If anyone deserved a second chance, surely a girl with the best body hes ever seen would be it! Cant believe he decided against it, considering there was a pretty logical reason behind the smell.

I think her reaction was more the reason for refusal of a second chance rather than her odour.

It's definitely worth noting that he's now married to a former Miss Scotland runner up, so he was never exactly short of offers/opportunities.

  2. Not my experience but after reading through the thread tonight I believe its a story that would be appropriate to share here.

A friend of mine went through a spell of using tinder when it first became popular prior to meeting his wife and on one evening had finished work, gotten home about 10pm and decided to have a scroll through.

Within minutes of doing so he matched with a woman and began messaging back and forward with her where they discovered that she was infact working in a restaurant/bar which was literally across the street from his flat as they were messaging.

She explained that she was due to finish about 11pm or so and that she would come over straight after before also making it very clear to my friend (who is a very good looking guy) that she wasn't coming over to get to know his personality.

So my friend popped in for a shower, put fresh sheets onto his bed and got out a bottle of wine hoping that he wasn't going to be catfished.

On schedule the buzzer to his flat goes and once he opens the door standing there is this gorgeous woman, even more attractive than he had believed her to be from her pictures.

She comes in and they began chatting over a glass of wine where she quickly tells him she wants to move things to the bedroom, they begin kissing before going through to his bedroom where she then kicks off her ankle boots as they lay down and continue kissing.

At this point he becomes aware of a very strong unpleasant smell however can't quite identify or locate it however its so off putting that he can't even focus on kissing the very attractive woman.

As they manouvre themselves further on his bed he realises that (as he describes in his Glawegian accent) "her hooves are absolutely barking". Not only that but somehow both of their heads are now where her bare feet had been on his bed and the smell is even more prominent.

She begins to unzip his jeans as they continue kissing to which, upon realising he has absolutely no hope of achieving an erection, he pulls away anxiously and despite having been for one shortly previously say's he is going to go for a shower...and asks whether she would like to join.

She refuses but says seductively that she will wait for him and not to be too long. He proceeds to go into his bathroom and turn on the shower whilst he sits on the lid of his toilet weighing up his options.

After 5 minutes or so he goes back into his bedroom to what he describes as the best body he had ever seen laying naked on top of his duvet..."entertaining herself" and beckoning him over.

To sell the shower gimmick he has came back in wearing only a towel and as he tries to get back into things he becomes aware of another very strong smell of unwashed vagina.

He tries to "soldier on" as he puts it however is so put off my the various unappealing aroma's that he is fully incapable of achieving an erection.

Not wanting to embaress her, he decides to jump up off of the bed and "answer his phone"  - which wasn't ringing - where he proceeds to have an entirely impromtu, imaginary conversation with his brother before then explaining to her that his sister in law has wrongfully accused his brother of cheating on her and thrown him out of their house at this late hour and he is on his way, distraught, to my friends flat.

The girl begins to explain that she is happy to stay, doesn't have work the following day anyway and is even willing to help console my friends brother because the situation sounds terrible.

My friend thanks her for her kind offer but explains that he thinks its probably best she heads home and they can pick things up another day to which she remains insistent that she will stay and will even just watch TV in his room whilst he's speaking with his brother if that would be less awkward.

Realising that his brother isn't coming and he is somewhat backed into a corner, my friend decides rather than doubling down with more lies to come clean, admit that he made that all up and confront her on the affronting odours to which she begins shouting and screaming angrily at him as she gets half dressed and leaves whilst also calling him a number of homophobic slurs.

She then continues to do this as she is walking along the road away from his flat, stopping every 10 metres or so to turn and scream said slurs towards his living room window at the top of her lungs as the occasional passer by stops and looks up to his flat also.

My friend then strips his freshly changed sheets from the bed due to the still present residual smells however becomes aware that the smell has now infiltrated the duvet itself somehow as well as one of his pillows, resulting in a 1am trip to the 24/7 ASDA in search of replacements.

He did get a message apologising the following day and asking whether he wanted to meet again however he decided against it.

