  1. Hairspray - Right, I didn't go out of my way to see this, I just didn't have a choice after Harry Potter was still fully booked and sold out by the time we got to the cinema. It was a choice of this or Evan Almighty. The first 10 minutes I'm sitting their thinking 'what the fuck am I doing here?'. By the time the film finished I was smiling from ear to ear. I loved it, really really loved it. It was cheesy, funny and had a real touching story to it underneath the glitter and outragous costumes. John Travolta is a legend in this film. The best thing he's done since Pulp Fiction IMO. I quite like funny muscials anyway (Little Shop of Horrors, The Producers), but I was really surprised as to how funny this was. Oh, and I was having very wrong throughts about Amanda Bynes and a lollipop all evening.

Agree with all of that.. I also went into it because of reasons other than my own interests.. but ended up loving it! I even ended up enjoying some of the songs! Quality film.. and Queen Latifa's line on the white people was just hilarious!Anyway...Little Miss SunshineFinally watched this lastnight after brilliant reviews. I thought it was a really good film.. the acting was top notch.. and that girl was so adorable! I just couldnt help but feel that it lacked a bit? Probably that 'must see it again' factor. It was a different movie to the usual 'girl has far fetched dream.. girl gets dream'. Had some really funny moments in it too. Overall.. I really good film to watch.. but just once.
  2. Taxi DriverI liked this.. It was a good film.. had a good story and seeing Jodie Foster that young was as wrong as Natalie Portman in Leon The Professional!Whilst it was a good movie.. it wasnt as good as some people made it out to be. I still think The Departed is better.. Goodfellas is better... but this was miles ahead of Donnie Brasco.Id probably give it a 7/10 if I was to rate it.A Bronx Tale is next!

  3. The Guyver

I used to love this film when I was younger.. watched it again yesterday.. it wasnt as good as I remember it.. but it still has one of my favourite movie theme tunes! Good film overall.

    Hairspray

Went to the cinema to watch this last week.. and was dreading it when I read 'watch this if you like Chicago, Grease etc'.

I wouldnt have thought this in a million years.. but I actually really enjoyed it! It has some great comedy moments in it.. cheesy but funny. I probably will watch it again for some of the comical moments involving John Travolta.

    Really good film!

    Jet Li - Fearless

I loved this. I cant remember a Jet Li film I didnt enjoy.. and it was the same with this one. Some great fight scenes. I really hate that haircut though! (front half of head shaved with ponytail)

I just heard about 2 future Jet Li films... one is called WAR, with Jason Statham.. and the other is a film with Jackie Chan (cant wait!)

  4. Does anyone know whats happened with Vitali Klitschko?.. The last time I heard about him he was retired.. and I read somewhere recently that he just beat someone in the ring? What's going on with the Heavyweight scene these days anyway.. Its been quite a while since I paid attention to it!

  5. Donnie BrascoI've recently been trying to watch as many gangster/crime films as I can.. I've been searching another Goodfellas/Departed/Casino/Scarface.I thought this one was OK.. its not something I'd watch again though. It had a good story but didnt really have anything to keep me glued to the screen.Al Pacino was probably the main reason I carried on watching.. because I fucking love the guy.Cant wait to watch Taxi Driver!

  6. the Hopkins/Wright undercard was fucking fantastic too...try checking it out.

I cought the Linares/Larios match halfway through.. had no idea who they were.. just tuned in for the Hopkins/Wright fight.. it ended up being an awesome bout. Not too much defense compared to the main event. The knockout was really good aswell
  7. Im in need for some good Playstation 2 games. Havent played any amazing ones since Resident Evil 4.. which is probably joint top in the best game I've ever played (along with Metal Gear 2)Are there any good ones out right now. or games that have been released in the last few months?Also... has anyone played Metal Gear 3 Subsistence?.. Ive played Metal Gear 3-Snake Eater.. so would there be any point for me getting Subsistence? (I wont be playing online)

  8. I loved Rocky.. it was the first film I've seen in a Cinema where people actually clapped at the end!Loved how they used the music from previous films (the part where he sees flashbacks of Mickie telling him to 'get up.. run over him' was awesome!)Wish they had Eye Of The Tiger on the opening credits though!

  9. Murtz I understand searching for an aswer. But the autopsy concluded Nancy Died on Friday, Daniel on Saturday and Chris Saturday night/sunday morning. They've stated that clearly.

