It was still nowhere near as hilarious or exciting as was made out now, or at the time. I remember watching it at the time thinking it was a bit lame and not that controversial to be driving a jeep around near an arena where another show was going on.

Yeah, it wasn't amazing - but my point was just that a lot of highlight clips could seem overhyped without the context of the times they happened in.

So what's with the massive NSA pop-up petition? I asked 2 days ago and the thread got closed. Asked again yesterday and it got deleted; no explanation either time.

Who's the dickhead mod who keeps doing this? It was only a simple question; I'm just curious, that's all - was just checking it wasn't a virus or the forum had been hacked, or if it was just my PC affected. Plus, UK people can't sign a US whitehouse petition - its for US residents only. Seems odd to be so defensive about it. Get off your power trip.

Anyone else have issues with the Austin Podcast continually flagging old podcasts as new? This morning, for example, it said there were 3 new eps - but they were months old. Happens nearly every time I update them.

Bob Holly's book was great. Was never really a fan, but I appreciated the role he played. Really enjoyed his book though.

And did anyone else think Mark Rocco came across as completely full of shit on Colt's Podcast? Nearly everything he said just sounded like lies.

He came across as a proper dinosaur, I thought. It was quite embarrassing some of the rubbish he was coming out with regarding wrestling today. If you believed Rocco, WWE is all about topless women, guns and explosions. It sounds like he's not watched a thing in years, which would be fine, but don't pass comment if you don't know what you're commenting on. Colt should have had the balls to challenge him a little more, but he never does that, he's too respectful if anything.

 

His stories about Japan were fun, though.

Add to that how delusional he was about the good ol' days too - he said that all US promotions were copying everything from British Wrestling and that the British guys invented everything including gimmicks, coming out to music, and even having TV shows! Madness - there were numerous awkward silences where he spouted some shite, Colt didn't want to agree, but was too polite to disagree - so they both just sat there in awkwardness.

I've only dipped my toes in so to speak, but listened to the HBK one and the Samoa Joe one (which i thought was ace) but which ones are worth it and which ones should I skip? I though Helms might be a good listen, actually, thought he'd at least have a bunch of stories.
