  1. One of my mates just mentioned to me in passing something about Debra. I had never heard it before, so I thought I would chuck it on here and seek confirmation or whatever. They reckon Stone Cold or WWE could sue Debra cause one of the terms in the Austin/Debra divorce was that she would never mention steroids or such in interviews to the press and media. Is that true?

  2. Rather then some of us calling Benoit a killer and saying stuff like he will never make the hall of fame. Maybe we should be talking about the good times like some of the great matches he had instead?

There is a thread for that already on the board.
  3. And the reason for that is Triple H could probably come and go as he pleases and on his return get catapulted straight back into the main event mix. Wrestlers further down the card/with less clout would be scared to speak out etc. as they would probably fear 'losing their spot' and all their hard work and sacrifices unravelling before their eyes. It's a no win situation. The ones higher up the card, earning the big bucks, probably wouldn't want to change a thing. The ones who aren't happy (and earning the crap money) are probaby too fearful to speak out.In saying that I sometimes wonder what kind of life John Cena has away from the WWE. He seems to be everywhere. Probably the same for Matt Hardy.

In fairness, and in Triple H's defence - its not like he is the only one who could go for a couple of months and still be main event when he returned. I'm more than willing to bet that if John Cena picked up and injury where he was off for 5 months, he would still come back as a main eventer. If The Rock came back tomorrow, he would still be a main eventer despite not being on the show for years. There are certain people there that have, I suppose "earned the right" to have their spot held for them. Maybe its not fair, but if John Cena was missing for 5 months and Matt Hardy was his headline replacement, when Cena comes back - who are the crowd gonna want as the main guy? Thats why the spots get held for people.
  4. I just read the report that Benoit might of been under stress and I was really ticked off so I sent them this to get something off my chest"I see no one left there name for the report.Reports which are on WWE are meant to be unbias no matter what. Not everyone is clear what happened. Whoever wrote this needs there head testing then Michael Cole too for letting this media pass.I know the world wants to know what is happening with Benoit, we dont know if Nancy and Chris actually planned this or anything. Its not fair your pointing the finger too early towards a unfit man. Just because everything points towards Chris doesnt make it so.Just because you read it on the paper look it up on TV whatever the source we dont know the results from Chris, Nancy and Daneils Autotospy YET.Why dont you do the only decent thing WWE can do, youve removed his name from mention, banded all Benoit media from shows, taking his Autographed Figure auction of, just to leave him be just remove him from the site. Let him and his family rest in peace we dont know anything."Sorry but something doesnt add up here....

I cant believe people are still clutching at whatever possible straw to try and excuse, defend or justify what Benoit has done. Amazing.
  5. While I agree it with every point that has be said against "off seasons" and dont personally think it would happen/work myself, i just want to reiterate that I didnt suggest that Vince would just do it and disregard the lost money. I was saying that if the government stepped in and demanded a governing body or commission to monitor wrestling the way say the FIFA/UEFA/FA do with football, then Vince wouldnt really have a choice. Clearly he wouldnt do it out of the goodness of his heart. Anyway, it was a stupid suggestion.

  6. Taking people off the road won't help. That's the reason that some people suggest TNA has a worse recreational drug problem than WWE - the guys just have too much spare time. The only thing that will help most of those issues is serious regulation including random zero-level testing and medical suspensions for injured wrestlers. Regular counselling would make a difference for a lot of guys too, as the psychological impact of being "on" 24/7 is seemingly pretty tough.