Oh yeah dont get me wrong, Im not sitting here saying 'ignore the autopsy report.. its Benoit.. he's a face he aint a murderer'. Im just saying that I can understand people still sticking up for him.. because its such a confusing situation that even I am trying to think of possible situations that are not the same as what has been reported (just because this situation is just sensless!)If people are sticking up for him just because he is a former World Champion, and can 'mat wrestle' unlike no other.. then thats just Bang Out Of Order! [/Partridge]
  10. I thought id say how I feel about all of this...This has got to be one of the most confusing story I can ever remember reading.. not only within Wrestling, but any World News story.I fully accept what the investigation has concluded.. Im not one of those people that will let the status of a person influence my judgment on them if they've murdered their wife and kid. Hell, if the Pope killed his children Id condemn the fucker to hell. But I can see masses of people that will be sticking up for him no matter what the evidence says.. 'But he's a man of god.. he cant have done that.. and even if he did it must have been a good reason'. I myself cant understand that way of thinking.. but I can accept that there are people out there that are so 'attached' to a person.. that they refuse to accept them being done for murder... No matter how conclusive the evidence is.Even though I believe the outcome of all this.. Im still so confused as to why it all happened. And I think because of that confusion.. my head is thinking of possible scenarios that are more 'obvious' than the one the investigators have come out with.Forget who this person was.. lets just take is as this... a Man.. going home for a family emergency.. kills his wife on a friday in a brutal fashion.. kills his 'mentally retarded' son a day later... and finally hangs himself?. It just doesnt add up... but just because id dont add up doesnt mean Im not willing to accept that it has happened. After reading the last few pages of this thread.. I came across information of how the parents were struggling with the care of their mentally retarded son (I hate saying that term.. but its the way it was reported). And as soon as I read that.. combined with all the information I already knew.. I came up with the most logical solution that my mind can accept as a genuine possibility. Two parents struggling to take care of their child who is suffering from a mental condition. The wife accidently/intently kills the child, probably because she didnt want him to suffer or she couldnt hack it. The father gets called home after the wife's guilt sinks in.. The father is outraged.. kills the wife in a brutal fashion... and then kills himself. That theory makes more sense to me.. but sense is something that is thrown out of the window when you're talking about family members murdering each other. (As well as the autopsy saying Daniel was killed after Nancy). Its all just so confusing.. but that being said.. I have to believe that a man killed his wife and child, just because of the evidence provided. This man being one of the best superstars in a sport that I love doesnt make no difference to me.

  11. I think people that are saying that he definately DIDNT do it are as stupid as people that are saying he definately DID do it. I myself dont know what to think of all this, even though the reports are swaying towards Benoit being the killer.I aint going to sit here saying he's scum until it is 100% confirmed.. which I cant really see happening anytime soon.. and no matter what there will always be questions surrounding this no matter what. When the family emergency thing occured.. where was Benoit?.. was he with the roster at that time? Or did he ring from his house.. because if he was with the roster.. I get the feeling something happened to his son before Benoit got there.

  12. Shit.. I really cant believe this! Just came onto UKFF to browse a little, and didnt even see this thread until I spotted the Chris Benoit memorial thread. Really really shocked.. I dont think Im as shocked and hurt as I was when Eddie died, but the things surrounding Benoits death are really hard to get to grips with. Im going through endless scenarios in my head.. and all of them are just really fucked up.Like someone mentioned earlier, Eddie and Benoit both died in the week they were scheduled to win the main title. Just fucked up. The WMXX end shot has a whole new meaning to it now.Rest In Peace Benoit

  13. Heres a clip from Dailymotion.. Its a 15 min or so clip showing clips of the Raw after Judgement Day 2000.. where The Rock stalks all members of the McMahon/Helmsley faction.. and at the end the Undertaker returns to raw with the American Badass music :).. One of the best Raws I've seen.. well worth the watch! (may need to sign up!)

  14. Im a huge Metal Gear fan.. the first 2 games are amongst the best I've ever played (only Resident Evil 4 tops it).. and I havent bought Subsistence yet because people keep on saying that its just an extended version of MG2?.. Is it worth me buying it..?Im on the look out for a new game at the moment.. Can anyone recommend me some good ones? ( Im currently looking at Burnout Dominator, Pirates 3, Spiderman 3.. thats the only new good ones I know of so far...dont want God Of War 2.. couldnt seem to get into the first one!)

  15. Didnt see the point of making a new thread for this...Yesterday I played Pro Evolution 6 (like I do most days).. but when it was loading the option file.. it said something like Data Error! I tried everything.. but it doesnt seem to pick the option file up!Anyway.. I have to start over.. anyone know some quick ways to get some points together for the PES Shop?.. i cant be bothered to do the league or get 50 points by playing a match...

  16. Boyz n the HoodI watched this for the first time in years lastnight.. and its just as good as I remember it being. I think this was Cuba Jr's first major role?.. thought he was brilliant.. The film told a great story from start to finish.. and even though this type of film has been done over and over again since.. its still probably the best of the lot!Diary of a Mad Black WomanThis was absolutely awesome! The story is about a woman getting her revenge on her cheating husband.. accompanied by her Nan Madea(Tyler Perry cross dressing).. Madea is hilarious throughout.. and behind the great laughs is a really good story aswell.Must watch for people that liked stuff like Nutty Professor

  17. Freedom WritersI thought this was great.. some scenes really emotionally drew you in. It was really really similar to Dangerous Minds.. but had a sort of different direction to it (DM was about sorting the kids out and making them learn... this one was about having the kids do something that makes a difference.. write)Hilary Swank is awesome.. I just love her.. I've only seen 2 films of her and shes been great in both.. she plays the silly/innocent/naive role perfectly.Great story.. gives you alot to think about.. Reminded me a bit of a toned down version of City of God (very toned down)8/10NorbitI watched two totally different films in one day.. although this uses alot of very immature jokes.. eg Fat person flying through a fence.. it was pretty funny.. You really have to be in an immature mindframe to watch it.. otherwise you'll sit through it with a blank expression (like my girl!)No way as bad as Epic Movie... No way near as awesome as Nutty Professor6/10Memoirs of A GeishaI randomly ended up watching this yesterday.. I thought it was a pretty good film! The plot however was a bit confusing... A little girl who was a slave.. turns into a top geisha.. a geisha being someone who entertains males.. and after a while has a bidding war for her virginity?.. Thats how the film portrayed a Geisha to me... that aside.. it was a good movie.. not something I regret watching.. but not something I'll watch again.Oh and that main actress is just stunning! I think she was the asskicking girl in Rush Hour 2 aswell...Speaking of Rush Hour.. whats going on with the 3rd installment?.. Im sure I heard something about it a few years ago...
