... and following DJ Pep's appearance on ITV1's 'May The Best House Win' yesterday... HE'S ON 'COME DINE WITH ME' ON CH4 RIGHT NOW AS WELL   DJ Pep is taking over TV....I do have a question about the show, however. Last time, the tickets had all 3 price brackets printed on them, but ours then had 'Front Row' highlighted to show what seats we'd bought. This time, they again have all 3 price brackets printed, but nothing is highlighted or marked in any way to make them obvious as front row. Should I bring PayPal receipt to show price paid?

Hi BenSorry for the oversight, but there won't be any problems as we have a list of people who have purchased front row and we know who you are!As for Pep, you had to see him on The Weakest Link with Anne Robinson a few years ago. Now THAT was TV gold.

With 48 hours to before XWA War on the Shore VIII the news from the Johnny Phere camp is that despite a torn muscle underneath his rib cage, he is patched up and raring to defend his title against Stixx!

The British Heavyweight Champ also had some interesting comments in this week's Visitor newspaper regarding fellow Morecambe resident, the undefeated boxer Tyson Fury!

Meanwhile former FWA and XWA referee, a man who has officiated at the very highest level, Mike Bishop has been assigned to referee the main event this Saturday night. Only a match of this magnitude could coax The Bish out of retirement and only a referee of Mike's experience and standing in the game could reasonably officiate a match of this magnitude!

Tickets still available although front row selling out rapidly....

The show is tonight! And there has been a real last-minute demand for tickets. It seems people want to see this show, and I for one, don't blame them! They are still available though, on the door tonight or from the Morecambe Visitor Information Centre, the Platform, today. And don't forget JOHNNY PHERE and STIXX are in Morecambe's Arndale Centre from 2pm-2.30pm for a special pre-show face off!BIGGEST MATCH IN BRITISH WRESTLING THIS YEAR! Do not miss it!

In the end it wasn't Mike Bishop who screwed XWA...it was ring announcer Richard Parker. There is so much to report from last night. It was a complete sell out, we could not fit any more people in and we had to put extra seats out. As for the show, completely insane. Insane, I tell you.Action will be taken against Nathan Cruz and referee Mike Lovejoy over the El Ligero illegal piledriver incident. Having said that, Declan O'Connor did do a rather good job of serving Lovejoy with some punishment last night...Expect more coming soon to www.xwawrestling.com and @XWAWrestling on Twitter and our Facebook group but I'm really rather sore right now.Tickets will be on sale for XWA vs GPW - Best in the North West on Saturday July 28 at the Hexagon, Lancaster and Morecambe College, later this week.Revenge will be sweet.

XWA WAR ON THE SHORE VIII: Brief results

Sunday, 13 May 2012 09:08

XWA War on the Shore VIII will go down as the most tumultuous night in XWA history. In front of a sell out crowd at The Hexagon, Lancaster and Morecambe College, here is what happened in brief...

Joey Hayes won a six-way Hexagon match against RockStar Spud, Showstealer Nathan Cruz, El Ligero, Jynkz and Dave Rayne, lastly eliminating Spud. Joey is now the number one contender to the XWA British Heavyweight Title. There was controversy in this match when referee Mike Lovejoy counted an illegal pinfall after Cruz delivered a piledriver to Ligero. The piledriver is a banned move in XWA. It has already been confirmed there will be disciplinary action taken against Cruz and Lovejoy.

Sam Slam won a wild tables match against Colossus after power bombing the over 350lb entity through a table. A furious Sam then exacted the ultimate revenge for what happened to him at Goldrush as he continued the onslaught after the match, wreaking havoc on Colossus by driving him through two more tables!

Craig Kollins pinned The Grappler Jack Gallagher following an Execution Kick in an excellent match.

XWA promoter Greg Lambert then invited GPW promoter Johnnie Brannigan out to the ring. It appeared the two rivals had buried the hatchet when they both reluctantly apologised to each other and then shook hands. But then the swaggering Brannigan began to taunt Lambert, which led to a furious exchange of words and insults as both promoters claimed their wrestlers were better than the other's. In the end, Lambert challenged Brannigan to an XWA versus GPW inter-federation series of matches at XWA Vendetta on Saturday, July 28. Instead of accepting the challenge, Brannigan booted Lambert in the balls, crumpling the 40-year-old XWA owner to the floor. To add insult to injury, the GPW head then poured Morecambe Bay Shrimps all over Mr Lambert's prone body, then left, cackling in triumph, by the front door!

The Blackpool Blonds defeated 2Dimension. Afterwards, The Creeper and Martin Shenton came out and laid out The Blonds.

Declan O'Connor pinned Dave Breaks.

The XWA British Heavyweight Title match between Johnny Phere and Stixx was an absolute war of attrition. After both men had kicked out of each other's finishers, Phere delivered an astonishing Ram Slam off the top rope at the 24 minute mark. As both men collapsed in the ring, ring announcer Richard Parker suddenly called for the bell. Referee Mike Bishop confronted Parker, who explained his unauthorised actions by saying he felt both men were clearly unable to continue. Bishop said he was the only person who could make that decision and angrily called for the match to restart. When he turned his back on Parker, the diminutive ring announcer picked up the XWA Title belt and smashed the veteran official in the head with it! With the fans in uproar, Parker - who had clearly been working for GPW all along - beckoned for a posse of GPW wrestlers led by Johnnie Brannigan to storm through the back door of the Hexagon, rushed to the ring and began annihilating the fallen Stixx and Phere. This led to a charge of wrestlers from the XWA dressing room and an insanely vicious arena-wide brawl of astonishing ferocity between XWA and GPW wrestlers! With the Hexagon in bedlam, Brannigan and his thugs RJM, Bin Mann, Jason Logan, Dylan Roberts and Parker were forced back out of the building, but not before Johnnie accepted the challenge for XWA versus GPW on Saturday, July 28 when we will find out once and for all just who really is the Best in the North West!

The title match was officially declared a no contest.
