  1. Saw Sinister 2. Haven't seen the first but went along with friends. Its your typical horror film but one of the better ones I have seen recently. Very graphic and creepy in places too.

Saw that myself. The first one is the most bone chilling horror movie I've ever seen. Truly horrible. Fantastic film though. The second is in the same vein but falls considerably short. The storyline is a bit pants and the child actors (apart from the twins) are extremely annoying. Fairly decent for a sequel though and I jumped out of my seat a couple of times in the cinema.

Seriously recommend the first one though. It's probably the best horror film I've seen for a long time.

  2. Just listened to the new Ghost album, Meliora.

Oh.my.word. Bloodstock need to book these in a big spot ASAP, an absolute triumph of an album.

For anyone going to see them at Leeds/Reading next week, don't miss them. The new stuff is really going to add to the live show, particularly 'Absolution'.

I can't wait for them to come back and tour here, it's going to be phenomenal. Again, a fantastic piece of work

Going to listen to that tomorrow. Cannot wait to see them at Reading next Saturday. I'm a big fan, but haven't had the chance to see them yet.

  3. How does everyone go about watching TV stuff? Do you select a random month/year etc and try following it? Or do you just cherry pick random episodes.

I spend most of my time on the network scrolling the menu's, the amount to content hurts my head.

I really struggle to be honest. I've decided to go for it though and try and watch every PPV from 1989, both WWE and WCW. I've managed a grand total of one event so far so I've got a hell of a journey ahead of me.

With TV I've been watching the Nitros in order.

  4. Ah Bellers, no no no, please no! Sad face. Pixar are a wonderful mob for the most part. Besides Cars 2, Brave and Wall-E, I find their films to be wonderfully heartwarming and enlighting.

Toy Story 3 is my favourite of all the Toy Story flicks though. Spanish Buzz is an absolute hero, and I had a fierce lump in my throat come the end when you thought the jig was up for them all.

Have to agree with Sam there also. Phenomenal performance by wee Cube! Here, I keep shiting on about it, but are you still thinking of the No Vaseline bit like I am?

Going to see it again as a paying customer the day it's released, by fuck!

Absolutely mate. That was one of the best scenes I've seen in a movie for quite some time. Went away and downloaded the song and Cube's album afterwards. I do wonder if we will see any of those actors in many major roles in the future. I was thoroughly impressed with them.

  5. Genuinely loved Straight Outta Compton. I was so worried it was going to be shit despite looking good in the trailers and I'm happy it was great. Ice Cube's son was the star of the movie for me, absolutely gigantic performance from him. They were all great though. Can't wait to watch it back when it's out on DVD.

Inside Out was pretty special for a kiddies film too. I thought it was fantastic and very cleverly done. Highly recommend it if you've got some kiddies or if you're a sucker for those sort of films.

  6. Nah, I don't think you're meant to empathise with her at all. Tony points it out quite a few times that she knows exactly where the money comes from and how many people go in the ground so that she can live the life of luxury. She's also pretty aware that Tony has his "gumars" but never puts up much of a fight about it. She loves being the wife of the boss, it's just not meant to be blatantly obvious.

The only guy I ever felt any sympathy for was Bobby Bacala, always seemed like the good guy who ran with the wrong crowd just so he could put food on his kids' plate.

Totally agree. I feel no sympathy for Carmella either.

Bobby seems a good guy. I like Silvio a lot too. He seems more like the voice of reason despite being ruthless when needed.

It's just a wonderful selection of psychopathic characters though.

  7. The thing is I (and I assume most people) are screaming at the TV, "Melfi, just tell Tony and his guys will fuck him up!" And then you catch yourself and realise you're advocating some bad vigilante stuff. Supremely clever.

Haha yep! I really thought she was going to as well. It's an ace TV show. Can't believe I left it this long to start watching it.

  8. Onto the fifth season of the Sopranos now. I can't stop watching it haha. Any free time I have to myself I'll stick an episode on and then it'll be "oh just one more" until I have been sat there for a few hours.

It's a fantastic show and sure to be up there with one of my all time favourites when I'm done with it. What I was wondering though is did any one else find it difficult to empathise with any of the characters? I mean I like all of the characters, they're great but I find it very difficult to be sympathetic towards their problems. Maybe I'm not supposed to be as most of them are ruthless, but even those who aren't I'm struggling to feel bad for.

    Amazing show though.

  9. Does anyone else do a thing where they start seeing someone, then kind of freak out about it, wobble between liking them and not liking them, keeping them at arms length while not totally pushing them away, before the girl finally deciding she's had enough to then only suddenly feel like you've blown it and decide that you do in-fact really like them?

I've done this pattern for the last few years and I'm finding it to be very disturbing. I don't like it at all.

I did that quite a bit before going to Uni a few years back. I'd just come out of a 3 year relationship and wasn't over it so was playing the field a bit and talking to a few girls and leading them on basically to the point they'd want a relationship then I'd back out and they'd get sick of it and find someone else. Then I'd regret it.

Luckily, I didn't do that with my fiancée. She's a diamond.

  10. Thanks, watched Heatwave 98 last night, very impressed, forgot how mad ecw was!

    It's a good show isn't it?

As for WCW a surprisingly decent show is a Spring Stampede 1999. I'm a sucker for WCW though so I find enjoyment in most of their shows, so maybe just watching a random WCW PPV you may see something you like. A lot of the time the wrestling is pretty good, just some of the storylines are completely unexplainable. WCW Halloween Havoc 1998 had the potential to be one of their best shows ever but turned out to be a massive disappointment, a double main event of Ultimate Warrior against Hogan and Sting versus Bret Hart should have been great but in typical WCW fashion it really wasn't.

Have a look around, you may stumble across something you like. As for ECW it's worth checking out Anarchy Rulz '99 next. That's a really good show.

  11. Can you still get a download of Extreme Warfare Revenge (EWR), and if so can you get it with a more recent roster or am I going to transported back to 2003 lineups

    http://www.ewwarehouse.info/mod-index/ew-mod-index/

This is where you want to go mate. Download EWR 4.2. That'll have a roster of 2002 I think but then you can go to the scenarios section of that website I linked you too and you can download pretty much any year you want. Then just copy those files and replace the files in the DATA folder. Job's a good one.
