Fog Dude
The results went into the opening post on Sunday night (just about!), then the table was updated yesterday and uploaded here earlier tonight. Having lost the lead on a technicality last time out, SNRN10 regains it in this round thanks to a 10-point haul. That's also enough to make him joint second best performer and one of only a trio of players into double figures this week. Outright top scorer snowman dave moves up into fourth place after bagging a dozen points. Del was at the other end of the scale, although TUFCfan's lateness in making his picks meant he got an even lower total, allowing Seph to close the gap by 2 points to 14. Even he technically moves up a place since we've had another participants drop out due to non-activity. So long, Glenryck! We hardly knew ye. I'll miss seeing his sig pop up in these threads anyway. As for the matches, the outcome of the rather boring League Cup final proved somewhat fruitful, but the continental results caught many people out. AC Milan failed to win at Chievo, whilst Inter were beaten at home by Fiorentina, both of which turned out to be quite tough to foresee. Over in France, a stalemate at the Stade Louis II and a home victory by the odd goal in three at Lyon were also scorelines hard to guess in advance. Back closer to home, narrow triumphs for Stoke and Newcastle, plus a slightly more comfortable one for the Gunners, yielded a fair few points, but similar setbacks for Burnley and Southampton were not so widely anticipated beforehand. All right, a new set of 10 coming up in a few minutes. I have to warn you all it's a messy one, however, thanks to the cups and poor scheduling...
