I really do fear for the future of WWE after that, wrestlers destroying Titan Tower? How does that not sound creatively bankrupt? Or a Fonzy jumping the shark kind of idea? This wasn't pro wrestling, not to be over dramatic but I felt like I was watching the death of pro wrestling. It saddens me Paul Heyman, AJ Styles, Brian Danielson and Rey Mysterio had to be part of that.

I know we're all entitled to different opinions and they all vary but I have a really hard time believing any of you actually liked that, I expected C-Rock's reaction from all you guys but instead you all say you liked it. The fuck happened to this place? Did all the people who actually appreciate decent pro wrestling stop watching?

Ratings are down? Yeah no shit. I won't continue watching.

I’m starting to think you may actually be C-Rock.

Also he’s been Daniel Bryan for over a decade now.

If you don’t like the current product then feel free to go rewatch a murderers matches with a hard on.

The Intercontinental Title has been vacated due to Sami Zayn “being unable to defend it” - they’re starting a tournament for it on this week’s Smackers.

The only bonus of this is that Sami coming back and whining about never having lost the title can be that golden bit of heel work where he is completely justified in what he's saying but he's still an absolute dick about it. Actually COULD make the IC title feel like it means something if they handle it right.

WCW should have come in and mowed down the WWF guys. Really hammered them with the WWF guys having to pull out all the stops to overcome the big adversary. I am dismayed at how incompetent they were (though I do "get" that they didn't have half the stars). Booker, DDP, Awesome et al should have steamrolled over Taker, Austin and Angle. The problem was the simply wasn't enough big name talent to work. I would have bought in Flair earlier as the WCW frontman - furious at Vince for destroying the company that made him a megastar. The whole thing should have made mega money, not a damp squib.

Mike Awesome should have steam rolled the Undertaker . . .

Are they definitely Trump supporters? I know Cody liked a Tweet the other day saying Sami Zayn should go back to Canada if he doesn't like how the US is handling things, but I thought that was a joke. I suppose Cody - a rich kid from the South - supporting Trump makes sense anyway. The Bucks are from California though, aren't they?

    Big Christian boys though

  5. I mean not so such a first “reign” as they traded the belt back and forth a few times but The Rock’s first two championship feuds were with Foley and Austin and were both pretty awesome.

Hogan obviously but that goes without saying.

    John Cena probably too.

    Gonna have to disagree.

I think Zeus may have only had one other match & that was for WWC in Puerto Rico versus Abdullah the Butcher, which was bloody awful! Beefcake & Hogan may well have been limited in the ring, but Zeus was the drizzling shits!

He was also part of the Alliance to end Hulkamania in WCW I believe.

Yes! On one of the early Smackdown games Saturn happened to have orange and black trunks and they both had a similar skin tone in the game, so naturally i stuck them together as a team. Genuinely think they'd have been a good fit though and just sounds like the sort of team i'd have fucking loved.

I always thought Alberto Del Rio would have his face turn by saving Ricardo Rodriguez, they'd start teaming with Alberto getting Ricardo to believe in himself and they'd eventually bag the titles with Ricardo scoring the victory in a little feel good story.

I forgot about black Saturn in the smackdown games.

I think only The Undertaker was actually "cast". The others all evolved into what they became from circumstance and personal involvement. Also, apart from when he was the Vanilla Ice dude, I'm not sure what John Cena's gimmick is. He's just John Cena.

Kevin Nash always strikes me as the other obvious Undertaker. If they hadn't got Mean Mark when they did and sat on the idea for a couple of years, that could have been a thing. I'm not sure he'd have committed to it but it would have been bloody baffling when they started to humanise the character and he became an arrogant prick.

He would have been great - but he'd have hated it "you don't dress a pussy magnet up like a zombie"

I dunno, man. He’s always had loads of potential, with crowd engagement being one of his weaker points, and the competition for Best Empty Arena Match isn’t great. I’d be surprised if I enjoy it more than Rock vs Mankind, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s really good.

Surely it's Funk vs Lawler? "MY EYE!"

  10.  . . .  great.

I was thinking about Rikishi the other day. It's weird that a fat Samoan man in a thong, who's act was rubbing his ass in other men's faces, and danced a little, managed to not be a complete comedy act and have a certain amount of credibility. He was very over for a spell. It's an act I suspect would be ridiculed and made fun of for years if around now.

Imo Rikishi was a very sound wrestler, probably underrated in that regard, and deserved the longevity he had.

I remember that Smackdown episode where Howard Finkel messed up that “Random drawing” Triple H had to determine who would challenge for his title and accidentally picked Rikishi.

And like you say, despite being a largely comedy act, there was a genuine aura of “oh shit, here we go”

is there any way i can watch last nights Raw on the Network?

Just watching the 2014 Raw after Mania, an amazing show

    Daniel Bryan

Crowd chanting Yes longer than one of the title matches from this years Mania

Bad News Barrett a massive face over Rey,

Fandango still getting the crowd to sing along.

    Warrior's final appearance

    Paige's raw debut (from Nor-wich)

Still gives goosebumps with the opening montage.

Wyatt’s pop that night when they win the six man is enormous as well. And all the more poignant after this year.

Luger and Sid are probably the two guys who get this sort of reaction, and Meltzer is probably a big reason why because he hated both. They're both polarising. Not in a love them or hate them way but because both had a couple of periods where they absolutely live up to the worst narrative but are often a bundle of fun. And Luger especially has periods where he's really, really good.

    I love Sid.

But I fucking hate Lex Luger.

Ronda and Kurt are probably the two finest examples of cross over stars picking up the psychology and art of performance ridiculously quickly.

That debut match from Ronda at Mania was fucking awesome. Steph and HHH were outstanding as well.

The crowd eat it up which is always brilliant to see.

When HHH is out of the ring and Angle is crawling towards Ronda for the Tag Stephanie is amazing as she realises what is about to happen "Hunter .  . . HUNTER!" Cue Ronda sprinting across the ring and throwing Steph in.
