  1. Not much I can see in the Premiership this week.2.4 for Man City at home to beat Newcastle (-Owen) seems very nice. 4/6 for Man City -0 on the asian seems good, as I cant see them losing this one.No value at all for the top 4 this week, especially since 3/4 are away. If anything Id prefer the double chances on the home teams to cause a shock.Derby have drifted in the match odds against Bolton, which now means you can get Derby -0 at 2.22. Seems a gamble worth taking. That and Pomey to beat Reading are the two Ill take I think.

  2. I havent read about it here. Seems like a very risky strategy, to put all your cash on one bet every week, regardless of how much of a "cert" it is. The odds are around 1.10, which means on average, youre going to get one loser in every 10 bets. I may have understood wrong, but are you going to be banking any of the cash every week?

This guy basically did what youre planning on doing. He had 235 bets, and made a loss.

I did some searching around, and this guy did what you want to do as well. Will be worth a read if youre putting any sort of money on:

  3. Its pretty obvious it'll be Lewis Hamilton for BBC Sports Personality of the Year in December. I'd lump on.

Silly advice. Hes a 1/5 shot. Unless some member has thousands of pounds to bet, theres no point at all in having your money tied up for 6 months for very little return.
  4. Big Ron Studd - At a guess, maybe Ron Reese, the 7ft guy who joined The Flock.Jerry Flynn - Did some Karate/Judo gimmick. Horribley average and forgetable.Tokyo Magnum - Works for Toryumon/Dragon Gate in Japan, as one of its main stars. Havent seen or heard about him for a while mind. I presume he still works there. Im pretty sure its Magnum TOKYO, as well.Lash Leroux - Average cruiser. Joined the MIA group.Reno - I remember at the time there was a lot of buzz about Reno. People thought he could go places. A victim of bad luck and timing I guess, as he was there at the end of WCW. Had a good look, and a good finisher, and WCW actually gave him a good push. I remember back then that people were creaming themselves over his Roll The Dice finisher. Think he was the first person to use it. It was the reverse DDT, spin into face crusher move (I think Test used it). People wouldnt think twice about it now, but back then it was a big deal.

  5. Its the one where he ends up almost out of the ring, the nearest side to the commentators. Anyone got a specific date? I checked a website, but cant see where it would happen. RVD vs Cor Von? Ive seen that 8 man extreme rules match and dont remember seeing it then. Was it even further back than this?

  6. I thought Eternal Darkness was a pretty good game. Moved along at a good pace, and I seem to remember some pretty good scary/creepy moments from it. The fact that I havent heard anything about a sequal seems to suggest it didnt sell very well.Lately, Ive become obsessed with Wii Sports Tennis. I now have a rating of just over 2000. Easily my favourate game from Wii Sports (with boxing being the worst).

  7. Boro look the pick of the Premiership bunch today. Good odds to beat City at Home. Even the FA Cup factor shouldnt be enough.Blackburn to beat West Ham at home also looks a very nice bet at good odds, as well.Double pays around 2/1, so chucked a fiver on it.

  8. What a start! I'm not an expert by any stretch of my overactive imagination, but the bookies made him too strong a favourite - as good a player as he can be, his form is so in and out it's not worth the paper it's written on. It isn't a criticism of Priestley to say I could have beat Barney tonight - he just wasn't all there. Don't let that put you off backing him next week - far from it. If anything, his price will be inflated (when it shouldn't be) and if he's 1/2 or longer, I'll certainly be backing him. Being crap one week for him means nothing the next day, let alone the next week.CURRENT STANDINGS -

  9. Quick one for the puro fans.I remember watching a music video a while back featuring a clip of Kobashi from the AJPW days, I think hes facing Stan Hansen. Kobashi is sitting on the top rope facing outwards and Hanson is on the apron. The 2 are stiffing the shit out of each other when Kobashi grabs Stans head and bashes it against his knee a cople of times before Hansen gets pissed and CRACKS Kobashi with a killer blow sending him flying back into the ring. Coming at a time when i was unfamiliar with the stiffer Japaneese style it left a huge impression.Im looking to track down that match but ned to know what date it occred and that it was Stan Hansen delivering that killer blow! On a certain site there is a match "Kenta Kobashi vs. Stan Hansen (4/4/1990)" available, is this the one?

Im 90% sure its from 7/31/93.Edit: This match is on the Komplete Kobashi compilation. 8 tapes of Kobashi, from the start of his carrer to some of his early NOAH work. An awesome compilation and highly recommended.
  10. The most popular bet this week seems to be Arsenal -1.5 on the Asian handicap at around evens. Its obviously a game that they should win easy, but they can be very fustrating at times.Reading at nearly evens to beat a dire Charlton at home seems very very sweet. My bets for this weekend:Arsenal/Chelsea/Man Utd -

  11. I think Villa/Blackburn will be a draw personally.I also will not be touching the Chelsea game. Chelsea away is something to stay away from, IMO.As for my betting, I now only bet on home teams to win, and never go more than a treble. Has been paying off as well.

  12. A lot of people seemed to fancy Watford today. They were definately at the top of the "good value bet" list for a lot of people. Bet the bookies lost cash on that match. After eventing, I know, but I had a pretty nice 3/1 treble on Watford/Man Utd/Liverpool.There seems to be a lot of talk about West Ham getting a draw tommorow against Arsenal. What do people think? I cant see it myself.
