  1. I've got a couple on so far:

£3.20 - Returning £20 on Overeem, Faber, Gall (Via Win By Finish)
£1.50 - Retruning £22 on Overeem (Win Via Finish) Brown/Werdum (Fight to be finished by either fighter) and Faber.
£1.20 - Returning £55 on Punk, Overeem, Browne, Rivera - This is basically just a run at the underdogs in each fight except Rivera.

Need to add one or two more without Overeem winning as inevitably that'll fuck everything up for me.

  2. If GSP comes back and regains the title, you can basically shut down the GOAT discussion. It's a wrap. The only one who could potentially touch his legacy is Jon Jones and he's such a fuck up that his career's probably going to end in tatters anyway. And I'd have put GSP's legacy over Anderson's anyway but Anderson cemented that by attaching the stench of PEDs to his HOF career.

Basically, GSP is the daddy. For the foreseeable future anyway. I think the man or woman to surpass him is either having a shit in their nappy right now, or they're not even born yet.

I believe that man is actually opening up UFC 203 in a fight against Mickey Gall.

  3.

I know it's mentioned a page or so back but I'm still relatively new to the drinking world. Huge fan of Sam Adams over here on tap and similarly Brooklyn larger on bottles, although both not really sold much round here. Can anyone recommend anything else that shares a similar taste that I may find more widespread in pubs?

Luckily there's a few decent American style lagers that are becoming more common now, but if you like them you'll probably like American style IPAs.

Sierra Nevada and Blue Moon will probably be easiest to find, most decent pubs offer at least one in bottles. Goose Island is becoming more readily available as well and has a few varieties. Supermarkets should stock all 3 if you want to give them a try.

Also, if you get the chance, try Neck Oil and Gamma Ray by beavertown (UK/London based brewery), probs mentioned earlier in the thread but if I take someone out for a drink who isn't used to more craft based pints, I tend to get either of these in, bloody glorious.

Not sure about the rest of the UK, but there's at least 5 pubs in Newcastle that have either or both in on tap.

Cheers for these fellas, presuming Kaz was also responding to my question. I've tried Blue Moon (they serve it with a slice of orange, which seems gimmicky, with limited effect to the beer) but enjoyed it from the tap, found it significantly different to Sam Adam's, but in a good way, Sam always comes across as being the nearest thing to an ale, without it being an ale, (sounds silly I know) Blue Moon tasted like a spin on the usual lager we get over here. We've just had a coast-to-coast restaurant open near us down here in Southampton, foods shite but it's all American based as is the bar, so Sam Adams, Blue Moon both on tap as with Budweiser. Budweiser from the tap tastes a million miles better to me than out the bottle, not sure if that's just me but tastes like your drinking a decent beer rather than piss water.

Need to keep an eye out for Nevada, haven't heard of before. Just started drinking IPAs find them really enjoyable and don't leave me with a shitty aftertaste of soap I seem to get with more darker ales, so I'll keep an eye out for American based ones.

  5. Anthony Bennett to the Nets on a 2 year, minimum deal.

Quick prediction: The Nets are going to finish bottom of the East this year. They are beyond horrible. Poor Brook Lopez.

Whatever we do trade wise, we can't give up our Nets pick for next year. So far it's looking rather valuable in a seriously good draft year.

Your right though the Nets are fucked. They have been for a little while to. Not a clue what there current plan is. They're still 3 years of the proper start of a re-build as we've got there first round picks tied up from the KG/Pierce trade ages ago.

Question I have for you lot then is let's say the Cs somehow get Blake and Westbrooke. Where does that put them in contetntion for a ring?

Yes it puts them easily in the top 2 of the east but does Westbrook, IT, Crowder, Horford, Griffin beat GS or the Cavs.

  6. There's a slim chance if things fall in place we could end up with two of Cousins/Westbrook/Griffin making us an easy #2 in the East.

Can you imagine Westbrook leading the Celtics to a final against KD and the GSW? Stuff of movies that.

  7. I'd take Griffin and get rid of Crowder quite quickly.

He's an ok player, as you said he might well develop into something decent but I feel that'll take a number of seasons, plus we have a good chance at the number 1 pick next year in the highly coveted draft.

If Danny has the option of giving up Crowder for Blake without giving up a #1 draft pick for the next two years he'll take it.

  8. Don't think it's whiny at all. Think that's very fair comment to make and was what I was getting at when I mentioned contacting Coker and Bellator directly on Twitter if other means don't fix it for you. Its basically dicking the customers who've provided any revenue to keep this as an actual event over here IMO. Putting cheaper and freebies in better seats. That isn't how it should work.

  9. I can't see us getting Blake unless he commits to longer than a year. There was stuff going about regarding Westbrook possibly being open to us once KD confirmed he was off but the lack of committing more than a year was an instant no-no to Danny.

With the Blake deal there's also talk of Pierce coming back for a final year in Boston to. Love that guy and for one year I'm not adverse to it if the trade makes sense. Would hate to lose Bradley mind. He's a real sleeper player, underrated IMO.

  10. for the second show running i've popped on facebook and saw the Marshman result (he's a local guy so he's all over my feed), i forgot about it being live on friday evening and logged onto my phone whilst in work, fuck sake.

Marshan to me is really odd, I've probably not seen enough of him to warrant an opinion, but the few times I've seen him comfortably win his opponent has offered next to nothing leaving Jack with a relatively easy KO win. Is he UFC bound?

  11. Art I did write a lengthy post that fucked up when submitting about the east, the jist of it was I feel it's going to more contested in the 2nd spot between Celtics and Raptors. Although they've just added sully (good addition for the money) they're one of the few teams to not really add anything significant in the East. Prior to last year. Knicks is a total gamble. If they somehow stay injury free they'll do well, otherwise it could be horrid.

Tim's departure was reall classy. Much like his career.

  12. He's like marmite but I can't help but love Chael, him asking questions as a member of the media made me crease up during Jones's presser.

But yeah I've seen a lot of talk about GAT products mostly being illegal to use within MMA competition if caught, the fact he's sponsored by them probably indicates what went wrong.

Somebody made a really great suggestion why the fuck haven't USADA started selling pre-tested supplements. Fuck me there's money to be made there.
