  1. I was indifferent to Tommy420 or whatever until I got these two messages shortly before a show I ran last year...

Hello to TXW and its management. Just to let you know ill be in the area the day before i start my job in Macclesfield so if you think you could use me for the show to draw any extra marks let me know. My work pays the travel expenses so no need to worry about that just need to pay my wage that night. If interested get back to me.

I don't have my reply any more but I was confused as to how this guy was going to draw extra "marks" and who the hell he was so I gratefully declined the offer. I got this back...

In response to your reply here it goes.In the wrestling scene you may or may not have heard of announcer MC Tommy up in Scotland who is the mainstay announcer of BCW, PBW, W3L and ICW. People also know me as Dangerously420 on the ukff. Now you have a unique opportunity that wont cost you greatley. I am in a position due to work commitments that ill be in the area the day of the show and would be free to come along to it and possibly partake in an angle? If you are familiar with the history ive had on the UKFF and the notoriety i have up here with folk it could pose to be quite an interesting prospect if you added me to the show. You WOULD NOT NEED TO PAY EXPENSES. My work is allready paying. If you want to use me it be a good opportunity but i respect your wishes if you do not want to use me.Thank you for your time hope to hear from you soon.

Unique opportunity? Interesting prospect? If only I hadn't passed, I might still be in business.
  2. Put "globsters" into Google Image Search and you'll see some of the weird unidentified stuff that washes up from the ocean.

And search a little more and you will find that these are decomposed whale carcasses.Anybody watch that show The Monster Hunter? That guy is hilarious. I hope he finds something.
  3. Listened to Dyllan's heart

Please let that be a typo. Whats the point of throwing in the extra L?

Even if you think it'll make him unique, the poor fucker's going to be spending the rest of his life going "no, two Ls..." and always having his name spelled incorrectly on forms. Seriously, it's like calling a kid Indiana Jones and sentencing him to a life of people singing the theme tune or making a whip-crack noise, especially when he meets someone new for the first time. Why create all that bellyache, he won't thank you for it.

Couldnt give a crap whether he likes his name or not, he can change it when hes old enough, i've lived my life with a funny spelt first name, middle name and surname and guess what? i just got on with it.
Didn't you say earlier in this very thread that you didn't want to give the baby an ambiguous name because you grew up with one? That's kind of the complete opposite, no?But anyway, I see no problem with the extra 'l'. It's a name that can be spelled a couple different ways anyway... Also, if kids want to make fun of another kid they'll find something to do it about. Giving the child as boring a name as possible is not going to make a difference one way or another.e.g if I had known a kid called Dylan regardless of how it was spelt I would have probably just made crappy jokes about how he had been 'pushing too many pencils' and that he needed to 'get to the chopper'...
    You son of a bitch!
  4. I'd have had a lot more interest and care of what was said on here, if it was said with the right reasoning behind it. So much of what is in this thread has not been said like that. But it reminds me of a ghost from my past, one Steven Gauntley. Steven's always been criticised on a way too personal level, more than he has business too; in my view, with things brought up that are beyond poor taste and blatantly unnecessary. And this is why, whilst I'm surprisingly willing to accept there ARE good people and decent people who post on here; I'll just generalise and tar with the same brush, purely because it's quicker to do so. And this is why I've made the comments I've made that could be classed as not entirely suitable.

As I've pointed out before, if you run a wrestling show, that show is fair game for critism by anyone that witnesses it - it is not your duty to come here and shoot down anyone who doesn't think you are doing something amazing. It is their right to think you are crap the same as it was HatGuy's right to think my shows and anyone else's shows are crap. You can't crucicify the fans for having their say no matter what it is. Your shows are presented to the public fair game for attacks by anyone for any reason. Coming on here and throwing your toys out of the pram over a bad review makes you look worse than any bad review.Once you put yourself on your shows (and quite a bit from what I hear), you as a character, performer and person are open game for reviewing, criticising and damning abuse. That is the life of someone who puts themself in the public eye no matter what scale it is on. Once again, rising to it and striking back only hurts you.HatGuy, as said, is one of a very select few that will give any show a try with an open mind and feedback his well-written, honest feeling as a consumer. He is absolutely entitled to do this. If it stops a couple of people from going to your shows then so be it. What will stop more people is coming on here and having a moan about being victimised or making excuses. The best you could do here (which you seem to have tried, albeit badly) is thank him for the review, take on board his thoughts, ignore the flamers and go back to the drawing board and do the thing that you are so passionate about to the best of your ability in hope on constantly improving your product making it appealing to more and more people.
  5. "A lot of people will tell you we're better now"The people you put on your shows that can't get work elsewhere because they are untrained do not count. Before Aphrodite or Hailz jumps in on that to defend their beloved ptw, that means you too.

