've come to love this year called unpeople. A song they have called The Garden is very much about feeling down but by being surrounded by amazing people you can grow to be okay and be by yourself. And thats how I've felt this year and really more this last few months having moved away from some really tough relationships and happenings.

There's a line in it "I never thought I’d see the day that I would ever feel like all my stars had aligned, I never thought I’d never wanna die" and more than ever it resonates with me. Because for the first time in a lot of years I truly love being alive and around the people I am. It's a great feeling and a chance to remember it for life.

My garden is filled with Christmas and I bloody love it.
