Just to say, that picture had no bearing on my post, it's just that that picture was the only one I could find that was definitely during the Rey feud. I think it was pre- Judgment Day as well, so they hadn't crossed into awfulness yet. As I've said the build up and execution of the initial turn was quite good tv.

The worst high profile WWE feud ever. After his awful title run Eddie had settled back into a role where i could actually enjoy him again, demonsmania had stopped running wild, and he could cut a promo without saying "i was an addict" every two words.... and then this feud came along. After defeat in a cracking opener at WM21 Eddie spends a few weeks teasing a heel turn, and then does it, the only problem? with every push for Eddie ADDICTION soon follows, ugh. The feud was built around Eddie having never beat Mysterio, despite pinning him clean on a televised episode of Smackdown in 04, so Eddie's "new addiction is beating Rey Mysterio", and as if THAT wasn't bad enough they then reveal that Eddie is Dominick's real father. They spent the summer having mediocre (or shit, by their standards) matches, with the absolute worst promo work I've ever seen. Rey won custody of Dominick in a shit ladder match, and Eddie got his "fix" at some point, hideously bad tv.

Whoever was booking Smackdown in 05 should be hit by a bus. Not long after this Eddie was placed into a feud with the more over than anyone else in the industry at the time Batista, who was as hot as anyone's been in the last decade. What did they do with the World Heavyweight champion?, they put him in a feud with a tweener Eddie which was centered around "Eddie's new addiction is friendship", ugh. Is he a face? is he a heel? noone (outside the intenet) gave a fuck, and their match at No Mercy was the lowest drawing ppv of the year, Batista never recovered to the level he was at before, and Eddie died shortly after, and went on to recieve a post-death superman push which is still going strong.

Who was booking Smackdown then?, and why isn't he being slaughtered regularly?.

Raw was steaksauce in 2003.

I thought the Dixie one was a bit gash to be honest. The questions didn't seem as punchy as usual with the youshoot.

I did like her admitting that there was no point to the 6-sided ring, and it was basically a pointless gimmick. I wonder how the people who cried about their identity being raped when it turned into a normal ring feel now.

I finally got round to listening to Ernest Miller's shoot today, it wasn't as great as expected, still a fun way to spend an hour and a half or so. He seemed to get along with everyone, he was very big on Scott Hall as well, which always gets you extra cool points from me. Some funny stories, and his constant bullying of the interviewer was hilarious. Definitely worth a watch.

Richie, that was just the usual case of Skeeavone being a fucking spoon, rather than any kind of plan, I hope.

Can somebody please post the MITB PPV card as it was on Sunday morning before showtime. That is to say, with no last minute card changes or bonus matches that would or could be a spoiler for something as a result. I'm watching the show unspoiled tomorrow night but can't remember the whole lot.

Seen as it's late, I'd go with 300, you can turn your brain off and sit back and enjoy the bloodyness. I remember it being quite short too.

Watched DOA on STV last night, I only wanted to watch it to see Kevin Nash steal the show, and Holly Valance half naked, i wasn't dissappointed, i also got to see Jaime Pressly half naked as well. 9/10.

It's the classic case of "normal girl with disgusting male" syndrome, I've seen it alot, and in my younger more naive day's it used to baffle me that I'd see a normal to tidy looking girl with a hideous creature of a man, usually fat, usually disfigured, and usually look's like no matter how many bath's they take they won't stop smelling like Pot Noodle. I would see these "couples" walking around looking like lovebird's, sometimes the disgusting male get's contact, a cuddle, a kiss on the cheek, sometime's I'd even see them holding hand's. The one constant in all these "normal girl with disgusting male" cases is that the disgusting male always thinks he has a chance, and that the girl loves him... But she doesn't, Midas she does love you pal, but not in that way, or even in a "he's my best friend totally plutonic" kind of way, she loves/tolerates your hideousness because you look the way you do, she feels safe, no matter how drunk she get's she will never be drunk enough to say "y'know what i'll give him a sympathy shag" that's why you're her friend.

 

 

And that's why it's so baffling to the rest of us, we see you and think "what the fuck is that" or "well even if they're just friend's, surely she could have a more human best friend", but she can't it's not safe, do you never wonder Midas why something that look's like you could be "best friend's" with her? why she doesn't even have the stereotypical fat speccy lassie best friend? It's because even if she's a 100% straight there's still a 00000.1% chance that one night at a party when she's had far too much too drink, and she's 5 minutes away from going on a whitey but doesn't realise it yet, she'll have that little tingle that desperately needs to be touched, then even the fat speccy lassie would be an option. But you never will be, no matter how much you kid yourself, look at her, then look in the mirror.

 

 

This theory all goes to pot though if you have a fat bank account, and it turn's into the far more common "slags will shag anything with money" disorder, even then though, i'd still say you're lying.
