  1. York Hall - the early days of UKFF is where I first learned of FWA and my first show their was Frontiers of Honour. Even when the boxing is on Sky Sports in there I think of here and FWA. Did a few bus trips down there with UKFFers afterwards too.

Coventry Skydome - TWC International Showdown coming to my hometown blew my mind back then. Will always remember my younger brothers utter confusion as to why heel Alex Shane was asking everyone if they had a nice time on the way out.

The city of Norwich - forget Jeremy Goss  Delia Smith and Colmans Mustard. Norwich will forever by synonomous with the Knight family and their various antics which have littered the UKFF over the years.

Whichever nightclub/hotel the guy posted in off topic about years ago where he boasted about taking advantage of a black out drunken work colleague on a night out and having sex with her before fucking off whilst believing what he had done was a jack the lad story and not a full blown rape.

Ive always hoped for the girls sake it was all a stupid made up internet story but regardless that one post is the craziest thing this forum has ever seen.

The locker room where I believe half the roster of (I think) Chikara beat the shit out of Jay Phoenix/James Wallace/Jim Brown back whrm he was just a thief and not a convicted sex offender.

  2. One of the things that struck me about the womens Rumble was some of the comments from the commentary team.

As others have said it did feel as for large periods as though the notion was just to get through of it but there was a chance to really give a spotlight to some of the women from NXT however there were comments such as "we could really do with someone from NXT to tell us more about who these women are" and "hey do you think Booker T knows who Indi Hartwell is?". It was absolutely baffling.

Is that the second year in a row that Kofi had bollocksed his big Rumble spot? Him and Woods coming our early and close to each other had me convinced that Big E was coming back and then very disappointed when he wasn't.

Bray Wyatt sponsored by Mtn Dew utterly ridiculous.

The two rumble winners were the right winners and I really hope after all this great work they dont ruin however they end things with Sami/The Bloodline.

  3. You can go through the checkout and not pay then it'll give you the price for shipping mate. From memory I'm sure it is around $10 each figure. Sadly it seems to just multiply per figure even though I'm confident the cost to send for example 4 instead of 3 wouldn't be any higher.

    Ooooh the Dick Mabbutt.

As I read the post in my head I couldn't help bur hear this in Kenneth Williams' voice.

On the fox topic, Glasgow is crawling with them throughout all the urban area's. Our last house was beside a wooded area and one night as I was heading to bed I saw two little fox cubs playing chase with each other around the cul de sac like little kittens would under the watchful eye of their Mum.

The foxes here are probably the only thing that stops the entire city being overrun by rats. Not sure whether they don't raid the bins as they're too full of rat meat to be interested.

I was always told the screeching was the foxes shagging.

  5. Only saw Jay live once at an ROH/NJPW show in Edinburgh in 2017. The think that really stuck out to me about him was that he just had this aura around him of seeming like a star.

There's loads of people in wrestling who are great performers but you can't learn or teach that aura and even though I wasn't particularly a fan I always remembered him having that aura around him that I feel very few have.

  6. Carrying on the AliExpress chat, last year for my son's advent calendar I bought 24 of the Star Wars "Lego" minifigures and filled one of the empty hanging calendars with them.

They were brilliant quality, exactly the same as the legit ones and were about 60p each.

Shudder to think about how much some people have spent for "rare" one's on eBay when identical replica's are available for next to nothing.

It's full of great stuff for pennies.

  7. AliExpress.

My son watches something called WSC on YouTube where they do stop motion matches with wrestling figures...it's actually very well done.

Around Halloween they introduced several horror franchise figures into the mix and although my son's far too young for the films he just thinks of them as spooky characters like Bray Wyatt or The Undertaker.

He wanted to spend some of his Christmas money getting a couple of the NECA figures but they are £35-40 EACH.

A quick scan of AliExpress and they were on there for £15 each, in the presentation boxes, with all the accessories...and they were delivered in around 10 days.

Apologies to Chest for the football post, but it really is such an interesting ground. I live close to it and I love how it’s one of the few big stadiums left surrounded by terraced streets. Sure it’s dilapidated in places and needs serious investment but it would be a real shame if they went for a brand new stadium. I love the contrast of an iconic ground and team located in amongst normal streets.

God I miss Highfield Road. 😪

  9. One of my best mates growing up became very invested in a theory that the freemasons was basically a front for satanism and had sent me quite a lot of stuff whereby rituals, ceremonies, initiations and wordings of things known about both were near identical.

There was a lot that certainly seemed to be quite detailed in their similarties for it to be purely coincidental.

A lot of the idea was that those at the very top were the ones with knowledge of what it was really about and a global network of secret socieities allowed them to go about their business under the radar.

Those at the lower levels majoritively had no idea about what was going on at the top and that also helped with hiding in plain sight.

There were a lot of links and endorsements of freemasonry from people such as Anton LaVey and Aleister Crowley too.

  10. I think some people may actually be underestimating the effects a sale to Saudi ownership *could* have on WWE as a business.

