Paid Members Quentin Posted August 5, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted August 5, 2012 Oh if it was Christ the King I have no idea. I'd say it was an off night though. Edgar's had some crackers, usually in the name of hardcore wrestling.

Paid Members Quentin Posted August 5, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted August 5, 2012 Shoes still makes very occasional appearances for us here in AMP  Fanboy is still active around Hereford  Stiro is currently at uni in Florida  Chris Charisma seemed to fall off the face of the earth a few years ago. Paid Members Surf Digby Posted August 5, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted August 5, 2012 Ah, MPW. Not the first BritWrest show I went to, but definately where it all started for me. Â Firstly, Absolutely gutted to hear about Danny Oxman. I still have some PMs from him in my inbox from when he was looking to get back into wrestling after he'd taken time off for injuries. With his judo influenced, semi-legit, throw-heavy style, he was my kind of wrestler. I was shit scared of taking something like the Oxorcism as a trainee though, as it looked brutal. Â MPW was - especially in it's early incarnation - pretty exciting. It was definately British, but tweaked so that it suited a young audience so used to the American product. For a promotion that had no TV coverage and was before all this "internet channel" stuff, they did well with the slow-burning angles spread over several shows. Something that has carried across into Triple X Wrestling. Â I like that I can look back and think of some of the firsts and lasts I saw within the lifespan of the promotion. Lightning Kid's last match, the first E-Train, the unmasking of Rhyme, the Scottish becoming involved, and so on. On top of that, I saw young wrestlers like Stiro and Nero debut and develop. Â Chris Charisma was - as mentioned - one of their top guys, and should really have been working other promotions too. Had a cracking match with Edgar Stryfe at Christ The King, where Stryfe used the Burnley Wallet for the first time (I think). Â White Tiger was another guy that should have worked more places than he did. Consistanly good matches with just about anyone, and his gimmick meant he was massively over with the kids. Â Here's some random pics. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â For anyone on Facebook, the whole album is here. https://www.facebook.com/howard.mansfield#&...8259&type=
Chris_Stone
That was it 'The Oxorcism', I couldn't remember the name of that move. Loved it, always looked brutal but yeah, the kind of move you always feel a bit 'oh fuck' about, even though it was safe ^^  To whoever it was asking, this is Psycho Steve   Notice the awesomesauce pyro's too!  Edit: The AT7 Centre was a great venue, minus the 'beer in the bar' rule of course (or at least bar being in the other room), I remember the night where there weren't enough chairs, so gymnastic benches were pulled out, people were standing etc, that was a great atmosphere.
