So after Mania in New Orleans, me and some friends are heading to NYC. As well as doing some film/tv location spotting, we're thinking of visiting some wrestling sites in NYC lore. So far we have MSG, the old WWF New York location and the Hammerstein Ballroom/Manhattan Center. Anywhere else that I'm missing?

Jarrett and Muto have been playing mates for a few months. I'm actually slightly surprised that it isn't Double J jumping into the ring himself for Wrestle-1. I think TNA fucked their chances of carrying on a working relationship with New Japan when they pulled that ridiculous stunt switching their tag belts in that table match with a fabulously fucking nonsensical finish.

Ive been plowing through the rest of Raws from 1996 and am not up to the end of May 1997 and was wondering who those 2 Nation members were. I recognise everyone else but not sure who that skinny chap is who stands next to Clarence Mason. There was another guy who would also stand next to D'lo but not sure on him either.

I always wondered what his history of the grappling was before he hit WCW in 1992? I can't find any information of note. He seems to have been plucked out of nowhere.

 

Indie stuff in the Colorado area it was. He was pretty new to the business when he popped up in November 1992 for WCW.

Prior to WCW, Scorpio wrestled in Mexico and New Japan (was in the Dojo after being recommended by mate Vader).

Buck Zumhoffe arrested for TWELVE counts of child molesting his DAUGHTER.

 

Longtime AWA pro wrestler Buck "Rock & Roll" Zumhofe was arrested in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota on Monday and is facing 12 criminal sexual conduct charges having to do with allegations from his daughter that he had molested her repeatedly.

 

Zumhofe is charged with sexual crimes when she was between the ages of 15 and 18 and is being held on $500,000 unconditional bond and $100,000 conditional bond on not having contact with the victim.

 

County Attorney Jennifer Fischer, who explained the gruesome nature of the complaint by his daughter, now 29, who came to authorities in March, said the goal is to put Zumhofe away for the rest of his life.

Wow last night I read about the arrest and it was sexually related crimes, but no further information was given. As I didn't know much about the guy a googling I went - and found interviews with him putting his daughter over and questioning why WWE or TNA had shown no interest.

I don't think Martha has anything to do with the rest of the Hart's or anything to do with the wrestling industry at all (unless she's had a complete turnaround these past 10 years), so I can't imagine where a photo of her and her kids could have ended up in print.

I'm watching Summerslam 98 again for the first time since it aired (it's held up better than most things around that time frame), anyway, I'd forgot that the Lions Den match was filmed outside of MSG..

Wikipedia says they filmed it in a different area of MSG with a special crowd....