I know someone mentioned it before, but what would you think about having an off season? Like the Premiership or any other sport really. Say the three months in between Summerslam and Survivor Series for example. I the context of actual sports, the "season" should finish at Mania and come back in time to build for Summerslam - but that wouldnt work cause there would be no point in cutting off at Mania when the ratings are generally the highest. Even if they were to alternate which show was having its off season. ECW could stop at Wrestlemania for example, Raw at Summerslam and Smackdown at Survivor Series. They would have to take the brands seriously though and not allow inter brand jumping. Like, its not good taking Raw off the air for 3 months only to have Cena and HHH jump to Smackdown for the off season. I havnt put much thought into it, but does anybody think it would work?
Disregarding the obvious reason it won't happen for just a second that's a sound shout provided the wrestlers aren't roped into switching brands (as you say)- however the WWE would again be no slave to a force-of-circumstance where all of the main-eventers of one brand will be completely twatted whilst another was taking a break. They'd also make sure they can guarantee that only ONE brand will be off at any particular time, and - somewhat boneheadedly - neither of the two active brands will benefit from the slack time the 'resting' brand, even if it was a '2-night, 2-part' Raw where pretty much everybody the brand can get TV time (even if it's just promos). The obvious reasons it won't happen- Vince loves squeezing cash out of everything he's got. If any one of the brands weren't profiting at any one time he'd rather can it altogether than give it 3 months off to freshen things. Also, this is three months- ONE FULL QUARTER of a year that the shareholders will see a big fat blank space representing one brand....
Yeah, your right. Of course your right. They would never do it and all. And I can totally see where you coming from. But if the government where to set up say, some sort of a regulation commission or governing body for wrestling - outside of Vince McMahon - then they might not have a choice in the matter.Obviously in a complete theory - they shouldnt have a problem with making sure there is only 1 brand in an off season at a time. Say it went like this. Wrestlemania - King of the Ring (just an example); Smackdown would be in down season for 3 months.Summerslam - Survivor Series; Raw would be off for 3 months.Survivor Series - No Way Out; ECW would be off for 3 months. ECW would miss the Royal Rumble,. but they would all be active before Wrestlemania. If the governing body was to regulate that a draft could only occur once a year at a pre-determined time, like the January transfer window in football, it would stop Vince from hotshotting wrestlers from show to show. If Raw was damaged by injuries, it would be the same as Man United being damaged by injuries and they would just have to deal with it. They cant go out and borrow players from other teams, so Raw shouldnt be able to borrow from Smackdown. They would have to wait til the transfer window. Like i said, its all theory and would probably never work. But I'd be interested to hear the opinions of some other people on it.
  7. off seasons and such are such a waste of time being discussed... unfortunately these days, money is more important than life or death people

Yeah and its a waste of time to discuss what way the invasion angle should have been booked, whether or not is was morally right or wrong for Vince to do a murder storyline, what tactics the England team should use and what might have been going through Benoit's head in his final hours. Cause its not gonna change any of it. But we still discuss them. In other words, fuck off.
  8. Taking people off the road won't help. That's the reason that some people suggest TNA has a worse recreational drug problem than WWE - the guys just have too much spare time. 9. If the drugs were prescribed for legitimate medical use - then I doubt it would have been included in the police report as something strange.

  10. If the reports were that Nancy was hit over the head with a blunt object, then maybe you could argue for an accident. Maybe the was an argument and he lost his temper and lashed out. Didnt mean to hit her but he did. Or maybe he pushed her and she tripped and banged her head on a table, that another accident. But the reports say that Nancy was strangled, therefore it wasnt an accident. You dont strangle or suffocate someone by accident. You could say that he saw red and was blindly by rage, claim temporary insanity and that he didnt know what he was doing til it was over, but it was no accident. People need to get that into their heads. No accident. If this was some news report in the paper or on Sky News, you would think the guy was twisted, evil and cold hearted. Cause its Benoit, people try to come up with any excuse, justification or reasoning to try and defend him and save their hero's reputation.

  11. To Curryangel, stfu and wait for the official comment before you start tarring a guys name with such vile accusations

Nobody here is tarring his name with vile accusations. The police are the ones making the accusations, some of us are just taking in the facts without having reality blurred by all the 5 star matches spinning around in our heads.
  12. I think carolann brings up a good example with the other people who kill loved ones all the time and nobody says anything - although I have a slightly different take on it. It goes to illustrate how much love and affection we all have for our favourite superstars, be it wrestling, footie or whatever. If this was a case that was reported on the news or on some Forensic Crime Scene show that didnt involve Benoit, people would just automatically assume that the killer was an evil bastard to be able to carry out such a deed. Because its Benoit (or anyone we know for that matter, if it happened with Steven Gerrard in the morning it would be the same) people spend a lot of effort and thought into trying to find reasons why it might have happened or blindly ignore evidence and such. We dont know what Chris Benoit was capable of in his personal life, so to say that "it doesnt add up" or "Benoit doesnt seem the type" is just silly, cause you wouldnt afford that same luxury to some Joe Nobody you read about in the paper or see on the news.

