fye Posted August 20, 2011 Author Posted August 20, 2011 We have held off on announcing the NEWS Tag Team Championship match due to ongoing concerns with Max Heat's injury. It has now been confirmed that Max Heat will not be able to compete for the second consecutive show and AJ Anderson has confirmed he will once again defend the titles on his own. The challengers for the titles will be The Dead Reckoning (Jack Norton & John Britain). Max Heat is expected to be fit enough to compete in our October shows. Â We are expecting our 4th sell out from 4 shows this year at Peterlee Leisure Centre. There are no posters up yet and the only place tickets have been mentioned are on here and facebook but we have sold nearly 50 tickets so far and almost 2/3 of our front row. Once the main PR starts we are expecting to double that figure and break 100 pre sale for the 4th show in a row at the venue. If anyone is looking to attend please get in touch to ensure your seats are available.

The Tag Team Champions are Max Heat & AJ Anderson, only they can defend them, either as a duo or separately. The alternative that was offered in July was to vacate them and those are still the only options.

But I think there will be a title change at the September show and a face off between Max and AJ over the loss at the October show.

Really enjoyed the Travis/Ligero match and the gauntlet tag match with Order of Chaos and Fast and the Furious. Â Max Heat's 20 foot dive was immense! Â Look forward to the dvd releases for these shows.

fye Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Front row tickets are now sold out. Standard seating remains although this show is likely to sell out, following 3 sell outs on our last 3 visits this year, so get in touch if you want to purchase any tickets
fye Posted August 31, 2011 Author Posted August 31, 2011 Unfortunately Carbon has been sidelined indefinitely with injury and will be unavailable to wrestle for NEWS from this point forward. It took us a year to be able to work together for various reasons and after one outing Carbon will no longer be part of NEWS. We hope to see Carbon wrestling again in the future but it appears unlikely at this point. Carbon is aware that the door is permanently wide open for a return if his health allows it. Â On a related note, we have replaced Carbon with Chris Whitton and pulled his debut forward from October 22nd to this show. Whitton was scheduled to wrestle on our debut show before a serious knee injury cost him a year of his career. He will now be making his postponded debut, 19 months after it was originally scheduled.
