  1. The Death of WCW is absolutely awful. It combines the Idiocy of Alvarez with the Failed Humour of RD Reynolds, and mixes it in with factual inaccuracies, half truths, blatant lies, and the "Scott Keith Special" of presenting your opinion as fact. Also, there's a bad habit of not seeing the forest for the trees in their writing. A particular passage that stuck in my craw is how they lambasted the Sturgis crowd for booing into a 30 minute Benoit vs Malenko match like it's the worst thing anyone could do on earth ever, and ignoring the fact that the Sturgis crowd would annually boo all African-American wrestlers, including the faces. That's the kind of thing you can expect all through the book. It's poor to say the least.

My favourite part's when they spend multiple pages mocking Scott Halls alcoholism, and saying he should've been fired when he keyed a car. Then later on in the book blast WCW for not making a big deal out of Eddies "heroic" return from a car crash, caused by him getting so fucked up that he fell asleep at the wheel.

    You couldn't make it up.

  2. I think this is everyone:

    Paul Heyman (GM)

    Rob Van Dam

    Sandman

    The Zombie

    Tazz

    Joey Styles

    Justin Credible

    Kurt Angle

    Kelly

    Ariel

    Mike Knox

    CM Punk

    Francine

    CW Anderson

    Dean Malenko (referee)

    Ariel

    Test

    Balls Mahoney

    Danny Doring

    Roadkill

    Al Snow

    Trinity

    Tommy Dreamer

    Little Guido

    Big Guido

    Tony Mamaluke

    Stevie Richards

    Sabu

    And Big Show.

  3. It's clearly not Undertaker, definitely not, especially now that they've shown his face. WWE never just plays "this guy is returning" vignettes, and they definitely wouldn't do it so obviously. Remember the Beautiful Day music videos?, when they showed clips of the Brooklyn Brawler rehabbing his quad, only to swerve us on the MSG Raw and have HHH return, that wouldn't have been the same if they'd just said "HHH is returning".

Now, not to discredit the perfectly plausible ideas that it's Awesome Kong, Hector Guerrero, or Shawn Michaels wearing facepaint and a trenchcoat, but I have a theory myself... Lets look at the facts...

    (1) They've showed Undertakers face. Why would they show Undertakers face if it was just going to be Undertaker?, exactly!, WWE wouldn't spoil their own surprise. Undertakers appeared for WWE before as well, so by showing him, we now know that it's going to be someone new debuting.

    (2) There's heavy rain pouring down outside the cabin. Do you know where a lot of rain pours down?, in the jungle, maybe even the Congo?.

    (3) There's only one person in the video. Which would lead most fans to believe this is an important person, a very important person. In conjunction with fact number 2 are we supposed to assume that this man is some kind of "Jungle V.I.P"?.

    (4) The numbers. "21"- what's the 21st letter in the alphabet?, it's "U", which clearly stands for Undertaker, this is clearly the Jungle V.I.P's way of challenging him to a match at Wrestlemania. The next number is "2", which of course is the record number of WrestleZone World Heavyweight Championships any wrestler in history has won, and noone has come close to beating that record, check the history books http://www.wrestlezonescotland.co.uk/roster.php

And of course, the number "11", what's the 11th letter in the alphabet?, K.

    He's fucking coming....

  4. If the MP doesn't respond within 10 days say, send the email again and then if necessary a 3rd time. If still no response after 3 mailings, we will have to put your MP on the black-list of those who support paedophilia...

You've got to be fucking joking, surely? Seriously, we might casually throw around the odd remark that you're a nutter, but if you say things like then I would SERIOUSLY question your mental health. That's an absolutely appalling thing for you to suggest.

That's what I was going to say. If this MP ignores the claims of a "super secret parliament mongo-raping society" like any sane person would, then that makes him support paedophilia?. I got a massive laugh at the "the paedophiles are extremely nasty and use hit-men to silence opponents" part though. This is fucking mental, even by conspiracy theorists standards.

