  1. How many more husbands do windoesnot and myself have to bully to get crew promotions around here? Troika19 and fmburchillfan too.

Has anyone gotten past the online mission yet where you need to take out police cars, then a riot can and then police motorbikes all in 2 minutes......ridiculously hard. I think that one's going to take some serious planning to have guys set up at different points, probably with need of a headset. Me and some guy had about 6 shots at it today.

  2. Yeah. Both my xbox and myself are broke. So I'm slumming it up on ps3 for now. Enjoying online so far though, just had a fantastic dune buggy vs motorbike race across the desert.

  3. Yeah in the good old days the big games would come out on a Friday, but if you'd pre-ordered from Play / Amazon you'd sometimes get lucky and get it on the Wednesday or Thursday before release date.

I've been frantically searching my house for my copy of San Andreas, I completed it before but never 100%'d it. I mean to put this right to keep me occupied until GTA5.

  4. A lack of something worth spending money on has always been a problem in GTA; let's hope what they've said with regards to recognising and fixing this is true.

I always loved buying up businesses and real estate in Vice City, the lack of that aspect has been missing since, although this 'buying expensive toys' comment is interesting, perhaps each character has their own house which you can customize and buy stuff for.

Also, the confirmation of both Mount Chiliad and BMX's frankly scares the crap out of me. Did you shit on these niggaz two times Dr. Hauser?

  5. I've successfully avoided all his music and ever seeing him on telly and I haven't even really been trying that hard to do so.

Exactly, for someone on the level of fame that he is you'd think his music, or at least one or two of his songs, would have really broken into popular culture in a huge way. With other currently megastar status pop acts like for example Lady Gaga, Rihanna or even One Direction they have songs that anyone from 5 to 80 would have heard at some point. Bieber fandom seems to live in a bubble that doesn't quite break into social consciousness.
  6. Bieber is still a strange anomaly to me, like a practical joke that the entire world is playing on me. I'm constantly told he's one of the most famous people in the world, there's merch everywhere and Twitter is basically a Justin Bieber forum that allows other discussion occasionally. Yet I'm pretty sure I'm yet to hear one of his songs, or see him in an interview or on TV at all in fact.

  7. Been watching Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy on Netflix over the last few days.

While Breaking Bad is good, it doesnt seem to have the grab that Sons of Anarchy does. I intend to just watch one episode of SOA but end up still sat there with it on 3 hours later.

Definitely, definitely stick with Breaking Bad. I'm coming towards the end of season 3 now and it's really stepped up a level, nearly into the same league as The Sopranos for me. I agree though that as great as it is, it doesn't have that same "must watch one more episode" feeling of something like 24.

  8. This is good to see about Killing Me Softly. I'm going to see it tomorrow night.

Also, has anyone heard about / tried the Cineworld Unlimited card exploit? I've heard that it can be used in conjunction with the Orange Wednesday offer, meaning someone with an Unlimited Card who is also on Orange can get a friend in for free. Going to try it tomorrow so I'll let you know if it works.

  9. Fuck off.

Going to give Parks And Recreation a go today. Last time I tried a new Yank comedy it was It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and it was shit, so this had better be good or I'm going back to Porridge and Cheers.

You should probably watch a good show instead, be it American or British.

Fucking hell! This is why I can't be arsed starting a new TV show, because I think I've picked one that is supposed to be great and then a dissenting voice that I more or less trust comes and tells me not to watch that.

EDIT - Fuck it, going with another Butch recommendation and starting Trailer Park Boys.

You were right the first time Gladders, go watch Parks and Rec, it's brilliant. Probably my favourite post Arrested Development comedy, the cast is so likeable. And Ron Swanson is probably the best sitcom character of any recent show.

Also, how good is this series of The Thick of It so far? "What the fuck do you think this is? Tinker, tailer, soldier cunt?" is quite an incredible line.

  10. Without the luxury of elder brothers or sisters, my musical taste was left to fend for itself. Luckily Britpop came and sorted me out from '95 onwards. But my first single and first albums were

Album: PJ and Duncan - Psyche

Single: 2 Unlimited - Tribal Dance

  11. Is anyone else playing Rock Band Blitz? Came out a couple of days ago on PSN and Live Arcade.

Loving it so far, it's nice to have that music game feeling without having to set up any of the instruments and stuff. Plus all the downloaded songs from the other Rock Band games are playable right from the off.

It'll be better when I have a few friends playing it too as it's primarily a high-score driven game. So come on fuckers, go download it and lets Score War