  13. We know that's wrong now, as his body was found in the weights room, not the foyer. Plus the police believe he did it.

Is the "weight's room" bit confirmed, or just a rumour from the PWT?
It was announced officially. Some police guy mentioned it on Sky Sports News earlier.
Ah, right, OK.What did people make of the HHH story on Raw? He said "funny story" and then told a story of benoit making a "young wrestler" do 1000 squats in the locker room for disrespecting Shawn Michaels, and then the following day, when the kid couldn't bend his legs, made him do 500 more. I thought it made Benoit sound more like an ogre than a consummate pro who demanded respect.
Yeah but wrestlers in general are wankers. I never understood how Benoit always kept such a sparkling reputation with everyone anyway. He was part of that wrestlers court thing that people used to accuse the other members, Undertaker and JBL of using purely to bully people and make themselves feel big, yet Benoit never got mentioned in a bad light. It just goes to show how much of an internet d,arling he is the way so m any people are reacting to the murder situation too. If it was Triple H involved, I highly doubt 5% of the same people would be saying "Lets just wait for confirmation first", or "Triple H doesnt have a murderous rage in him", before they accepted that he was to blame. Here, people are just blindly ignoring facts coming from dozens of sources that Benoit murdered his family and then committed suicide. Its all very sad and all, very tragic news that remains tragic whether or not it was natural causes like some people hope, or whether it was murder like some people refuse to believe. Benoit being dead is such sad news for wrestling fans, but the part thats upset me most is the murder of his 7 year old child. I dont know what could possibly go through someones mind that would make them do that, especially when he has two other kids to live for.EDIT: To the people saying "it doesnt add up" when new bits of news come out - what doesnt add up? None of us new Benoit or Nancy so stop saying stuff like "why would Nacy kill her son" in a 'she doesnt seem the sort' tone. We dont know either of them or what they were capable of. For all we know Benoit used to slap her around for years and wasnt the perfect role model human being that we all thought he was.
  14. 4.6, 4.6, 4.6. Fuck me, Partridge, I always knew you were a pompous smart-arse, but what's with the numbers? Boring cuntI think it's probably pointless to say this, seen as how you're always right about everything, but I care not one jot if "nobody" likes me at this place. You may have got your first hard-on in 4 years when you saw you were a contender for "UKFF Poster Of 2005" (wowee, makes the Oscars & the BAFTAs look like a sack of crap! Is the awards ceremony a black-tie affair at the Ritz, or is it a "3 litre bottle of cider & all the pork scratchings you can eat do" round at Lantern's gaff?), when I saw I was one of the "Dolts" (why not "Retard" or "Cunt", mods? "Dolt" is lame as fuck) I laughed so hard I nearly creamed in my pants. The fact that a series of complete nobodies cared so much about being in certain categories of a FAKE awards is just too funny. Some people really do care about this forum an awful lot, you especially, Alan, we all know it's your be-all-&-end-all. You will disagree with me until your blue in the face, because that's what you do best, but I am not one of them. My "tantrum" came at a time when I thought "Fuck it, this lot aren't worth sucking up to, what makes them better than me? The fact that I'm a "dolt" & they're a "brilliant poster". Wow, you'll be up for the Nobel fucking Prize for sheer self-indulgence next. You & your boyfriends have given guys like Spyke a hard time, just because he actually did what you didn't want to see him do; namely take his "At Not With" nomination in good humour. So after getting peeved that HE wasn't peeved, you accused him of never having anything constructive to post at the UKFF, to try & bring him down again. Who are you to say whether someone has or hasn't been a productive forum member? You got irritated that he didn't care about his oh-so-embarrassing "At Not With" nomination, because Spyke probably realises that a pointless awards for a forum full of geeks isn't the most important thing on the planet. Now fuck off & phone Fernando.

Two of the main points that struck me with this post were the following:

I care not one jot if "nobody" likes me at this place.

    and

Some people really do care about this forum an awful lot, you especially, Alan, we all know it's your be-all-&-end-all.

