  1. Been told by my consultant that exercise will cure my ailments (stress mainly). I'm struggling to find time with work and a new addition to the family but know that I need to do something.

At this stage I'm ruling out running (I regularly experience gout - yay for Tudor diets) and live near too many of my students... Cycling is a no go for my inability to ride properly.

Any suggestions for exercises that can reduce stress whilst also being time efficient would be greatly appreciated.

More chocolate than biscuit! ... Why don't they just do away with the biscuit entirely?

    Family circle ftw.

I should say this is just the fish bites - couldn’t handle a full chippy tea and then go back to work!

Couldn't handle a full chippy tea but there's "bloody loads of them" ... I'm calling shenanigans.

Did I mention there’s a chip shop at work? Probably wouldn’t get a 10/10 from anyone in this thread but it is a ‘fish, sausage or pie’ kind of place. Also I get 30% off.

Thoroughly disappointing box and size. 10/10 for convenience though.

  5. People who scoff at your choice of milk. Now, I don't drink tea (shoot me) or milk but Mrs Wideload is one of those "Red milk is good for me and I've gotten used to the taste of it" so we have it in. The children consume vast quantities of blue milk and so that's the choice of white liquid on the house.

The amount of times people look aghast when you say "We don't have green milk in" irritates me. I get that people have preference but I refuse to pay out for green milk on the off chance of guests. This has only just started to annoy as we've had an abundance of guests who have come to fawn at the baby.

And another thing: people who badger you incessantly to see the baby, only to bugger off back into obscurity. Wish they wouldn't bother...

  6. People generally being polite when around town/in shops. Kindness costs nothing.

The second day of clean sheets/linen seems better than the first for me.

Butter thats spread to all corners of toast.

Reading a book in a quiet room. Bliss.

Seeing stories on the BBC News website such as "Prince Harry gets his beard rubbed". That is an actual story on the site today.

I originally followed BBC news on Twitter and quickly unfollowed after getting hot shite like this regularly regurgitated. It's just not news; more reason why the beeb has gone to shite.

  8. Another phone related one - people who tap your screen when looking at something to make sure it doesn't lock. I'm looking at you, man behind the counter in KFC...

Yes, it's very helpful and saves me having to unlock my phone but I just don't want people tapping my screen.

  9. I thought I would be more excited after hearing the news that Michaels is out of retirement but following the broken down attempt from all in Australia, I would rather they didn't. Nostalgia gets the best of me sometimes but in this instance, I'd rather they pack it in.

I also thought I would always want an Austin return but if these big money events have taught me it's that Austin is right not to return.

  10. Another one, people who insist on holding your phone when you show them a picture which they can totally see 12 inches from their face. They do not need to hold your phone to see the image and I want to slap hands of people who reach out to grab it. I am holding the phone for you to look at. It is not an invitation to hold my mobile telephone device.

(Disclaimer - this is the trivial things thread - I know people want a better view of the picture.)

How is "Regards," any better or worse than "Best"? It's short for best wishes, as you should well know.

Try not to burn anyone, mate.

    Best regards,

    Brew

Because you can use regards on its own but best doesn't work.

I thought this thread was the trivial things...

Oh I'm sorry I thought it was America.

Has anybody had a look at that Michael Palin in North Korea series on Channel 5? I've got it on my planner as it sounds interesting, but I can't say I'm massively experienced in the quality of Channel 5's documentaries.

It's bloody good. Granted, it's pro NK but it does provide a glimpse into the batshit despotic nation. It's a real coup for channel 5 too. Definitely worth a watch but if you are anything like me you'll be frustrated not to get a genuine look at the place.

  13. Last night I had doner meat and chip shop chips. My innards are drowning in grease and my saturated fat levels are off the charts. It tasted amazing and I am just sorry I didn't take a picture.

  14. Baby wideload born yesterday. Lady wideload had contractons for two hours then went to the toilet. Baby almost fell in.

It's a strange feeling and I still can't quite believe that I've got two children. Although this time around things seem to settle much quicker.

    No rest for the wicked.

  15. After being exposed to gifs from this match on Twitter by Mr Lariato, I decided to spend 20 minutes giving this a watch. I forgot how athletic and competent Davey boy was in the ring. Some amazing exchanges amongst a methodical style which features some interesting reversals. Any other Bulldog recommendations welcome.
