  1. I need that extra inch diameter, and the plastic edge to not cut into my arse skin.

Do you have photographic evidence of any dangerous, sharp-edged toilet seats you have experienced?

I've been lucky so far, 32 years and I've never once sat on one with an edge sharp enough to break the skin.

If anything, the edges are moulded so as to avoid such a situation arising.

Although Justice is clearly a sick man I think I know what he means.

We used to have a toilet seat that was a bit wobbly, and occasionally I'd get some arse cheek skin caught between the porcelain rim and the seat when it inevitably moved when I parked up. Fucking horrible.

I can't condone the rest though, Justice

  2. There's no way iit would be download only, we're surely years away from anything like that. Besides, how the fuck am I meant to fit that on my old, dusty 20 gig HD?

  3. Watched Paranormal Activity 3 tonight. I confess, I watched the last 5 minutes through my fingers, it's that damn jumpy.

As did I. I really got into it, and in parts it had me squirming in my seat, even when I was expecting it. Definitely my favourite out of the 3 instalments so far.

The fact that we get more than Cupboards and inanimate object's being moved made it so much better. The scene with the Baby Sitter and bed sheet was great, as was the Bloody Mary stuff, the dude in that scene made it brilliant (although different from the trailer) The oscillating fan/camera provided some great tension bits all in all.

I like how they put the Coven stuff in and linked it up with the Grandmother making a pact with a demon for the first born son, which then connects the the Hunter stuff in PA2.

    Also - Teddy fucking Ruxpin.

  4. GTA III celebrates it's 10 year anniversary this month.

I really want to play it again after watching that. I need to re-download SA off Xbox Live Marketplace and give that a going over too, once Arkham City is done.

I really love the UKFF GTA threads. Make me feel all tingly.

  5. Zombies, fuck yeah that would be awesome :)

Can't wait for the trailer. I did enjoy GTAIV, it kept me entertained enough to want to finish the game and also to play the DLC (Which was probably better than the main game itself to be honest.)

My main problem was there was too much drive to A, kill, Drive back. It gets too samey, a bit more variety akin to RDR would do me.

  6. Went to see Don't be afraid of the dark last night and it was a massive let down.

Pearce and Holmes aren't very good as the adults, Madison is probably the best thing about it.

I've not seen the original, but this remake is full of terrible plot holes. No investigation as to why the groundkeeper was brutally assaulted in the basement. The dude had his eye stabbed and stumbled out with a scissor in his shoulder, gets taken to hospital and the authorities are happy that he had an 'accident'.

After squashing the creature in the library, the little girl doesn't bother to show the corpse to her disbelieving father.

When Holmes gets pulled to her death in the end, father and daughter return to the scene to leave a picture the girl has drawn in memory. No police involvement or even a search of the basement to even try and find her/ the creatures.

The creatures themselves wouldn't look out of place in a Disney movie, they get way too much screen time which kills scaryness about them.

    Shit.

  7. Can some please point me in the direction of some 'Horror Westerns'?

I recently watched 'The Burrowers', it's not great but the idea of scary shit going down in a Western really interests me.

Have there been any Zombie Westerns at all?

There are not many horror westerns, and even less that are any good. High Plains Drifter is as close as you will get, but it's not really a horror film.

    Try Grim Prairie Tales, perhaps.

    Again, thanks.

Got me thinking, why hasn't some blockbuster film company put a shit load of money behind a Zombie themed western and done it properly? Surely theres is a Market for something like this.

I don't know, really. I think the zombie thing has been completely overdone now and they should move on to mummies instead.

That said, with the western still in a major slump, that might be the reason why they haven't gone ahead and combined the two in a major way.

It's only now I'm starting to enjoy Westerns. I watched lots as a kid with my Dad but it's only now that I'm really starting to get into them. Got a few Eastwood boxsets to make my way through. On the subject on Zombies being overplayed, it's true, but there's something about nasty flesh eaters that intrigues me. I can't get enough of 'em.

A big budget Zombie western needs to happen.

Edit - Mummies? What do they even do?

  9. See i thought the opposite. I laughed pretty hard at most of the gags but the characters were all a bit off key. Simon was pretty overwhelming with his whining and almost ruined the character for it. How am i supposed to buy in to an attractive girl pursuing him when he's that much of a nob. Jay who is usually the biggest cunt of the group was probably the most likeable and since when has Neil been a granny shagging lothario. The ending was too unInbetweenersish as well. That said the gags had some of the biggest belly laughs i've heard in the cinema and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives.

I thought that too. The Simon character was always the most levelheaded and I suppose normal of the bunch. I ended up hating him during this film.

On a unrelated note, is the new Final Destination worth watching in 3D? A mate of mine recommended it but I'm not too sure after suffering through the previous ones.
