I loved the main event and have no real argument with the outcome. I felt they did the match a disservice with how many times they cut to show MIF in the crowd. The crowd I felt did something that you very rarely see. They watched the match. They were invested in it. It made for a strange atmosphere from the usual you get watching AEW.

I found Daddy Magic's accent and tone in promos absolutely irritating as fuck. He also still looks and built just odd. Reminds me of Ram Man from Masters of the Universe.

However after watching Dark Elevation with him on commmentary I found him far more palatable and dare I even say quite funny.

This show left me with a feeling of dread.

I'm a lapsed fan and an occasional toe dipper into the product. Being this was a 6pm start and not having BT Sport for the Milan derby I thought fuck it why not. I also had my nine year old watching while having tea and he stayed and watched the whole thing and loved it. He hated Sheamus / Gunther as it was just punch punch in his words. I actually throughly enjoyed that match and couldn't believe the weight loss on Gunther. His favourite was Rollins / Riddle which also was mine. I think the pace of that was tremendous and he loved the main event whereas I thought the main event was a good example of why I stopped watching. It felt plodding until the final stretch and even that felt a little of overuse on the finishers. The words I dreaded though were can we watch more... there's nothing really there of substance to bring me back to watching and not sure there ever could be anymore.

All I can think is Lashley may take it by putting up the US title vs Briefcase. But even that still puts them in a corner. Do you think the plan may have been to give MITB to Cody before his injury?

Well I think I have to be done with WWE's current product. Its the constant cuts and movements from the camera. I have been diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy and the poor buggers just can't keep up with it anymore. Had to watch it in three parts just to give them a break.

But my main gripe from the last event I watched has improved. The commentary was much better than Summerslam and Survivor Series.  Everything was just meh. Perfect lead up to Wrestlemehnia. Though the video for Brock and Bobby was fantastic and Reigns and Rollins was good and I didn't even mind the finish. But the rest. Jesus.

Not even sure the Rumble match from 99 was this bad. How far gone are you when you can't even pull a positive out of the Rumble match? And Happy Corbin?! Fuck me what bollocks.

I watched this in work yesterday morning and wondered whether work was dragging because its work or because I was watching Summerslam.

If there is one thing that sums up watching WWE for me is Nakamura not being on the card but appearing just so one twat in white with a headband can do some 80's rocker shit while another twat in white acts a complete tosser dancing on the announce table.

Maybe it's because I have been playing catch up and binge watching AEW but every match felt like it was at 2/3rds speed. But the biggest put off is the commentary. Its asinine.

Whoever it was on Radio 5 says it had a chance of being a game of cramp and nervous tension was spot on. Apart from the goals the streaker was probably the most interesting thing, it was that dire at times. Poor love looked knackered by the time she finished her run. 

Glad I'm away from work until Thursday. Liverpool is about to become very messy. Even more made up I got to jump around with my little fella for Salah's goal. Think he went more mental than me and ended up asleep in my arms by half time. So small mercies the game was shit. 

Fucking shame about Jose Reyes horrible thing to happen so young.

Yes. Have been there once before. Looe has probably the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Plus it was a decent little town to have a day in. 

Brixham for the fourth year running. With day trips out to Exeter, Looe and Dartmouth on the train and boat for the little guy. 

Should be better this year. No racist mother in law coming so every day out doesn't have to be stopped every hour for a cuppa. 

And many many trips to Rockfish (too poncey for the chippy thread) for Crispy Hake Bites with a Singapore Sauce, Spider Crab Cakes with lemon mayo and Fried Salt and Pepper Tiger Prawns with whatever local cider or ale they might have. Hoping to fit a fishing trip in this year as well while the family go to Torquay for the arcades.

Well that was an eventful day. 

From the missus having to go for a walk to calm down before she gave me a dig after Notts losing their league status and according to some of their fans their history and identity. To our game and the little fella crying  because Bobby Firmino wasn't playing to the end of that game, Salah hurt and then Divock Origi, it's been eventful in our household today. 

Even though I do dislike a number of Notts fans they haven't half been fucked over by Alan Hardy. I went to the first game after he took over against Mansfield and as well as there being free pies there was genuinely a lot of optimism with Kevin Nolan in charge. Even after Coventry well and truly outclassed them (and somewhere Keith has already got wind of the Cov praise) there was the thought that with some decent signings Notts could be in for a chance of promotion. 

After not giving Nolan enough time really after a poor league start and bringing in Harry Kewell for a disastrous short period to now. Being sent down by loose former player and occasional loony Sol Campbell, who fair play to him did an amazing job with Macclesfield.

The oldest league club gone with a whimper leaving Stoke and Forest squabbling over who the oldest Football League club is and all because of a egotistical chairman who likes to tweet pictures of his cock and who may still end up owning the club because even though he wants to sell it seems he is being all Mike Ashley over it.

Very accurate but he's now more like the 2019 version of Disco Inferno. 

He was one of the things that put me off giving it another chance.

His obnoxious character and fucking god awful catchphrases made me turn off before even seeing him in the ring. Reading people on Twitter have the same enthusiastic response to Killer Kross that they had for Drake main eventing makes me wonder. 

Now if only Josh Matthews can get shitcanned I may well give it a chance, because the things I am not entirely enthusiastic about (Rosemary, Sami Callahan and Eddie Edwards) certainly didn't put me off as much as Matthews and Drake. 

Was going through the 1990 NWA/WCW roster for something from the wrestling misremembered thread and came across some interesting names and gimmicks I don't seem to remember coming across. 

Such as:

"Secret Service" Jack Victory which went to Jacko Victory later in the year. 

"The World's Strongest Man" Doug Furnas. 

"The Minotaur" Steve DiSalvo. 

So within a year they had two World's Strongest Man as Bill Kazmeier came in. Plus I'm really hoping Steve DiSalvo was an early Mantaur. With WCW's production values could be a complete train wreck.