Putting Sammy and Tay against Paige VanZant and whoever her partner is, isn't going to work. Sammy and Tay are incredibly unlikeable as an on-screen couple, and it's only a matter of time before the fans turn on them. Having said that, I think they could be a tremendous heel pairing.

They seem to have been taking quite the hammering over social media the past few weeks as well and Conti had even interacted with Brandi saying they seemed to have taken over from her and Cody. The irony is that the whole dislike for Cody/Brandi was them (particularly Brandi) constantly acting like heels then moaning people didn't like them  which in itself is the most natural heel behaviour going.

On screen Tay & Sammy come across as two smug people who absolutely love themselves and think the entire world revolves around them.

Off screen they don't seem much different and also spend half their time moaning about wanting privacy and the other half flaunting the intimacies of their private life over every aspect of social media.

I'm 100% behind the notion of respecting peoples privacy but you can't propose to your partner of 8 years or so on national TV, possibly whilst already shagging a co-worker posing as a close friend behind their back then start flaunting your new relationship all over social media and the same TV show 4 months later without accepting that some people are going to think you're a twat and they're entitled to.

A heel turn is getting close to becoming essential as I'm failing to seeing anything likeable about either and I think most would struggle to feel sympathetic with them regardless of any heel actions.

  4. I like that though. I always remember hearing a story about Randy Savage at an appearance or signing and he was apparently in full regalia and full performance the entire time. Someone had allegedly asked him doesn't he mind having to do that and he said nobody was there to see Randy Poffo they were there to see The Macho Man.

  5. Glad to see it isn't only me who isn't seeing it with Keith Lee so far. I think he's one of those guys a bit like Ty Dillinger/Shawn Spears was where when they don't get the big push in WWE its popular to blame WWE and as they have dropped the ball with a number of guys previously that's fair game. Sometimes however maybe they're rightfully not pushed.

Lee looks like a horribly out of shape, old man and he's only 37. He looks 10 years older.

I appreciate what people have said about him having Covid and the possible impact that may have had but generally weight loss and loss of appetite is a very common symptom, as it was with me. I really haven't seen anywhere about significant weight gain.

Lee looks like he has been piling the beef on and as others have said he is blowing out of his arse just walking to the ring.

He doesn't impress me in any aspect I'm afraid as he has all the charisma of an empty packet of crisps. Him doing the finger conducting every match as the chants of "ohhh bask in his glory" get lesser and lesser every week is already stale as well.

The only times he looks anywhere near impressive is down to others throwing themselves around and bumping like crazy for him.

The best thing he's done in AEW is get spinebusted by Powerhouse Hobbs.

  6. I find stats like that crazy because Michael Hayes at the time to me looked like a really old man and when he was dressed in the same gear as them I thought it looked ridiculous.

Ziggler and Miz are 41 now.

Guys back then just seemed to look/seem a lot older a lot sooner in my opinion.

I thought Rick Rude looked and seemed like a much older guy when he was with DX...he was 40 when he died.

An enjoyable show again this week and for me something that I love is I feel like every segment of the show is always developing something or leading to something down the line. It's a very basic and simple premise of a wrestling show but one I feel is often very lacking in WWE.

  7. It's punishable by a fine in Glasgow and many other areas of Scotland. A quick google search shows in England places with something called a PSPO prohibits it. No idea what the situation was in early 2000's West Midlands but I have no reason to doubt him.

  8. Came to this thread for some inspiration as I usually give up meat for lent and previous years have just consisted of me eating different meals to the rest of the family however this year my aim was to try and make the same meals just meat free alternatives.

Last night was my first time trying quorn mince which I made a chilli with. Not sure whether I did something wrong but it was awful?

ACAB obviously but as an adult you have to admire the S tier shithousery of our local pigs who would gleefully pour your booze away in front of you if they caught you drinking.

On one of the "pre match" Friday's we were walking down to the train station in Balsall Common where our well off mate lived and parents had a big house.

The local copper appeared out of nowhere and collared me for drinking my screw cap bottle of wine on the walk down.

