Issue 64 of FSM is out tomorrow (Thursday, February 23), featuring an in-depth interview with none other than Jerry "The King" Lawler, as well as detailed stories on Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Ken Anderson, and many more. We also have a tremendous insight into what it's like to be a independent wrestler in the tough economic time that is 2011.

I hope many of you will pick the magazine up, and offer your opinion of it in this thread.

the DVD covers at the bottom of the cover that say 'reviewed inside this isssue', whats the one in the middle, i cant make it out

  2. HOLY FUCKING SHIT

Don't click the link if you don't want to see a woman jumping off a building ledge.

Again, not real. You can see it's a mannequin as the arm is still up in the air after impact!

and the fact that there was no kind of explosion of the body upon impact.

    Either way, heres mine -

Tim Yeung tracking Drums for the upcoming album from Morbid Angel

  3. I read this interesting bit of trivia over on Lords Of Pain earlier today:

In light of speculation of a Sting vs. Undertaker showdown at WrestleMania XXVII, if they were to wrestle, it would not be their first encounter.

Sting, as WCW World Heavyweight Champion, wrestled and pinned the future "Deadman" on September 1, 1990 in the main event at a World Championship Wrestling live event in Greensboro, North Carolina. They were scheduled for a follow-up bout the following night in Knoxville, Tennessee, but the match in Greensboro was such a disaster that they put Harley Race, at that point a generally retired wrestler turned manager, in the main event instead. Knoxville was Mark Calaway's final date as "Mean" Mark Callous as he had already given notice to WCW officials and agreed to join the World Wrestling Federation.

It should be noted, however, that the concept of The Undertaker character was not presented to Calaway until after he signed with Vince McMahon. He said in a 2002 interview with WWE Magazine that he was terrified that he would be hatched from an oversized egg at the 1990 Survivor Series, which had been on display at WWF events for months and heavily hyped on television, and appear as an egg-like character.

"The promotion was leading up to Survivor Series, and I was terrified that (Vince McMahon) was going to call me and want me to be a big egg, to shave my head and eyebrows and be "egg man," Calaway stated. "It was definitely a relief to get the Undertaker call."

  4. is the WEC one worth it, I decided against getting it becasue it was only 6 fights.

And thought I'd post this fight also:

I train with Vicki Watts at MDMA in Hull, this was her pro-MMA debut. Great little fight, and I believe it was the fight UCMMA Women's fight

  5. I think everyone who is saying that its definately Sting or definately Taker cos "you can see that its them in the video" maybe missing the point of the videos. I think that given the fact that the WWE are a multi million dollar company they could quite easily hire some stand in types to spend the day filming videos like this, dress them up in a trench coat and make it dark so the figure can't be seen that clearly and as long as there not showing the guys in close up you could pretty much get anyone to dress up like that and play Sting/Taker for the day.

    THIS

IF it is a build up for Sting, which again I really hope it is, there is no way that its actually Sting in the video.

EDIT ~ Wonder if they will tie this in with the mystery gm?

an old creepy house like that would need one hell of a Wi-Fi connection

  6. Saw this on wrestlezone

    21.2.11

    (21 - 2) = 19

    (1 - 1) = 0

    19 - 0 (undertakers wrestlemania streak)

so if taker was to come back the day after EC, who would he be feuding with on RAW? Nexus is barely the same people it was at Survivor Series when he was buried, Wades over on Smackdown with The Core, and Taker has been a Smackdown staple for years now

  7. seven.jpg

just watched it back on youtube.

Anyone else notice that on the wide shot of the house after the lightning strikes, the reflection on the front post seems to be in a seven shape? Could be a complete coincidence, but something to think about

You could get anyone to do the gimmick, casual won't remember about WCW ballsing it up 10 years prior

  8. It was just so low rent. One thing that sticks in my mind was it was either a review of Wrestlemania, an article on Batista or an article on nudertaker

DO NOT want to see that gimmick.

looks like I just 'did a Fighting Spirit'

  9. the thing tht I hated most about FSM (besides James Denton) was the overty smart-arsey way that anything that one of the big leagues (WWE in particular) was instantly put down in favour of some indie show. you'd get shit in the end of year polls were the readers would have their say and then some greasy-haired nerd would say some shit along the lines of 'the July supershow show from Solihull Leisure Centre was SOOOO~! much better than anything WWE put on Wrestlemania'.

Then they had thier 'What If...' articles. An articles which when asking 'What If...Eric Bischoff had bought WCW?' would somehow end with CM Punk beating Triple H for the WWE cleanly at Wrestlemania

And FSM seemed to be the only people on the planet who thought that Wrestling Society X was worth 30 seconds of your time.

It was just so low rent. One thing that sticks in my mind was it was either a review of Wrestlemania, an article on Batista or an article on nudertaker. Either way, it had a shot of the Wrestlemania 23 match were Batista is putting th fists to 'taker. The picture used (in a national sold magazine) was a screenshot from a downloaded version of the show (I think it was the Bell Expressvu in the top right corner). The whole thing just screened cheap fanzine

  10. I bought it from that site.

Was Out Of Stock at the time, but only took them ab out a week to get it back in and then dispatch to me. From Ordering (when it was Out Of Stock) to recieving it through my door was about 2 weeks. Also, they sent it to a warehouse they own in Europe, and then re-distribute to you, thus avoiding any unwanted customs fees. Honestly, its avery reliable site, they keep you updated constantly with the status of your order, and with it being in stock now, it will dispatch straight away and be with you within a week (and like I say, they keep you constantly updated with the status).

With it being region free blu ray, it works on PS3 and a normal Blu Ray player (my player is not region free, and it works perfectly)

cool man, ive ordered it :)

quick question, whats the packinging like? my mate has it on dvd, he bought it on release and the packaging is really nice, wondering if its the same. Stuff like this tends to get released pretty nice to start off then gets distributed a bit cheaper looking later on.

The version I have comes in what I think you would call digipak packing. Its the same height as a standard blu ray case, double the depth, and comes with a booklet with some real nice photos, and fight from UFC 1 to UFC 98, with from Fight Night too

  11. I bought it from that site.

  12. How to train your Dragon, I loved it.

Perhaps im getting to soft in my old age but im liking more films these days, it happened with Dispicable me and it happened with this.

Initially the story was a bit 'REALLY?' but once you get over that and realise your watching a kids film its easy to get into.

The Dragons are awesome esp the main one (it might be because it looks and acts just like my cat), the other characters are all good and interesting with one hell of a great cast line up doing the voices.

Adults should rent this or buy it if you have kids as they will love it.

Loved this. It came out around the same time as Avatar and I remember liking this one so much more. Recommended.

Avatar was out last December, How To Train Your Dragon came out at the end of March this year( I took my fiance to the previews). They've been putting the DVD/Blu Ray release off until now for the Primary Gift Period (more commonly known as Christmas)

FightDVD doesn't have the one with full fights just the highlights like they showed on TV at the time. This one has all the fights shown in full as far as I'm aware. Not sure where you get it from though, dunno if it was ever actually released over here.Might be an import job.

6 Disc Region Free Blu Ray - here UFC Ultimate 100 - Blu Ray and it's about half the price I paid for it at the start of the year.

The same site also has the 8 Disc DVD edition, but thats only Region 1 encoded
