  1. I think it's the case that they bleeped it out when they had to, and don't feel the need or feel it's worth the time to re-edit everything again. With the general cutbacks around the company, I assume non-required editing is pretty low on the totem pole.

  2. Tremendous main event. Both men showed amazing timing and some of those sequences...beautiful. Definitely didn't feel like a 30+ min match.

I assume Almas moves into a program with Black, and Gargano/Ciampa.

Velveteen Dream continues to impress me, with the whole gimmick, and shows knowledge beyond his years, despite a near botch on the first rolling DVD, he recovered well.

Moon/Bayzler came so close to being something great but didn't fire on all cylinders, and the finish felt very dragged out.

Interesting they chose to announce EC3 in the way they did.

  3. It'll be fine. He can sell ad-spac...oh wait, less commercial breaks, no halftime for them either.

It's ok, he has a national broadc...oh, no NBC on board like last time

What about franchisi...ah, he said no franchises, all centrally-owned.

Well, let's see the old carny bastard sell this.

On a serious note, $100m is just the value of the shares he sold, could well be he's putting personal cash up too.

  4. Well, according to BleacherReport, Rousey won't be at the Rumble

    Quote

Rousey shut down the speculation in an interview with TMZ Sports, saying, "I'm actually leaving to Colombia right now to finish shooting Mile 22 and I won't be back until mid-February."

The former UFC women's bantamweight champion added she hasn't signed any deal with WWE yet either.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Johny Payne of Sportskeeda) reported this week Rousey was "likely" to win the Rumble match

Although as we all know, that doesn't mean she won't be flown in for one night.

  5. The timing (although probably planned for sometime - after NFL playoffs) could not be better. As an announcement, rather than a press conference, this gets eyes on Vince and WWE, without press questions potentially derailing it with the current situations.

Interested to see what the outline for the product will be - teams, divisions, schedules. And as Matrix alluded to, will Mike Ashley be trying to get UK-exclusive merch rights?

  6. Without the location, this could have been Fairfield Halls, Mick McManus doing something naughty and riling up the old gal. I can't choose between the above, that wonderful photo of Gorgeous George and Frenchy, or a leaner, meaner, American Dream.

Ah, for the halcyon days, when kayfabe was God, and there was nothing beyond the public persona.

  7. I think WWE need to put some kind of statement out, rather than just the "Enzo has been released". Speculation, as noted here, is that he knew back in October, but no one knew until it blew up at the weekend. I'm guessing he was suspended as a matter of course (without prejudice), but once it came out he'd known for months, WWE were left with no option but to sack him off; if they need a reason, bringing the company into disrepute. WWE have to be seen to be acting quickly and decisively, and this is totally different to the Rich Swann situation, where they knew from the start and have suspended him pending court action. On that note, any word on Uso and that DUI?

You have to think, if he'd said something back in October, things may have been different (presuming innocent til proven otherwise). Guilty or not, he's been an idiot with how he's handled it.

As an aside, to have been a fly on the wall when Enzo was called into the office.
