What about the kids and others who just don't know where he's gone?
Well if theyâre not watching TMZ and all the wrestlersâ Instagram videos, theyâre not real fans. You canât expect everything to be spoonfed on the show itself. Fuck casuals. But even without that kind of Elitism, the oddest absence on the show isnât Roman Reigns, itâs the audience and any kind of atmosphere.
Wrestlers vanishing without explanation isnât a new thing. Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton often disappear for months at a time without any reason given. The Usos and Naomi dropped off the face of the earth for about six months. Daniel Bryan was gone after WrestleMania last year for ages, Sasha Banks was gone longer. John Cena in the last couple of years of still being pretty active.
As a creative decision, explaining away a wrestlerâs Coronavirus absence is up for debate. But that was a conversation for the week or two before WrestleMania. Thereâs no value in plopping it into the show weeks later, if thereâs nothing to say about it. But it turning into a Vince Hates Roman Now conspiracy this week seems like a WWE leak designed to use the peak Vince Bad heat to turn Roman babyface to the moron audience.

Roman Reigns informed us earlier that he will not compete tonight even though he had nothing better to do then he had to go back to his home planet.

Agreed, but they have reversed Poochied him. If you need to write someone off, especially your top guy, acknowledge it
If, on the night before WrestleMania, theyâd gone âRoman Reigns got injured in trainingâ it wouldâve been met with a sea of âREEEEEEEEE no he didnâtâ - as happened when they pretended The Miz was injured.Â
Theyâre never going to say heâs staying home because of Coronavirus fear, and deyâre never going to accept a storyline reason for his absence.Â

The rumours online etc seem to be that Vince has stated nobody is to mention him on commentary or in promos. Seems like not an erasing of sorts, just a let's not mention him and just talk about those that are there.Â
Well yeah, because thereâd be no purpose to commentators talking about Roman until heâs on the way back. What context are dey expecting him to be mentioned in?

AEW are doing right by doing the stupid zoom chats and shit like that, keep things light and kinda take the piss because in grand scheme of things these shows mean fuck all in real life and long term plans.
Hager needs a new haircut to look menacing, still looks to much like jack swagger to be a fresh threat.
A skinhead might suit him for wrestling, but his current hairstyle definitely works better at Republican rallies and whatnot.

Has anyone mentioned Roman Reigns on television? Or have they fully Chris Benoitâd him, erasing him from existence?
I donât know if the commentators have talked about him because fuck listening, but heâs still the main man in the intro video and heâs in the merch ads etc - and the Usos entrance graphic still mentions him. So no, definitely no erasing.

So the Money in the Bank matches this year are taking place at WWE HQ, and the wrestlers have to race from the ground floor to the roof to get the case.Â

That video someone made that was a compilation of Lex adjusting his âpackageâ in various matches is something I havenât been able to shake off ever since someone posted it on here a while back. Maybe thatâs linked to these noises in some way. The man was clearly in considerable pain.Â
He was doing it in that NWA backstage camcorder footage that was posted here the other day. Hawk talking pure shit in the dressing room and introducing everyone, and Lex is sitting there with his hand down his pants having a fiddle.

Anyone who gets over makes the company money, so why they would want to deliberately scupper a potential money-maker is beyond me.
Because Knowing Vince, he hates the fans (dunno why, theyâve never had a bad word to say about him, heâs probably just petty) and doesnât want anyone the fans like to get over. He doesnât care about money, he will leave money on the table just to bury someone the fans like. Please donât point out the fact that this Vince Bad contradicts the âonly cares about moneyâ Vince Bad.

Itâs almost like there is a correlation between being the most ruthless, money oriented business and being the worlds biggest business in your industry. Amazon, Apple, Walmart, WWE, it shouldnât be a surprise to anyone.Â
Itâs not a surprise, but itâs still solid fuel for me to win the Most Faux-Outraged competition DISGUSTENG (well it was fuckin one a yas).

