Kinect - Xbox 360

I'm now in a position where I can purchase one, but before I spend my pocket money I want some thoughts and opinions now it's been out for a while.

 

It will essentially be used by me & my family (wife & teenage son), and occasionally I have a couple of friends come round.

 

So is it good? Is it worth it? What are the games to get?

The best games i have are Kinect Sports and Dance Central

 

If you want something with motion controls then it is the best option at the moment in my opinion yet like most motion control periphirals it really lacks that staying power unless you find a reason you want to use it. If you know your going to use it regularly then by go ahead but otherwise wait until its cheaper or there are more games avaliable

My housemate has Kinect and aside from a few novelty games it's pretty crap, sometimes his young stepbrother comes around to play it but other than that it barely gets used.

Awful. I had a go of Kinect Adventure in GAME and I had to hold both my arms in two different positions just to pause the game.

I spoke to the lassie in gamestation after noticing the 10+ Kinects lying in the back. She said that they had been traded in pretty fast as Gamestation was offering a good price. She said the general comments were it was pretty awful, nothing but a novelty and the fact you have to stand at least 6 foot away meant that most living space didnt work well with it.

 

Glad I stuck to the Wii. Best party game ever.

Hmmm, OK. I think I've heard enough. I asked the same question to the staff at CEX, they said it was good fun. I figured this was there way of trying to get rid of them. Thanks for the honest answers.
