  1. Rogan has a history of bloodlust. He want knees to the head legal and ground stand ups due to inactivity to be stopped.

Not just in MMA but in life, he hates authority or the state having a hand in anything. But, yes in this case he was being a bit silly, sometimes these fighters need to be saved from themselves.

Yep. Joe Rogan justified Glover Teixeira vs. Fabio Maldonado at UFC 153 carrying on before the doctors stoppage even though Maldonado was taking a brutal beating and was on wobbly legs in the first round.

  2. Just been watching GSP vs Koscheck 2 from UFC 124. Not a classic or anything by any means but I found it surprisingly enjoyable. The crowd made it feel huge as well which always helps. Better fight than I remembered.

Anyway, the reason I bring it up is this....after 3 rounds of GSP battering Kos' eye shut with jabs and left hooks, the doctor takes a good look at the eye before round 4. Joe Rogan goes "Get that dude out of there, he's fine", the doc does the old fingers test and Rogan says "Oh no, get out of there dude". Despite Koscheck clearly being unable to see from the eye they let him continue to which Rogan says "Yeah, Herb Dean knows what's up".

Forward no more than a minute later...GSP has Koscheck on the fence and knees him in the swollen shut eye. Rogan goes "He kneed him in that eye. That eye is JACKED. He can't see those knees coming".

    Ridiculous.

Fight needed to be stopped earlier but I haven't watched it since it occured.

  3. Rockstar Confirms Grand Theft Auto V for Spring 2013Pre-orders start next week.Rockstar has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V is coming in Spring 2013. The window will mark the worldwide release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, according to Rockstar, with no mention of other platforms. While the release window was already leaked by promotional posters and retailer listings, Rockstar has now confirmed the timing and revealed that pre-orders will begin on November 5th at all retailers.Grand Theft Auto V will be set in Los Santos, and Rockstar calls it

  4. Similarly, I've thought about doing Twat Tweets - but I'm not sure how many of the current list even have Twitter, let alone write anything on it that's usable.

I've probably shared this with you before, but here's a tweet from someone from last years list. I hope he features again this year, fucking inbred bellend.

"WTF is wiv da weather? Its snowin n fukin sunny at tha same tym LOL"

    I'll have a guess, Dappy.

  5. Yeah the quotes thing breaks up the fights well. But it got to the point with Diaz in the later posts where there was so much stuff going on outside the cage and quotes I wanted to include that the posts went on longer than I planned.

Most people were saying to do a Hendo one next so maybe that. I want to go through the careers of Shogun and Big Nog as well though so I don't know.

Big Nog or Hendo would be my first choice out of those, then Shogun. I enjoy reading your career posts.

  6. Save me a pillow for the the Affleck love-in. As Gladders has said, his performance in Changing Lanes is brilliant. Both he and Jackson were incredible in that film and Affleck more than held his own opposite someone you'd have expected to to steal every scene. From the moment he makes the snide call to Jackson, his performance just keeps on getting better.

Direction-wise, Gone Baby Gone is stunning and his kid brother puts in a great turn as the main lead.

Haven't watched Gone Baby Gone and The Town in ages. Having said that, I'd rank them:

    1. Gone Baby Gone

    2. Argo

    3. The Town

  7. Argo, was the last film I saw at the cinema. Directed by Ben Affleck (I've always enjoyed his directing more than his acting) I thought it was really good. Without going into the politics of what actually happened (cause it's based on a true story) I found the film to be pretty gripping, it actually made me cry at one point too. The film is about the American Embassy in Iran being invaded by Iranian revolutionaries and Americans were taken hostage. If you'd like to know more about what the film is about you can read about it by searching "Canadian Caper" on Google or Wiki etc. The cast was pretty amazing too. Bryant Cranston, Alan Arkin and John Goodman are in it to name a few. There's been Oscar buzz surrounding this film, I can see why.

Couldn't agree more, certainly more humour in the film than you'd imagine for this type of story. Affleck has really done a good job in directing this, really gripping from start to end (more so than Taken 2).

I agree with both of you. Really enjoyed Argo.

  8. Alright, wind your neck in!

I'll sort mine out as soon as I get a sec; hopefully Saturday morning or Sunday night. I don't work well under pressure, mind.

    Sorry Frankie :( thanks though!

With just under four days left of voting, we now have a clear front runner for the #1 slot, and a fairly stable top 3, but there's everything to play for in the rest of the list. Every vote counts!

I'm guessing the front runner for the top spot is John Terry.

  9. still to watch:

Batman - Mask of the Phatasm

Batman & Mr Freeze - SubZero

    Batman: Year One

Batman - Mystery Of the Batwoman

You're in for a treat. mask Of The Phatasm is so goddamn good.

I found Year One incredibly underwhelming though.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is a must see. There's one scene in it which is one of the best from any Batman media.

Have got The Dark Knight Returns - Part 1 to watch, but I'm currently making my way through Season 2 of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and want to see to the end of that first.

It's a brilliant little series, can't see why Series 1 is being shown at 7:00am Saturdays on CITV, I think there is a wider audience for it, of an older age group, at a different time.

Anyone know when we may get to see series three in the UK?

There isn't going to be one, it got cancelled to be replaced by Avengers Assemble.

I'll have a think about the best Batman movies and try to come up with a top ten of my own.

  10. The NJPW PPV is indeed cracking. Meltzer was saying that NJPW are planning on doing more iPPVs in the future, which Meltzer creamed himself over. He's convinced Tanahashi is the best in the World too; as Ian stated, he 's always looked the business.

I still prefer Cena/Lesnar as MOTY though.

Is there anyway you can get NJPW events with English commentary? I always enjoy watching the matches but the commentary annoys me.

It's just something you have to deal with unfortunately. You get used to it after a while.

    It's never bothered me.