Depending on how much influence they would have then things like the women's revolution are possibly done for and when the majority of them can go and do Only Fans pages less revealing than the old Divas DVD's for more money then they're making in WWE then fucking off to do that and wrestling for AEW or others just for fun could obliterate their division.

In a world where things have never been more diverse and inclusive you can forget ever having an openly gay or bisexual wrestler at the company again. Those who aren't openly out or have close friends who are gay or bisexual which I'd imagine to be a large percentage may decide fuck this I'm off, especially the more established stars who have potential to earn elsewhere and don't "need" to be there.

I think roster wise as well WWE has arguably never been less populated by wrong uns with no conscience. Between opportunities to earn elsewhere through their social media channels etc and AEW could we potentially see a mass exodus?

Mansoor is probably over the moon at the prospect of goodbye Maximum Male Models - hello Super Mansoor.

Cena & The Rock, arguably their two biggest names who may pop in for the occasional appearances likely wont want to be anywhere near involved again.

Sami Zayn is surely gone, I can't see Owens sticking around either.

I think WWE has never had less casual fans either, even at the last two UK house shows I've been to in Newcastle and Glasgow they were 65% full AT BEST for shows usually you'd struggle to get a ticket for at all.

I think the hardcore fans have probably never been more aware and consciencious (sp) and Tony Khan must be rubbing his hands together right now.

From WWE looking to be on a massive upward trajectory with HHH at the helm and AEW looking to be on a rapid decline to a full 180 inside about 5 days. Crazy.

I wonder if HHH had the desire or financial backing to ever try and go into a seperate business for himself, or even team up with Khan.

HHH seems to still have very close relationships with The Rock, Austin and obviously Shawn Michaels. Hypothetically just imagine the impact their involvement with a company other than WWE *could* have.

The easy answer is that this is all bollocks. The idea that Pyramids are aligned with anything astrological doesn't really hold up to scrutiny - Bauval's theory that the pyramids of Giza line up to Orion's Belt relies on ignoring the pyramids in that area that don't fit the pattern, for example.

In terms of similarity, there's not much, nor is it a case of multiple civilisations all stumbling on the idea of pyramids at the same time. The earliest estimate for the age of the Pyramid at Chichen Itza is the 8th Century AD, with some as late as the 12th Century, while the Great Pyramid of Giza was built in around 2500 BC. There's literally thousands of years separating them - frankly, it would be more surprising if multiple civilisations hadn't come up with Pyramids during that time.

Not only that, but architecturally they're really nothing alike beyond the broad pyramid shape, nor do they serve the same purpose. They're both Pyramid-shaped, because a Pyramid is basically a mound. It's the most naturally occurring shape for a man-made structure to be, and the most effective way of building tall buildings with no external scaffolding.

Thanks for the logic and factual information Pat but you've ruined my Tuesday. Haha

I'd read before that regarding the pyramids of giza, several geologists had placed them as being significantly older than widely reported and there was also mystique over how cleanly and accurately cut the stones were due to disrepancies with the tools used and available at the time being capable of doing so.

Also a theory that fhe Sphinx used to have different heads which had eroded and new ones carved.

Can you dispel these for me as well? 🙂

Also, if you have the time...is my father coming back with the milk? It's just that you're making me question a lot of the imformation I've been told over the years now and on reflection, 27 years seems a long time to walk to the shop and back.

  12. Years ago I worked with someone who had wild yet intriguing theory on the bible, evolution and the missing link.

His theory was that essentially many of the events contained in the bible were real events which were unable to be comprehended by the people at the time and miscontrued as miracles/divinity.

He believed that with the story of Adam and Eve instead of God placing them on earth it was an alien species who placed males and females on earth to see whether it was habitable for their species.

The "forbidden fruit" God told them not to eat was a metaphor for not having sex with other life forms already existing on the planet (primates).

The snake who tells Adam to eat the forbidden fruit was their dicks telling them to shag away.

God leaving them on earth as punishment was the other species punishing them by not taking them home after breaking the rules.

The by-product of the alien/primate romps were humans.

He believed Jesus was not the son of God but perhaps one of the offspring from these romps who had been put back onto earth and that many of the "miracles" were just things that couldn't be explained at the time because "Jesus" was more technologically advanced/educated/knowledgeable than they had ever seen or could comprehend.

Giving someone glasses is technically making a blind man see.

Feeding the 5000 could be teaching different more efficient and prosperous techniques of fishing and baking.

Water into wine is how all wine is made.

When one of the disciples cuts off the soldiers ear and Jesus touches it and its back on that was medical techniques they'd never seen before.

He believed that modern day UFO sightings/crashes were them coming back to see how things had progressed and also that aliens were responsible for the majority of huge technological leaps throughout time.

I've always been facinated by the pyramids of similar size, shape and measurements spanning numerous diffent continents that aren't believed to have any means of communicating with each other and their astrological ties.

