  1. I respected Flair as a pro wrestler. For me, he’s up there as one of the all time greats. 1980s and 1990s Ric Flair more often than not gave the fans more than their money’s worth. He’s also been through a lot. I can’t begin to imagine what losing a son must feel like. But seeing as Flair very nearly died in recent years and judging by his past drunken antics over the decades, you’d have thought he’d look in the mirror and give alcohol the wide berth. He’s really doing himself no favours. And judging by his name and shame social media posts (something that I personally despise), he thought he was in the right. It’s really quite sad to see.
  2. 1 - Renationalise the rails, gas and electricity. Something is seriously wrong when it costs more to travel by rail than it does by plane. 2 - Abolish the Monarchy and Britain becomes a Republic. The Monarchy is an archaic and unfair system and there’s no way it should have a place in modern society. Unlikely I know. 3 - Fund and manage the NHS and the entire public sector better. The organisations often have too many managers and not enough staff doing the actual work. I know this first hand because I’ve worked in the public sector for over twenty years. 4 - Rejoin the EU customs union. The country voted to leave the EU and I accept that. If we were still in the EU Customs Union, perhaps importing and exporting goods would be a lot easier and cheaper. 5 - Put a price cap on live sports and entertainment ticket prices and ban ticket scalping above face value. So many people are taking the piss with ticket prices these days.
  3. I stand corrected (it’s been a rough time lately). Yes, far worse.
  4. 50 photos of Simon Le Bon? Crazy stalker vibes.
  5. I agree. Spurs have a history of being one of Man City’s bogey teams. Spurs away is definitely City’s toughest remaining league fixture this season.
  6. Nunez looks clumsy AF and a liability a lot of the time yet still occasionally contributes important goals and looks like a decent player when he’s in the mood. Unfortunately for Liverpool, it was the former last night.
  7. I really don’t think that wrestling would’ve been what it was, at least internationally without Vince McMahon. Other promotions have tried but haven’t had the same level of popularity as WWE. Even when WCW was America’s number one promotion for those 83 weeks, they were still seen as very much a US based wrestling promotion with limited TV deals and touring outside the USA. WWE toured more often internationally and generally had the better overseas TV deals, even when they were struggling financially in the 90s. So no, I don’t think anyone else would’ve made wrestling what it was if Vince hadn’t.