He asked my age and gave a smirk as I rattled it off making sure I was *just* 18, asked if I was with the other lads who had hurriedly fucked off towards the train station then screwed the cap back onto the bottle, gave it me back and said to make sure I didn't drink it in the street as it would incur a fine.

Wished me a good night, told me to keep myself safe and then pointed to a bus stop down the road and told me for what it was worth...he wouldn't be able to see whether or not I was drinking the wine again once I got past it.

    Not ACAB.

In Tile Hill? I've bought some out of date booze from there not that long ago actually... some bottles of Indian mango cider I'd never seen anywhere else and it luckily didn't kill me.

That's the place mate, I grew up on Westcotes.

  11. As a teen from around 15 we would chance our arm at The Coliseum, or "the colly" to those in Cov.

Friday nights were always the younger crowd, the bouncers were clearly aware 90% of us were under age. Also *allegedly* several of the bouncers were "in relationships" with secondary shool age girls.

Prior to getting the train into town and hiding in the toilets to avoid buying a ticket we would meet up at one of our mates house generally 6-8 of us for "pre match" drinks.

My mates would generally be on cans of Carling or at the time the big bottles of Red Square were all the rage. Their parents would make sure and give them a bung to enjoy themselves with and cover their night.

I however was poor and didn't have any money of my own so the best I could manage was sneaking a £3 bottle of red wine out the house hoping my Dad was too pissed to keep track of what he had and hadn't drank. Top that off by syphoning out some absinthe and cheap whiskey into empty miniature bottles and hope that if they were correctly spaced out I could ride the wave of drunkenness throughout the night without collapsing into a drunken heap or needing to buy an actual drink.

On one occasion I did treat myself to a 24 bottle case of out of date Reef from "Malcolm's" which seemed a bargain for a fiver. Not so much on the way back out.

  12. Another really great show overall.

The timing and flow of things is brilliant in my opinion too. The show starts off with Jericho, a new faction and a big angle, social media will have been trending people were probably switching over to see them, then those that stay are then seeing Dante Martin & Hangman a couple of "their" guys.

Same with Jeff's debut, start of the second hour then right after that we're into a showcasing of Wardlow.

It's just such an enjoyable and well put together show every week.

I can’t remember which charity it was but they said they’d rather money was sent direct than vans filled with clothes people were going to take to the tip. It’s heartwarming though to see someone prepared to fill up a van and drive it over 1000 miles this help but I do think leaving it to professionals or working with them is the best approach.

I think we're similar ages Keith...do you remember the "charity" doing the rounds in Coventry schools asking for donations to drive lorries over to Africa filled with "aid goods".

Even as a kid I thought it surely would be more economical and useful to send money direct to people to spend on products locally and only send items or medicine which for some reason couldn't be sourced there directly.

There'll never be a time these arguments can be made without risking a reduction in urgently needed support for Ukraine?

I would argue there's never been a better time.

The eyes of the entire world and all our media are fully fixated on this daily, what better time to shed some light on similar or worse plights which not only are in desperate need of action but again to reference Palestine have been going on for decades.

I've spoken to numerous people personally who have told me of experiencing Israeli soldiers turning up at their family home with guns telling them they have 24 hours to leave else their house is being flattened with them in it as they're taking the land for Israeli people.

This is a nation that classed as a "major ally" by NATO.

The biggest problem is ignorance. I spoke to a friend about Palestine a year or so ago when it came up in the news for a short spell and they had absolutely no idea whatsoever what was going on or the history. I knew little to nothing about the ongoing conflicts in Yemen and Somalia until I saw others mentioning them at the start of the Ukraine conflict. The main reason being that they haven't and likely wont be reported on to the same extent.

Added to my belief the main difference in concern by the west and their media is the whiteness aspect, my belief on why such attention and criticism isn't placed on perpetrators like Israel is because they're an ally of the UK/US and it's much harder to do than this jumping on the bandwagon style reaction against Russia.

Not only do we not boycott or sanction other similar perpetrators and their affiliates but we're actively funding them.

