Sure, everyone DM their email addresses then, I'll send out some invites!
-
Surprised you don't use it in work, Chest. Seems pretty industry standard.
Â
https://theukff.slack.com/now exists but there is one drawback - as far as I can tell, you can only add people by inviting them via their email address.
-
There's other people living and working in that area of London affected by what happened yesterday other than those in Parliament.
-
I mean, it's not as if there's been another tragedy within the last 24 hours where people have been determined to get on with their day like normal as a coping mechanism.
Â
-
So, any reason why we're not using Slack for this? Seems perfect. And completely safe for work, too.

There was a WWF comic book that I always found unrealistic because it ended with the Bushwhackers becoming someone's favourite tag team.
Â
I met the Bushwhackers when I was a kid and got them to sign this issue of Battlemania. Later on I'm in uni and sharing a house with a bunch of guys who all like wrestling. My mum decides to reclaim my old room and drives up with a load of my stuff in boxes, including my entire WWF magazine collection. I thought I was doing a nice thing by giving them to one of my housemates and a month or so later he asks if I want them back and I'm like "no dude, you can have them" so he bins the lot, that comic included. Wish he'd told me he was going to bin them, I was pretty gutted a few months later when I asked if I could dig through them looking for something. We're talking almost every issue of WWF (and later Raw) magazine between 1991-98, with a few random WCW and PWI's thrown in for good measure and all the fore-mentioned Battlemania's.
Â
This is about as random a thought as it gets but this post just reminded me about it.
-
Didn't they effectively do that with Joe vs Sami? I know that was 2 out of 3 falls but it was a match that took up the entire show, similar to Mundo vs Puma in LU.
-
When I was a kid, I always used to imagine that there was someone behind the curtain (in Gorilla position) and interfering wrestlers would just tell them to hit their music when they went down to the ring. I had no concept of production trucks or sound techs or anything like that so it made perfect sense to me. If they had Goldberg interfering and did his entrance from the dressing room as per usual though, I'd certainly start questioning logistics.
-
The thought occurred to me that if they were going to keep the Hardy's and carry on with all the Broken Matt stuff, a partnership with DDT would have been far better. That could have lead to some brilliance.
-
Reigns beating Undertaker and Lesnar on back-to-back nights will definitely garner him some heat. So, I'm assuming he's staying face and they'll do neither.
-
Do WWE realise how small time they look when they thank proper websites for "breaking" their news stories?
Â
If they were thanking PWInsider you might have a point but as long as they're leaking stories to sites like ESPN, Fox Sports, TMZ, etc it definitely doesn't make them look small time. It's absolutely designed to make them appear to be getting mainstream coverage by legit news outlets.
-
The rumour was that Hunter wanted the Broken Matt gimmick but who knows how that'll translate.
Â
I've got to assume that if they bring them back, they'll initially jump on the nostalgia trip but then split them up and if they're going to do the Broken gimmick, make some attempt at doing it with Matt whilst they use Jeff as the standard upper mid-card babyface he's designed to be.

I do watch UFC occasionally but I haven't made a point of watching it since about 2010 though I'm pretty sure that I'm still into MMA even now by osmosis from listening to WOR for years.
Â
I actually surprise myself when I'm able to join in MMA chats in the pub about guys I wouldn't be able to pick out from a line-up just because I absorb what they talk about on the shows.Â

I've just checked his feed and I can only assume you're referring to his reply to @WWEBTG who said that he usually disagreed with Dave, particularly on New Japan being better than WWE. Dave's reply read more like him saying "you can't simplify it to x is better than y, go read a full article".
Â
Dave can be absolutely gold on Twitter though. Sometimes he'll go on a Q&A spree and be absolutely hilarious.Â
-
I imagine there's only so much he can give away without losing his sources. I generally find Dave pretty entertaining on Twitter, he's a lot more self-aware than he used to be.
Â
And trying to get people to pay for something instead of giving it to them for free is just smart business, really. He writes about 20,000 words a week for the Observer, it's not like he's telling them to go and read something he could have just written in a tweet.
-
Yeah, he's got an awful voice for doing a podcast. Luckily, once you get past the first couple of minutes, the other two speak more than him. I've only got it on in the background in work but fuck trying to listen to his voice intently for any length of time.
-
In fairness, he was asking what the creative process was like back then as opposed to today but he framed it awfully. I thought Triple H humoured him fairly well but it was clear he was there to plug the movie which is fair enough.
Â
Listening to the new British Audio Wrestling show on the LAW and I'm not sure I'm going to get used to Martin Bushby's voice. The other host, Oli, and Benno from on here are both coming across well though.
-
Perhaps, but he's not Daniel Bryan. If they're not interested in him doing anything else other than HOF, I can't imagine whatever money they're paying him for that and/or a Legends deal is going to be enough to stop him taking bookings from money marks like What Culture.

Balor just showed up at the Progress show in brum to play musical chairs, however he was then shown up by the surprise appearance of a true star: Tommy End
Â
And they were both shown up by Matt Riddle in the main event. Thought I saw you there, Maxwell.

I thought the TMNT stuff that Lego did was pretty sweet too. Didn't realise they'd lost the licence to MegaBloks although their sets look alright too.
Â
To keep this on-topic, I found someone on Instagram the other day who does custom Lego minifig wrestlers:Â https://www.instagram.com/assui88/
Â
They're pretty rough around the edges if you look at them closely but in thumbnails, they look great. They've clearly got a great eye for Lego-ising the designs but needs to print them instead of trying to paint them.

The WWE article mentioned there were more than 30 people getting a tryout, anyone know who the others were?
Â
The only one I know of not mentioned here or in the article is a Polish fitness instructor who is apparently the first Polish athlete to receive a tryout.

"You're not who's next, you're who's last" is definitely a catchphrase.

Benny retired from running it after the 2014 list and cobystag took it over last year. He posted the first 9 but it didn't seem to get any further so I assume there hasn't even been a voting for this year.
Â
I don't think I was around much in 2014 (or really much at all since 2009) but I guess I didn't realise that Benny had stopped doing them. Shame, even before I got into going to BritWres shows, I enjoyed reading through those threads.

I was listening to a podcast earlier and Damian Dunne mentioned the UKFF Top 50... Whatever happened to that? It seemed to just die in the middle of the 2015 list.

Given the Hardy's are doing a TLC match for ROH the night before Mania, I can't imagine they'd be up for doing much in a ladder match the next day. Or that Young Bucks match is going to be hella disappointing to compensate.
