  1. Just watched Red Eye starring Cillian Murphy and the lovely Rachel McAdams, also starred the original Hannibal Lecter, Brian Cox (still haven't seen Manhunter) as Rachel's dad. I wasn't expecting much from the film, thought Cillian would be good because he's been awesome in everything i've seen and this was no different. All-in-all I was pleasantly surprised, Cillian stole the film and his two different characters (one the charming bugger and the other a psychopathic killer) were both used in an effectively quick matter. Rachel was also good and the film had a few unexpected funny parts and also was quite suspenseful at times. Good Sunday afternoon viewing, nothing ground-breaking, but an enjoyable, fun, thriller.

  2. Semi_pro_post.jpg

Will Ferrell wears a silly wig and possibly also a silly mustache and plays an eccentric nutter with a quirky chosen career that noone else would think to make a film about. He will be hilariously out of touch with all the regular people in the film without realising it. He will spout many kooky one-liners that people will repeat for ages and have as their msn display name. The film will fade into the 3 for

  3. I watched then Matrix and in the cinema expecting this life-altering film and it bored the shit out of me. Plus, Keanu Reeves is so fucking crap at acting I was praying to be stuck blind. ONE film he's been in that I can watch and that's 'The Devil's Advocate' with Al Pacino. No surprises for guessing which actor makes that film enjoyable.

  4. I watched Deep Impact, literally minutes ago. As you may know, I have a hard-on for end-of-the-world movies and always enjoy a viewing of this, I've watched it at least once a year snce it was released. It's really well done and makes me wish the Earth was getting hit by a comet, things would be so much more interesting. So much better than the awful Armageddon as well. Plus, Morgan Freeman is the President. Who wouldn't vote for him?

  5. I was reading Batista's book (I know...) and he talks about a cock-up during one of his flights (this is how little of a career he has, when a tale about a flight getting his seats wrong is a chapter in his autobiography) anyway, he says regularly himself and Booby Lashley (who he was travelling with) order two seats to make it easier for themselves and whoever they'be sat buy.I've a question, did Kevin Von Erich really request a payday for working an event in '93, that (everyone else worked for free) was in benefit of his brothers (Kerry) children? Or is that some form of Urban Legend?

  6. Probably because if you're a novice, you won't have a clue what he's going on about as he loads his posts with jargon. For example:

There will be no picture difference between 1080i and 1080p unless your panel is native 1920 x 1080 line. For alot of older set they are 1024x768 default resolution, and with the lower resolution you cant tell the difference, in newer sets their native resolution is 1920 x 1080 so the image will have to de interlace any interlaced material before viewing resulting in poorer picture imo.Interlacing is a standard only used in broadcasting for a PS3 / XBOX360 everything will be progressively scanned (each frame is scanned from top to bottom each time)Toshiba 42X3030 which Lawz posted, we have had one for a few weeks and had a bit of test compared to a 1024x768 back projection set, and have had it running component and then a HDMI into the back projection set on SKY HD, honestly it took a lot of fine adjusting picture wise and it not good unless your willing to adjust for your viewing specifications.

To me, that's a bunch of numbers and means nothing.
It reads like something from Jericho's return. Just replace some of the numbers with "SAVE_US" and viola! ;)
  7. Finally got around to seeing Terminator 3. Which was actually not that bad, I really expected it to be utter pants, but ended up quite enjoying it, even if Nick Stahl does look like a mongoloid. If you were a fan of the first two (and who isn't?) I think you'll enjoy this, because for what it was, a mindless, violent romp it was good. Plus, the ending was awesome and Claire Danes is great in this, as is Stahl and even Arnie, given such a wooden character can't balls it up, anyway, I don't mind him, he amuses me. I never thought i'd say this, but roll on number 4! Which apparently will star Christian Bale as John Connor.

  8. Watched I am Legend today. It was alright, Will Smith is really good in this, sadly his slow mental demise (talking and arguing with mannequins) was met with regular rounds of the guffaw from my fellow cinema-goers.

New York in disarray, was done awesomely in The Stand (I adore both the book and the made-for-TV film) and I assumed this would top that. However, in my humble opinion it didn't. It's strange theres not a lot I really didn't like, but it just didn't grab me. Which is strange as I do like the end of the World films. I suppose I felt there could've been a hell of a lot more put in (the amount of things that happened could easily have made this film a 3hr movie and it wouldn't have dragged, rather than just overlooking a load of stuff) and I guess, they must've blown the majority of the budget on special effects which didn't even add up to a minute.

It was alright, it's a spectacle to see and there are a few genuinely "jumpy" moments, but I can't say this was great, it was just average and is solely saved by the believability of Will Smiths performance.

  9. Kane v. Mark Henry (I think it was One Night Stand), the lumberjack match (which also was Benoit's final PPV appearance) This matched lasted 4 hours. 3 hours and 58 consisted solely of Henry's bear hug.Great Khali v. Kane (WrestleMania)Great Khali v. Hornswoggle (Survivors)Hornswoggle v. Coach (RAW, Mick Foley was the ref)