  13. Had a chippy last night as a birthday treat and decided I may as well go all out and went for a scottish delicacy known as a "pizza crunch".

A 9" pizza dipped in batter then deep fried.

Usually at McMonagles where we went yesterday they make the pizza from scratch before doing so, so we don't mind paying the little bit extra than other local chippy's.

Disappointingly yesterday they had just used a 9" margherita frozen style pizza. No warning or notice that after 16 plus years of going there it had changed.

    Not the same at all.

    Two words.

    Wont be back.

I saw Soft Cell at the O2 a few years ago and stayed at the Raddison over the river and in the morning we sat down eating the buffet breakfast for about ten minutes before staff came over to tell us it wasnt complimentary,  it was going to be 40 bullets each. The way the guy looked at us when we found out is one of those things you just never forget but since it was our fault we obviously paid it and very quickly and politely left.

Please don't get stung with 80 quid breakfast, be aware.

At 40 quid a head they could forget me quickly and politely leaving. I'd still be there eating it today.

  15. Considered booking flights and hotel to take my son down from Glasgow for this but on top of extortionate London hotel prices I think its extremely unlikely we would get tickets.

Clash At The Castle may have had trouble shifting tickets but Cardiff is nowhere near as easy as London is for people to get to.

On top of that 02 in London is 15-17,000 isn't it? Principality stadium has 4 times the number of tickets available.

If only the people who actually wanted to go bought tickets then 15k would sell out inside the first 10 minutes.

Factor in the number of scalpers and even the main ticket sellers taking a % to re-sell at increased prices via their own platforms and this will be a nightmare sadly.

I wonder whether there's any scope to try and move it to Wembley if the demand is big enough because I think they could sell it out comfortably.

  16. Even the Smyth's website doesn't carry the full Elite or basic line up's ahead of release. They don't even show as sold out so I don't think it's solely down to scalpers.

Another option for larger orders is to wait until Ringside Collectibles have their crazy sales because even with paying their insane shipping prices it works out less than online from the UK which is wild.

I got my son 5 Elite's before Christmas in their sale which would have cost £125 total from A1...the only place here that physically stocked them, then also Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricky Starks AEW which I've never seen available in the UK online or in store.

Including shipping it was £108 for the 7 figures which I felt was beyond reasonable.

  17. The lack of availability/delay of release for wrestling figures in physical stores is brutal recently.

I live in Glasgow which is a big city. I have 3 large Smyths stores within 30 minutes of my house and 2 of The Entertainer as well.

The Entertainer have largely had the same 10 figures in their stores for the last 18 months.

Smyths have developed a new trend of only seeming to stock half of each series for the last 2 or 3 elite series.

My son is absolutely wrestling daft and whilst I can order online no problem its nowhere near as enjoyable as taking him into the shops "for a look" then seeing his face light up with joy and excitement when I say he can pick one.

A1 Toys/Comics (not sure if they're Glasgow only) have a better selection but they're all 25% more expensive than anywhere else.

They also seperate the standard "chase" variants of Elite's and sell them for inflated prices in the shop as well which I think is piss poor.

  18. Talk is that Juranovic didn't start as he and a few others had been ill in the days leading upto the game.

Not starting Abada who's given Barisic nightmares every time they've faced each other was a mistake but I also think Postecoglou had to go with Forrest to offer Johnston a bit of extra help on the right so he wasn't hung out to dry on his debut.

Celtic were comfortable first half I felt without playing well and Rangers didn't seem to show up.

Taylor telling Morelos "shut yer hole fat boy" and Morelos waddling over to the ref to cry about it is peak banter years.

Morelos missed two absolute sitters of headers from corners in the first half. He is easily 2 stone overweight.

Bizarre situation with him as Rangers either need to pay through the nose for a new and improved deal to keep him when the guy has an awful temperament, hasn't been setting the world alight and seems to have no respect for the club or managers with the shape he keeps himself in else you wonder who takes him on in current form and condition if he leaves on a free.

Felt Postecoglou should have made changes at half time but he didn't and Celtic came out half asleep. Lazy defending gifted Kent the opportunity for the first and a moment of madness from Starfelt gifted the penalty.

3 keepers wouldn't have saved that from Tavernier.

The penalty not being given against Goldson was baffling. I don't think there's a conspiracy that's pro Rangers or anti Celtic, I just think ref's make decisions that are less likely to cause them grief as opposed to the right ones.

Celtic as a club rarely if ever come out and publicly question these decisions, Rangers do and refs end up away doing Annan and Stenhousemuir games for a few weeks.

Mooy was great when he came on and dropping Hatate despite his aptitude at filling in as right back last couple of games to start him would probably have been the right move.

Tough to see Rangers mounting a significant challenge from here without a meltdown from Celtic and I felt even Beale post match didn't believe it.

It'll be an interesting january to see what Rangers/Beale can do with a squad that looks in desperate need of a freshen up despite having spent £16m in the summer.

Celtic were probably a 4 out of 10 and still took a point which they were at least fully deserving of.