Firstly, I am not untrained, I was trained by Jake Roberts and Phil Powers, and still train with Jem Brown, and secondly, I work for several other promotions.

Will Ferrell wears a silly wig and possibly also a silly mustache and plays an eccentric nutter with a quirky chosen career that noone else would think to make a film about. He will be hilariously out of touch with all the regular people in the film without realising it. He will spout many kooky one-liners that people will repeat for ages and have as their msn display name. The film will fade into the 3 for

  8. Mr 420. He is amusing. Here's a message he sent me after I announced my last show.

I replied politely asking what the hell he was talking about and why I should care in the slightest. He replied with

Words fail me... And STILL this was not enough to steal my vote from Mab.
  9. If it was Zapp Branagan then I'm disapointed that I never got mentioned. I think me calling him a cunt sent him off the deep end.and also

It works out at 2 a day for years NOT days or months. Years man. Take into account days lost for holidays, sickness, cruising or visiting shitty promotions in The Midlands [where you sit on your hands and look bored] I think you'll find it does take your posts per day up. If you post and contribute nothing THEN use the old 'newbies' argument it does make you a whore.

    I resent that!
  10. Because he's gonna do a legit~ shoot run in for the number one spot anyway.

It's funny because I was there. It's was also funny watching him cry afterwards. That must have been the worst birthday ever.
  11. Just an interesting piece I found on Wikipedia...

Another condition that is frequently discussed as a possible side effect of anabolic steroids is known as "roid rage"; however there is no consensus in the medical literature as to whether such a condition actually exists. Testosterone levels are indeed associated with aggression and hypomania, but the link between other anabolic steroids and aggression remains unclear.[77] While some studies have shown a correlation between manic symptoms and anabolic steroid use,[78] later studies have questioned these conclusions.[69] Currently, three blind studies have demonstrated a link between aggression and steroid use, but with estimates of over 1 million past or current steroid users in the United states, an extremely small percentage of those using steroids appear to have experienced mental disturbance severe enough to result in clinical treatments or medical case reports.[79] In contrast, the majority of recent studies done on angry behavior and anabolic steroid use show little or no psychological effect, implying that either "roid rage" does not exist or that anabolic steroids' effects on aggression are often too small to be measured. Some studies however have shown a small correlation between marked hypomania and anabolic steroid use.[80] Here, only 50 individuals were studied, with two showing signs of marked hypomania. It has previously been theorized that some studies showing a correlation between angry behavior and steroid use are confounded by the fact that steroid users are likely to demonstrate cluster B personality disorders prior to administering steroids.[81] In addition, many case studies have concluded anabolic steroids have little or no real effect on increased aggressive behavior.[

  12. Typical of Lance Storm to only get 6 minutes TV time.

That's hilarious. Well done!On the issue, in no expert in the subject but would Benoit taking steroids be anything to do with the major neck surgery he had a couple of years back?
  13. Kayfabe or not and regardless of what people knew about their personal lives, Eddie died suddenly. Benoit murdered his wife and son and then killed himself... Big difference there.

  14. The thing with the steroids is that they say they were prescribed drugs... Perhaps something to do with the serious neck surgery this man had? If a doctor was worried about his mindstate he wouldn't prescribe these drugs that Fox painted to be nothing more than a recreational hallousogen... The way that "expert" talked about "eye popping" and "throwing bibles all over the place" the like was pretty ridiculous...Something sent this man over the edge... I can only speculate as much as the next man what it was... The way Chavo described staying at his house last week in his tribute it doesn't seem like a man close to the edge... Maybe we will never find out the true circumstances that made him do this but it seems like things went far, far further than he wanted and he didn't know what to do... He couldn't cope with his actions... Didn't want his son to grow up without his parents... So he took his own life... I won't defend a murderer for one single moment but this was not a man who had a history of violence and did not seem to be pre-meditating killing his family. This is one of the saddest stories I have ever heard and not because a great wrestler has died but because an a man greatly respected and loved by his peers, his wife and a young boy have lost their lives and noone seems to know why it happened.
