  1. The Truth Commission were South African militants, they are most remembered for being led by The Jackyl (Cyrus in ECW), but had a leader before him who I think was called The Commander or something along those lines. The members were Kurrgan (Who would go on to be in The Oddities), Recon (Bull Buchanan, I think)... As you can probably tell my memory is a little hazy. I think there were two more members as well.

  2. Can anybody give me the dates of Bill Watts tenure in WCW and WWF? I know its 92/93 and late 95 but if anyone can be a little more exact that would be great.

WWF - Watts was brought in during the week running July 31 to August 6, but was not officially announced as head booker until the week of October 2 to 8. He was gone by the end of the following week, October 9 to 15.
  3. In Japan (At least for the bigger promotions) you live in a dojo and have to train every day, as well as doing general runner duties, i.e. cleaning other people's boots, doing errands, stuff like that. I imagine they have to help set up the ring for local shows and stuff as well. There is a class each year, although how the selection process for that works I don't know. In America, you turn up once a week, pay some cash, get stiffed and then told to come back next week with some more money.

  4. While he may have the... Worst... Mask... Ever... Falcon is undoubtedly one of the top twenty wrestlers that I've seen on the British scene. Great talent, great ability to work the crowd and can do a great mixture of straight wrestling and comedy stuff. Plus he has an uncanny ability to look scared shitlessly as Shamer throws him about, even while he wears a mask. I wasn't surprised SWA decided to let him run as the top champ, a lot of feds may have bulked at the idea of having such a small guy as their top champ, but Falcon is so awesome, I imagine it doesn't even factor into things.

  5. Well I've never seen Falcon or Wolfgang and have seen little of Majik and Simmonz this year, so I can't really comment on them.In my personal opinion, and I know most people disagree with me on this, Pac is the worst wrestler in the top 16. I agree that he has some cool moves but his excesivley flippy style dosn't appeal to me and I havn't enjoyed any match that I have ever seen of his. So obviously I think he should be fairly low in the list, but i know he has alot of fans so he'll probably wind up near the top.

I'm still surprised to see that people think PAC is just a flippy guy, I mean yeah, that is what got him noticed but he didn't suddenly become this huge breakout star on both sides of the Atlantic just because he can do a couple of flips, the guy can work, his detractors and people who haven't seen anything of him lately just seem to totally miss that point. PAC/Generico had a great series of matches, that were surely up there as some of the better matches put on anywhere in the UK last year and he's easily holding his own against other big indy names and not looking out of place. Unlike Storm and Moralez who looked woeful when they got their big shot. Also, while Falcon cracking the top five would be amazing, I think a more realistic top five would be his Pac, Williams, Burridge, Bubblegum and Martin Stone.
  6. Also, what's with the 'Swanley (boo)' references?

When IPW started running in Swanley, it quickly became commonplace for everyone at the Orpington shows to boo the name Swanley everytime it was mentioned. Swanley was a horrid venue, bad lighting, awful sound system, it seemingly sucked the life out of any match. The only positive about it is that it is big, which is also one of its problems as even with a big crowd in there it seems dead.Nice to see Jez finishing so high, her matches at CF9 were definetly the highlight of the show. Jez/Kong was so much better than the incredibly overrated Melissa/Wesna match.El Hijo Del Sanjay Bagga (>_>) finishing so high is good as well, I'm a fan of Jordan and his stuff in NBW has been a highlight of the shows I've been over to see.I think I've seen one Lionheart match (BHW teaming with... Someone) so I don't really have a solid opinion on him either way. That said, on that day he didn't look like a wrestler that would finish so high in this sort of thing.Keep up the good work, HG!I'd also like to point out I, in no way, was a part of getting G-Man drunk nor laughing at his actions at the aforementioned Syston show >_>
  7. Storm and Moralez also looked incredibly out of place at the Swanley (boo) match with the FWA and RoH guys, they had an absolute stinker of a night and looked a long way behind the other four guys in terms of talent and ability.

  8. Not using the picture of Manson tying Lantern up with wrist tape, boo-urns, Mr. Hat Guy, boo-urns. A couple of interesting entries in the last four, if I were listing them alone I'd goDave MoralezDarksideMadman MansonJay PhoenixBut that's me. Also, is Dave the smallest person ever to be given the nickname 'big' in a non-ironic way?

  9. Wait, is that list a list of all wrestlers that have died in the past twenty years or the past ten? Because Adonis and a few others are included but died outside of the time frame specified in the second line of the article.