I don't agree whatsoever that "now isnt the time" or it "takes attention and support away". Imagine if during Me Too you had people sharing experiences of similar or worse abuse and there were people saying "hmm I'm not sure if now's the time really, you might take some attention from victims we actually care about, sorry".

Not having a go at you whatsoever, just trying to make a point.

  15. I was discussing this with a friend over the weekend how regardless of the overwhelming outpouring of support at the moment whoch we both attributed mainly to the whiteness of it all was that it's still only a matter of time before the same usual suspect media outlets currenrly showing support and some of the people on social media using whichever the latest trending profile picture frame to show their support make the transition from "these poor people lets help however we can" to "these people have helped themselves to all our jobs and benefits".

  16. For avoidance of any doubt and to avoid any misinterpretation I'm in total sympathy with everyone in Ukraine effected by this and the scenes are horrific.

I do however find it quite difficult to not acknowledge the utter hypocrisy the western world, the media and even sporting organisations have been treating the situation with when there are several places across the world where this has been happening and currently still is with nowhere near the reaction.

For just one example, my understanding is that Israel has been doing this, similar or possibly worse to Palestine and Palestinian people for 70 years or more.

I can't help but shake the feeling that the difference in the worlds reaction is because this time its happening to white people and that isn't helped by me having seen the clip from Trevor Noah where he highlights several reporters from mainstream media saying mental things like "this isn't an Afghanistan or Iraq" and "these are decent middle class normal people".

There's been numerous times football organisations have penalised clubs and players for showing support with various causes and have been told "theres no politics in football" and whilst I'm fully in support of the Ukrainian cause this does go once again to show there absolutely is room for politics in football...but only if the organisations and governing bodies involved arent concerned it might lose them any money.

Tay Conti is like Negative 1’s big sister and they have been exceptionally close since Brodie passed. If you know that and feel that way, you’re a wrongun. But if you don’t, I understand why it may feel off.

Clearly I don't know that and I don't follow any of them on social media or see anything other than them on TV so as I said I'm not saying I'm right I'm saying thats my perception from the information I'm aware of.

Seeing as wrestling is such a wholesome industry full of people of great character with good intentions where nobody has ever used a colleague's death for clout I can see why you'd be surprised I or others could even consider that could be the case though. 🙄

  18. I enjoyed the show overall and I'm bracing myself for backlash but I still don't get the love for Eddie Kingston.

To me his look is absolutely shite. He's been with the company in prominant spots and probably on better money than he's ever earned from wrestling previously for well over a year and he still hasn't bothered to get some even half decent looking ring gear. Every time I see him everything about his look gives me the vibe of your mates dad when you were a kid who was just a fat, loud, middle aged man, telling everyone how he could beat Lennox Lewis if he had been more focused and didn't spend all his time in his youth down the pub and shagging.

The tag match was good, surprised to see Jungle Express win though.

The ladder match was really good some cool spots and a good choice for the winner but they need to get rid of that big Sonic The Hedgehog Ring for it because it looks absolutely garbage.

Jade Cargill aka Girlberg is brilliant and she gets better and better every match. Amazing look and they should keep the title on her forever.

Fastening down for my second potentially controversial take of the post but theres something about Tay Conti I just find really dislikeable and have no interest in seeing her win anything. Add into that the wheeling out of Brodie Lee's wife and son which I just feel very odd about. I appreciate they're probably mates backstage and she's probably nice to the son but it just seems a bit too "cheer for me look I'm out here with a widow and her son". Not saying I'm right, just my opinion.

Punk and MJF was a bit too slow paced for me but the turn from Wardlow was great. Interesting to see what happens Wednesday with The Pinnacle.

I really like Baker so was glad to see her retain regardless of the repeated finish.

Mox/Bryan was very good and William Regal topped it all off.

Adam Cole looks dreadful no idea how hes been in the main event of so many promotions but thank god Hangman retained.

All in all a very enjoyable show.

  19. A Cody return with a proper heel turn would be good but it isn't needed tonight. The show is stacked let all of them shine without a potentially sour ending for a Cody return.

I actually wondered whether Khan would use ROH akin to how WWE did use NXT and whether Cody may be given a HHH style roll with them.
