Again NXT delivers. Great tag match, the glorious entrance and match of Mr Roode, Bayley in baby blue (the tradition continues?) in perhaps the women's match of the year.
Â
That violin, without the crowd would have had more impact, but hey, it's an NXT crowd. Superb match from them both, great chemistry, and a cracking finish that elevates both men, if that's possible.
-
Simply amazing...VangAUrd 1 needs a tag team appearance with Brother Nero.
-
No "future endeavors" or Legends contract. Is Vince giving up the Latino market? Or has Rey's star faded in that regard. Wasn't he a merch machine as well?
-
Could this not also been seen as Sky trying to hype Wrestlemania on PPV, stirring casual interest by putting Fastlane on a basic channel? Take the PPV revenue hit now with hope of reaping extra buys later? Might help with those ignorant of, or unable to get the Network.
-
Am I the only one who thought typical Cena, always putting himself over at the detriment of others?
-
OK, idiot me forgot to clarify. I meant in a title match and ostensibly, on PPV. That'll teach me not to proof read.
-
Excellent review again, Linus. To add to the title finish questions, I've had a hunt and apart from the non-title Austin/Bret match at WM13, I can't find any other "referee stoppage"/TKO finishes. Arnold Skaaland threw in the towel in the Backlund/Sheik match, and am I right in saying Owen talked his mum (I think) into throwing the towel for a Bret match?
One last thing. I have a feeling that may be the only time we ever see that finish, I can't see Vince ever letting it work on the main roster.

Was there any word on whether it was an accident or deliberate? Either way, Rusev and Lana's reactions were priceless. I'd follow it up with opening promo next week with a flag unveiling in-ring, the flag provided by "our comrades in Russia".
-
OK, this might be a strange one, but does anybody have, or know where I might acquire, the FWA: Academy Havant shows on DVD? Particularly looking for #1 (August 2004) But any would be appreciated. Cheers in advance.

And I grow a little more in love with Renee Young
Â
Â
Welp. Guess I might as well challenge @RealSummerWWE to an empty arena match. I'll be Terry, you be Lawler. -
Is there not a chance Sky or another broadcast partner could have a major whinge concerning "original programming"?Â
-
Ah fuck it, this is gonna be fun. First I heard of it was when I saw a post that Brock was already on a jetplane. Rock vs Rusev in a snowman on a pole match, live on the roof of Titan Towers?

Another casual Magic player here. Got back into it through friends at work, recently lost our local game shop courtesy of "redevelopment" (read: flats). Still playing in my friend circle, looking maybe to try and get to some game days. Although I have a weakness for cards...somehow have accumulated over 7000, mainly through job lots and Gumtree.

So yeah, it's buzzfeed, yeah, it's clickbait, but this feels appropriate: Wrestling GIFs for everyday life.

The "she's an independent contractor, not an employee" statement, I see.

Didn't see this posted anywhere...

Not going this year for several reasons...but damn, the one year I don't and the sun is gonna scorch the grounds. Although I am seeing Killswitch at their warm-up gig on Friday.

Heading round a mate's for this. Cheetos and JR's BBQ sauce waiting. He's planning a drinking game involving OMAHA!...I may not last the first quarter.
-
Ok, this is the most minor of minor news...Watching Sport Relief Bake Off (read perving over Victoria Pendleton)...and all of a sudden, Michael Ball says he's making a cake in homage to Big Daddy...and then attempts to rip his arm off putting a skewer into a moving mixer blade.

So basically it's Download 2013 at Knebworth?
-
Google Image Search shows it was made by a guy called Tom Whelan http://strongstuff.net/.
But can't see it in his shop or his blog.

Happening to me. Using Chrome on Virgin (Windows 8.1 for ref). I'll leave the tab open, go off to do something else, and when I refresh or change page...I'm logged out. My login details are still there when I go to log back in.

Beaten to it...but post save

Trivium have announced that they will play a special performance of the set they played at their legendary first Download Main Stage appearance in 2005... but on the Red Bull Stage!
Â
Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto explains, "We are thrilled to be returning to Download for our 5th time. In honour of both the festival and fans that embraced Trivium first, we have decided to play our 2005 set list from start to finish, preceded by a set of some our other festival favourite tunes.
Â
"However, to make it all the more unique, we will be playing this "one time only" set on the Red Bull Stage, the most intimate and intense setting possible for revisiting this special moment in time. We have had some of our best experiences as a band on the hallowed grounds of Donington, and this is shaping up to be one of our most exciting ones yet! Do not miss it!"

OK, something I never realised I needed to know, but now do...

Is there a list anywhere of other promotions' titles appearing on WWE/WCW/ECW programming?
