  1. Thanks to the amazing Sky Atlantic, I've started watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Sopranos. Both are just brilliant, especially Curb. Some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a long time!

I've done exactly the same. Can't believe it took me so long to get on board with either of them. Larry David is like the American Alan Partridge.

Anyone else watching Police Academy UK on BBC3? It's not half bad! They've taken a police officer from Colombia, Australia, Zambia and Samoa and sent them out on the streets with British police. Interesting stuff. Amazing to see how a fairly senior officer from Zambia look totally incompetent and the girl from Samoa (usually told to stay in the car at the sight of danger back home) looking scared half to death at Birmingham city centre on a typical Saturday night.

  2. For every day use I have this in blue.

And picked this up just after Christmas for more formal occasions.

And got this as a joke gift from the missus. But it's awesome.

Tried on this at the Affliction shop in Miami in November and for some reason didn't buy one :(

  3. Everything John Cena has done in the last six months basically.

The Nexus! Wow! They showed up on Raw during a main event, beat down the company's biggest star and destroyed the set. Nexus then became a minor irritation for Cena for a couple of weeks. Clearly, noone was going to watch Cena's movies if he was doing all this selling and getting beat down by only 6 guys so this had to be stopped.

I can't put into words how gutless it was of WWE to build that stipulation with no intention of honouring it even a little bit. All the hype videos about him making the choice and how life-changing it was for him... and then he blandly does the right thing (safe bet). He then delivers a miraculously good promo about going home and getting choked up and even getting his haters to banter with him on his 'final' night.

Noone expected it to be anything more than temporary. I even sat there and thought about how exciting it would be when he did return... and then before the end of the same fucking show he returned... and continued to return, infuriatingly wearing the same clothes every week - his wrestling attire (complete with kneepads - because you never know) like some sort of giant cartoon child that had crashed his skateboard into the merch stand and taking every bit of heat his wrong-doers may have gotten during his absense and killing any anticipation of his return by beating the fuck out of them repeatedly until he got "re-hired"... and then beating the fuck out of them some more!

He also seems to be indestructable these days. Remember how quickly he got up when Barrett drilled his head into exposed concrete? Anyone else notice how quickly he recovered from CM Punk's chair attacks? Punk was barely up the ramp before he was on his feet. This injury is the best thing that could have happened for him. At least now his rival can build a shred of credibility before he getting squashed.

I get that he's probably a really nice bloke. I get that he's a dedicated company man. I get that he shifts a fuckload of t-shirts. I get that he is a perfect posterboy for the company and it's direction. I still can't help but find the whole angle to have been another massive let down due to the company policy of playing it safe at all times.

Also shit was TNA throwing all of it's eggs in one basket by making every heel that was over a part of the same faction in the space of 24 hours.

  4. I remember my mum taking us to school when I was about 12 listening to Chris Evans in the morning and I thought it was hilarious. Made going to school actually fun!

Recently if I happen to be in the car with my dad on a Sunday I catch Terry Wogan and find myself really enjoying it. That can't be good.

  5. I'm really hoping John Stape cops it. I can't stand him. He looks like a twat with his gormless face and moronic haircut for starters. And I cannot believe that anyone, even a ginger pig-dog, would take him back after him banging a schoolgirl that lives on her street - not to mention kidnapping said schoolgirl (though that has been swept under the carpet and the whole street has forgiven him)

Fresh out of prison, he then steals his mate's identity to score a teaching job which he manages to pull off for a bit - and have his wife go along with it.

And when said mate comes back and drops dead in his living room he does the only obvious thing - goes on a Weekend At Bernie's like escapade around the street trying not to get caught before dumping the body in a hole in a local building site!

Now his sidekick is somehow in love with him and thinks they are having an affair - so he's going to off her as well.

And whenever one of his ridiculous lies is on the verge of being exposed he pulls a stupid face straight out of a Three Stooges sketch. The only thing missing is a studio audience going "OOOOOHHHH!!!" and a voice-over saying "WHO ELSE BUT STAPEY???"

    Pie-faced wanker.

  6. Holiday Showdown on ITV3 is amazing. Find out what a family does for their holiday. Find out what holiday they would hate to go on. Match up two families that conflict on this subject as closely as possible. Send them away for a week in each other's destination. Film the tears and screaming.

King of Queens on Comedy Central. Not the greatest sitcom of all time but there aren't many bad episodes and the dialog is cracking.

Modern Family on Sky One. Amazing. I can't rate this highly enough.

Men Behaving Badly on Dave. This stuff just never gets old. Bought the complete DVD set for

  7. I've just had dinner with Phillip Schofield after the recording of 2 episodes of The Cube.

He's a lovely man, very friendly and suprisingly smutty.

I had an audition for this. I got call from an withheld number a couple of weeks later (just before the scheduled recording time) that I miss because I was working. No message. No callback. I really hope it wasn't the call for this.

  8. Not totally a wrestling question but I'm sure someone here will know...

Me and the missus got some sweet tickets for Survivor Series this year in Miami. As part of the deal we get to keep the gimmicked up folding chair. Now how easy is it to get one of these home and what the best way to do it?
