Confirmed by WWE - http://www.wwe.com/article/big-bully-busick-passes
QuoteFormer WWE Superstar Nick “Big Bully” Busick has passed away at the age of 63, WWE is saddened to learn.
A notorious in-ring villain known for his signature derby and mustache, Busick battled Superstars like Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Sid and The British Bulldog in the early ’90s.
WWE extends its condolences to Busick’s family, friends and fans.
Bleacher Report adds -
According to Figure Four Online's Bryan Rose, Busick underwent surgery in 2016 to remove cancerous cells in his brain and esophagus. Doctors also diagnosed him with spinal fluid cancer in the past year, and he had been in hospice care prior to his death.
...Busick's son Branko became a mixed martial arts fighter and made his professional debut at Bellator 178 in April 2017, losing a unanimous decision to Tyrell Fortune.

My bad, sorted now.

I don't venture into these parts often, but this popped up and sweet Mother of Jehovah. I won't post the pic, instead have a link. From LadBible, and reported elsewhere, CageWarriors last night in Sweden.
Jack Mason, 1st round defeat by doc stoppage.
FAIR WARNING - Extremely graphic - cut above eye from knee strike...well, more than a cut

I alluded to it in the Bruno thread, but is that the first televised 10 bell salute (non-network only) since Benoit?
-
Posting here as well as in the memorial thread, Bret Hart shared this photo of him and Bruno
Can anyone identify the guy on the left?

Anyone know anything at all about Luca Franchini, the WWE Italian commentator who looks like a proper hard bastard & is heavily tattooed?
Obviously WWE aren’t quite so bothered about their foreign language guys being telegenic as they don’t get so much camera time, but he still looks quite different to the other guys when they do that rundown on PPVs, so he interests me.
Ripped from auto translated Italian Wikipedia
QuoteLuca Franchini started his television experience as a wrestling commentator in September 2000 with the World Championship Wrestling on Stream together with Michele Posa . From the following June 2001 he commented, always with Posa, the episodes of the WWE TV shows . Since September 2003 the duo has passed to the newborn Sky , where his fans know him with the nickname "Il Godzilla ". Together with Posa on Sky, he conducted the weekly "Zona Wrestling" container until the summer of 2009. Still in television, he participated in several sports broadcasts produced by Sky Sports, including 10 (2003), Mondo Gol(2004), DX Generation (2005 and 2006).
Franchini has collaborated on several commercial initiatives related to wrestling in Italy, including DVD series such as WWE Wrestling Megastars and WWE Wrestling Megastars - Greatest Hits , which in the years between 2005 and 2007 recorded sales for over 1.5 million pieces. He lent his voice to some commercials including that of Pepsi and WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2008 . He also commented and presented numerous live wrestling and kickboxing shows . Together with Michele Posa he published books 100 years of wrestling (2006) and Around the ring(2015). The latter traces the fifteen years of career with anecdotes and curiosities related to the world of wrestling.
On the occasion of the recording of the first episode of Raw in Italian territory ( Mediolanum Forum , Milan , April 16, 2007), he made the comment on the show in world vision, always with Posa, alongside the historic American couple composed by Jerry "The King" Lawler and Jim Ross . [1] The same happened during WrestleMania 31 ( Levi's Stadium , Santa Clara , 29 March 2015), also repeating the following year at WrestleMania 32 ( AT & T Stadium , Dallas , 3 April 2016), it is in 2018 at the Mercedes Benz Superdomeof New Orleans for Wrestle mania 34 .
In December 2013 he also started commenting on the darts game for Fox Sports as regards the circuit of the Professional Darts Corporation , of which he commented on two world championships (2014-2015) and numerous international tournaments, including the World Cup of Darts (2014), the World Matchplay (2014) and the European Championship (2014).
He is a fan of Inter [2] and Varese [3] as far as football is concerned, while in basketball he is a fan of the Philadelphia 76ers .
Also caption contest...

Apparently went out on the piss, some video supposedly showing him out and about. He has to be done in the US. Blowing off a huge interpromotional event, on the biggest weekend in the industry, should see him blackballed not only from Impact, but LU, and the other indys in town.

I can see Braun being the next Make-a-wish guy. To kids he looks huge, a real life monster giant, and with his personality as he's shown, I think he would be great in that role.
-
Based on watching Braun on a FB Livestream, the sky is the limit with him. Hearing him talk about Mark Henry being his inspiration, how WWE let him and Alexa just "be themselves", being the "monster" and the "dumb country boy with a cool job". He is genuinely entertaining, conducts himself with class, and when allowed, really a good talker. In the transition towards the post-Vince era, do we see them pushing him into a higher role?
Although dream opponent was Bray...maybe reconsider it.

Fantango - Arrives, glowing orange, inflatable pimp hands (think of the merch sales). Uses the orange mist as a finisher.
Lada - Takes the Ravishing Russian to it's climax.
Rennie Young - Flatulant, uncomfortable, firebreathing...

Hulk Hogan is 6'8, brutha, Terry Bollea is only 6'2.

We know HHH has tie-ins with UK feds, do we know if there is the same arrangement for stateside indies? Have Gargano "go back to the indy circuit", Keep Ciampa doing his Twitter thing, have Gargano in the crowd for a Takeover (his missus is NXT right?), Ciampa in the main, keeps getting distracted etc. Brawl in the crowd, fade to black. Announce non-sanctioned streetfight, Drake as ref. Gargano wins, "signs" for main roster/205.

Nothing more to say other than that poster for tonight is a work of art

I'm overthinking this I'm sure, but do we think Braun's showing in the MMC with Alexa and the promos there, have any bearing on them doing this skit? I mean, from the way he's been portrayed recently, to what happened. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But I didn't give the writing team that much credit for them to suddenly develop him like this. As long as it doesn't lead to a guitar on a pole match on the WM pre-show, I'll be happy.

And he's mainstream news...http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-42963128

If anything, build the gimmick with the overdone tan. Drake Maverick, bright suits and brighter tan.

Morrison's are launching a limited edition Yorkshire Pudding pizza, ostensibly in recognition of Yorkie Pud day.
QuoteThe cheese and batter hybrid combines a crispy Yorkshire pudding base – made in Doncaster in South Yorkshire – with a filling of tomato sauce and mozzarella. It’ll be available in two flavours: classic pepperoni, or meat feast – made up of mini meatballs, pepperoni, spicy beef and jalapeno chillies – with each Yorkshire Pizza costing £3.

Almost the exact thought I had Kaz. The term "passing the torch" has a habit of being overused, but this looks very much like a father making sure his son's uniform is ready for his first day at big school.

They left Impact last year, but there were issues around working visas and so they had to wait for those to be sorted before they could join the company.

Where can we see these? Youtube?
YouTube or the Facebook page. Usually shared by WWE too.
Do we have any knowledge who's booking and scripting the MMC? To go from Braun "the Monster" on Raw to "Mac Truck with a smiley face", and blushing is night and day.
