The results went into the opening post on Sunday night, and the updated to the table that followed was figured out and uploaded today because the next two rounds will contain Friday matches, so it's only fair to get the set of 10 up a day sooner than usual. That said, people are getting into the habit of making their picks ever later, so I don't know why I make the effort to post the cards so early sometimes. Consider this opening fair warning about the coming couple of weeks, anyway.

Two people picked late this time out. Astonishingly, one still managed to be joint top scorer, but less surprisingly, the other was outright worst performer, artificially dragging the average haul down slightly to 7.05 points. Two-Face was a full 3 points behind the equal lowest scorers among people who placed their bets on time, but Zebra Kid Mark was level with Del and SNRN10 on 11 apiece.

The latter therefore extends his lead at the summit to a dozen points, whilst Bradyisgod also made it into double figures. There was little movement elsewhere. The gap at the other end was closed again, this time by only a single point. From here, ZKM can now stop worrying about the duo at the foot of the standings and concentrate on escaping the bottom three, I reckon.

As for the matches - lots of away wins this week. Those at Anfield and St James' Park, despite being a disappointment to some, in the big clashes actually proved easier to guess than similar victories at Villa Park, the Britannia, El Madrigal and Easter Road. The last of those outcomes, combined with a mostly foreseeable and comfortable triumph on the road for Hearts the day before, mean that automatic promotion is already decided in that division.

A late winner for the home side at Upton Park was fruitful despite the visitors' recent change in the dugout, as was the narrow reverse for Real in the Nou Camp. Finally, although Seph had misgivings, the vast majority of participants plumped for the inevitable success at Wembley, with a fair few three-pointers being yielded from the JPT showpiece too. Onwards and upwards to promotion now...