Now let me refer you to this post made by JSB himself when he opened up to me in a thread about John Cena when explained that he was so happy to be back and that he was gonna stop being a twat. From the end of this thread, the last 2 or 3 pages, I think its pretty clear that your care about this forum and what people think of you more than your letting on in this thread. See for yourself:

Seriously though, after I got banned from the UKFF for about a month, month `n a half, I joined another wrestling forum that, at first inspection, looked fairly active as it had a great deal of members, but literally after my first post introducing myself I noticed that all I'd entered into was an absolutely cretinous forum frequented by tosspots who'd been banned from the UKFF long-term, along with a motley crew of "ironic" racist & homophobic posters & a handful of "moderators" who couldn't moderate a piss-up at their local brewery.I won't even give the name of the forum, as it's such a doghole it doesn't deserve even a wee bit of publicity, positive or negative. All I'll say is, being there for a couple of weeks made me truly realise for the first time what a twat I'd been in my previous UKFF stints, & as soon as my ban here was lifted I vowed not to go down that path again (& of course, by letting the unnamed forum & it's mods know what an absolutely pathetic corner of the World Wide Web they really are).

It was truly a heart felt post. If you wanna refer to the thread yourself to see the emotional confession, just click the link. I occurs in the last 2 or 3 pages. JSB Brings a tear to UKFF's collective eye
  15. Man dies, heel slights him, face sticks up for dead man and kicks heel's ass in revenge.  It's in very poor taste but it's sensible in the context of pro-wrestling.

What? When did this happen? What heel "slighted" Eddie Guerrero and what face "stuck up for him" and then kick his ass in "revenge"?I dont recall the Randy Orton v Undertaker Hell in a Cell being built around Undertaker sticking up for Eddie's legacy or anything like that. The lowrider wasnt used in the context that your implying that it was used.
I thought it let to a match between Mysterio and Big Show? What did it have to do with Orton and Undertaker?
Have you even seen the incident?

  17. This might sound a tad disrespectful, but here it goes. Surely Eddie Guerrero is only getting votes in this category because of his death. How long was he a face this year? Three months in an mid card tag feud. He was heel for the vast majority of the year, how someone who was heel for the majority of the year can get so many votes for best face is beyond me. No disrespect to Eddie intended.

  18. Lowrider incident.

I agree. I'm shocked to say the least that not only is the lowrider angle not running away with this award but it's not even winning! I mean come on. Fuck Tim White, that's just using death for laughs. With the lowrider angle they used a real bloke's death in order to advance a storyline. A man died. He stopped living. His wife lost a husband and his kids lost a dad. The WWE three weeks later used his death in a storyline. Nothing they did this year even comes close to how bad that was. It boggles my mind that people are putting the JR skit or Jillian Hall's mole before it.
I also voted for that. It was the most miserable thing I saw all year. I don't remember there being a lot of outrage on here though. I moaned at my wife about it! Cunts.
There was definitely an outrage of sorts, at the very least. I can remember some very 'sternly worded' posts in the corresponding smackdown thread about it. At the time, a lot of people didnt want to comment on it because they hadnt seen it, but it was that special episode of Smackdown that didnt get aired over here, I think. So thats why not too many people commented on it, and thats why people arent voting for it either. If you never seen it, you wont remember it that well.
  19. A lot of times you simply will not take another persons opinion on board, I know myself and many other forum members are guilty of this too, but you often become a little abusive to people who don't see things your way.

That's rubbish I'm afraid. I take on the opinions of those who make sense, it's that simple. Go and find the recent discussion I had with Legend Killer about the TLC match on RAW. We were able to have a civil discussion and discovered where we agreed and disagreed with each other. I never felt the need to get abusive because he never once acted like a tool. If he'd said something moronic like, "stop being negative," or "this is my opinion so there," I probably would have "got abusive," because mongs do my head in. And for fuck's sake I'm never trying to "win" anything! I'm discussing things to their natural progression. If it wasn't for people like me on here we'd have lame debates that went something like, "I think this, you think that, let's agree to disagree m8, LMAO!" This would suck knob cheese.
Totally true mate, I have never had any problem with you on this forum and we have had difference of opinions on various matters, like TLC, Jericho's drawing power, Triple H etc, etc. You got my vote for poster of the year anyway. Its just a shame the cliq wouldnt nominate me for that award, I'd clearly run away with it. Its a huge conspiracy to hold the Triple H love down on the UKFF! :p