Rusevâs a weird one, isnât he? Heâs seemed halfway out the door for about five years, since the Ziggler storyline. Over the last three years, heâs just disappeared for months on end a few times. For some reason, heâs always re-signed and stuck around. Perhaps it was the Mrs, or perhaps he just couldnât take the leap to quit Vince and now heâs free heâll never go back.
-
That was nine years ago. He was a fad for about six months, but he stayed on the books for nearly a decade after that. And he still won titles at WrestleMania in 2016 and 2019.
Iâm yet to see any real defence of the claim that heâs had more impact on WWE than Goldberg has.

Agree to disagree. Zack is the master of social media. People have been talking of Z being such a hit on You Tube it led wrestlers thinking outside the box, and look at what happened to Being the Elite! If now him and Hawkins had the WF podcast and Figure it Out. They kept themselves relative even without proper TV time
You think Zack Ryder has made WWE more money/ drawn more viewers/Â made more of an impact, in the last twelve months than Goldberg has? Or in their respective careers?Â
I donât know why Iâm asking you to clarify, either one is absolutely bonkers.

One of them should fuck the no-compete off. At Double or Nothing, Harper eats a steak wrap (with ketchup) and counts stacks of cash while firing half the Voodoo Kin Mafia. One of them takes off the gimp mask and itâs Rusev! Matchka kick and then runs off celebrating like heâs won the World Cup. Harper, still on the ground, looks begrudgingly impressed and mutters âGood shit, pal.â

Nobodyâs leaving the house for a while, and that means more time on our hands to rant at people on the Internet for likes. Choose your gang in the great culture wars of 2020. The UKFF is a relatively small battlefield, but revered by all who took part in the hundred-year pCc vs Paidos feud.
This isnât a Mafia game. You donât have to do anything different to what youâre already doing, but you can change your avatar if you want. Just not to Our Great Sport.
Be honest, fuckers.

Itâs mind-boggling Drakeâs been asked to see the tournament through after being told he's being let go from his dream job.
âYeah, Iâll do the tournament. But my per-appearance fee is now ÂŁ25,000.â
In his video, it didnât sound like heâs been asked to do it. He said theyâre letting him do it.Â
Although, has it definitely definitely not already been taped?

Oh fuck off with that. If you can afford to keep someone employed during a time of crisis, general humanity should insist that you do.Â
I donât know whether youâre being deliberately contrarian or not but the circumstances weâre in mean itâs more important than ever to look out for others.
Fair play on shouting down the div kid, but I think youâre over-egging it a bit. These performers who were sacked were making as much money as a lot of CEOs do, and they may still be paid at that rate for the next three months.
Itâs very sad from the perspective that theyâve been dreaming of being WWE superstars since they were kids, but letâs not forget that theyâre rich and this isnât going to put their lives at risk. Theyâre not really in the same boat as someone on the breadline losing their cleaning job and not being able to afford their next rent payment or to feed their kids. Erick Rowan and co arenât going to be queuing up at the food bank the way that people laid off from normal, dead-end jobs (like the WWE office employees) might need to.

A name established enough as Rusev should be alright, but you only need to see Drake Maverick's twitter video to get the strong feeling that people like him, No Way Jose and whoever could come from this NXT batch seem pretty fucked.
Assuming that itâs even still going to be possible making a living in wrestling outside WWE in future, Maverick should be fine in terms of prospects - in a wrestling landscape full of moveset bores, heâs incredibly charismatic and entertaining and always puts 100% effort in. His 24/7 run has cemented him as brilliant value for AEW, NWA or any wrestling promotion with a TV or streaming show. Manager, General Manager, wrestler, valet, any onscreen role heâs given heâd knock out of the park.
But itâs heartbreaking because you can see how much heâs loved being in the big leagues, being part of the wrestling company. And itâs shitty because the dedication heâs shown, how much heâs  gone above and beyond every step of the way. Iâd be very surprised if heâs not back there within the next couple of years at the latest.

Shit, thatâs true. If Romanâs not on screen and all the other characters arenât asking âwhereâs Roman?â it can only mean that heâs definitely been Benoitâd.