  5. Fuck it, seems like fun.

  6. Fans chanting for a heel Diesel during a 1994 Battle Royal. Very similar to the Rumble match. At 7:45

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDepP3ao5xA...feature=related

I've got a tape somewhere with a fancam of a Battle Royale filmed from MSG where the entire crowd's chanting for Big D, I'm not sure if he'd even wrestled on tv beforehand, it's quality. I wish I could find it, it's also got the Diesel vs HBK cage match from MSG the night of the "Curtain call", and a Bret vs Owen Iron Man on it as well. I have no idea where I got it from.

  7. Reading an old Powerslam magazine from about ten years ago there and they said WCW had a stable called the "Old Age Outlaws". WTF was that all about? Thanks!

They were around about early 2000, it was Funk, Orndorff, Arn, and Zybyssko. I really can't remember much about it other than it leading to the Funk vs Nash ppv match (which may or may not have been for the "President" role).

    Butch or Ian will remember.

Edit. Fuck sake Ian, that was quick.

  8. Has anyone seen Justified?, I caught a glimpse of it on FiveUSA a couple of weeks ago and noticed that the main man Walton Goggins is in it, so I'm thinking of giving it a blast. Any good?.

Cleetus, it's great. Timothy Olyphant is really good in it, probably even better than in Deadwood. Essentially, every episode he ends up blowing some motherfucker away, and being totally cool whilst he does. There are some cool antagonists too, particularly your man Walton Goggins, but also M.C Gainey as his badass dad (Swamp Thing from Con Air).

    You'll love it.

I knew I could trust your judgement. It's fantastic eh?, I'm up to episode 8 now. Definitely the best I've ever seen Olyphant perform, Raylan might be my favourite lead character I've seen since The Shield ended. Walton Goggins is as great as I expected, it'd be easy to go too over the top playing the role, but he gets the balance spot-on, as he always does. You can't tell if he actually believes what he's saying or not, the interactions between him and Raylan have all been amazing.

SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

The scene with Boyd leaving prison being accompanied by Raylan was one of the best I've seen in recent memory. Everything about it was great. Especially the dialogue

    Cheers, Loki. 10/10

  9. Can anyone suggest some good matches from Bret Harts time in WCW? I've seen the Benoit one but interested in seeing others.

    Vs Flair. Souled Out 98

    vs Savage. Slamboree 98

    Vs Sting. Halloween Havoc 98

Vs Benoit. Mayhem 99. (I take it it was the Nitro match you've already seen?)

Oh, and there was a great match with DDP on Nitro sometime at the back end of 98, probably November.

Edit. Here's the DDP match http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x66i4x_ni...-ddp_shortfilms

  10. Anyone fancy giving us some Shawn Michaels recommendations from free TV in his 2nd run?

Only really looking for matches, not so much interested in promos, skits, angles etc. I've saw most PPV's but i'd be lying if i said i was an avid weekly follower of the WWE in the past 7/8 years. I'm familiar with most of the well hyped ones like v HHH (last RAW of 2003), Shelton Benjamin, Angle (Iron man), 2nd match v Cena, and the Edge streetfight, but there must still be loads of great stuff that's almost forgotten or tends to be overlooked.

I accidentally stumbled across a bit of a gem from RAW v Jericho from 2003 too, which can't have been too long after their WM match. I've never heard any mention of it in any pimping lists, but it was pretty good stuff.

These are the best I can think of right now...

Teaming with Jeff Hardy vs Chrstian and Chris Jericho. Raw early 03

Teaming with Kevin Nash vs Ric Flair and Randy Orton in MSG. Raw June/July 03

Vs Chris Benoit. World title, early May 04 (a fucking classic!)

Vs Edge vs Chris Benoit. Raw before Taboo Tuesday 04

Vs Edge. Street fight. Raw early 2005 probably.

Vs MR Kennedy, sometime in 06..

Vs Edge vs Randy Orton. No1 contenders match for WM23, Raw Feb/March 07.

Vs John Cena. Raw January 09

The one night Rockers reunion's worth a watch as well for the fun factor, against La Resistance sometime in the build up to WM21

Edit. This one's great too http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbsojj_sh...foley-ben_sport

It's HBK,Benoit,Benjamin, and Foley vs Evolution. Cracking stuff.
