I legit had fun watching all of Bastion Booger's matches. I also loved Undertaker vs Giant Gonzeles at Wrestlemania 9. That match is quite iconic for me
-
Beth Phoenix is definitely not an icon. All I remember her from is that comedy angle with Santino. Its like all the credit and more that should be given to Chyna and her contribution has all been given to Beth Phoenix

Wow that was pathetic. Should have left it with him riding his bike into the unknown. He's never going away anyway, he will be back with Ted Dibiase and Sgt Slaughter at the next reunion show.Â
Not a single fan in sight in the arena but he couldnt speak becuase all those fans not in attendance wouldnt let him talk. It just made him look silly. Plus why the fuck was Savio Vega, Foley etc even there? They could have atleast had them clapping him on from ringside like lumberjacks just so they did something instead of just hugging themselves.
One other touch they could have done was have Ted Dibiase introduce him again for the "last time" instead of Vince just for the story coming 360

That's Booker between Savio and Undertaker. They probably felt bad asking him to get out the BSK shot haha.

I think this is the real retirement. He's been all over the media this past week talking about his farewell on sunday. You can even see it in his face in all his interviews that he knows its over now and is at peace with it. He also has all the living members of BSK apart of his big day. (It's funny that back in 95 I always thought Undertaker's Survivor Series team was abit random as I didnt know they were all his real life best friends). Its the perfect ending with it being 30 years to the day he debuted on tv 22/11/90 - 22/11/20.

Personally I'd be on to Marty Jannetty already to see does he fancy reprising his role as 'Taker's body double for a final ascension.Â
That wasn't Marty

He filmed Spiderman early part of 2001 so it was over 3 years difference. He was probably loving life chilling on the beach as WCW was over and he wasn't going back to WWF so he wasn't pumping iron like he would have if he was still on the scene

I wanna say it's a photo from the shoot for the Slam Jam single, possibly the intended cover/fold out poster. It's always stuck in my head that Savage was in the short-lived Ultimate Maniacs gear on the actual cover/poster despite any Warrior involvement being scrubbed before it came out.
It would blow my mind if their is a cut of Slam Jam with Ultimate Warrior on it. I've always thought about that when I see this photo. I know they cut out both of Bulldog's "verses" completely from the airing of the music video at one point too and that version is on YouTube. Infact there was no in studio booth scenes of Davey like there was of the other 3 in the original video so I'm assuming they did film Davey but wanted to use minimal Davey footage and maybe scrapped Warrior altogether?

It's The Rock. Vince would let him sleep with Linda.
Yeah ofcourse but but deep down its probably eating him alive knowing The Rock will make the XFL what he couldnt.

Wonder how Vince feels about his ex employee owning his old company

Owen Harts supposed face turn on his return post Montreal. Just because he didn't like Michaels and DX. They didn't fully turn him and he was stuck in this middle ground.Â
Owen returning as The Black Hart was amazing! I was so behind him. Just check out the pop he gets at Royal Rumble 98. They really screwed him over by not having a feud with Michaels but instead Shawn's lackey and then lost the feud. Owen was red hot after Montreal.
I agree with those about Tatanka. It came from no where and wasnt needed at all. It ruined Tatanka's career and kind of ruined Lex Luger too in the WWF.

Mr Perfect was great. He definitely suited being WWF champion after after Hulk and warrior left. If he stuck around in 93 I can see him being champion sometime in 94.Â
-
One of the biggest pops ever was when Virgil beat DiBiase at Summerslam 91 in MSG. Crowd went nuts!
-
Gerald Brisco is also released. That's a shocking one hes been there since 1984! That's 36 years!
-
I can actually understand what he means by saying dumping anyone who's been there for over 7 years and aren't doing much. There was a time pre 15 years ago that when they started to get stale they were pretty much gone and some returned. For example Piper came in I think in around '84, he left in '87 and returned in '89 till 1992. Davey boy was about from 85-88 and then returned in 1990-1992 and back in 1994-1997 and so on. Tatanka was only about for 4 years and fans still have fond memories of his run. WWF was like a revolving door which made things fresh all the time. These days they just hoard whoever they sign for years and years no matter how shit they are.

What happened with Sid after WrestleMania 8?
According to Sid in every shoot interview he has said he asked for his release at Royal Rumble 92 after the way Hogan behaved backstage. Vince then requested Sid to atleast stay till Wrestlemania 8 and also do the European tour.

Some of these names released would make nice additions to NWA Powerrr
-
You can start a whole new promotion with the amount of releases

Wow Mike Chioda has been there forever

Bart looks (and sounds) like a hard old bastard you wouldn't want to fuck with these days. Is he much older than Billy? Forgot how deadly that left looked. Fuck being on the end of that.Â
Bart is is actually a month younger than Billy but in "storyline" was meant to be the older brother

I dunno if anyone else remembers when Bart got awarded his golden gloves for winning but they had JR do it halfway through an episode of Shotgun. So yeah. He was fucked from the WWFs point of view from the outset.Â
I remember that. Bart got a huge ovation from that live crowd. And i remember Jim Ross being a miserable fuck doing that presentation.
-
I remember when Bart won the brawl for all I thought he was going to be a breakout star and I was happy for him becuase I always likes Bart. I feel so bad for Bart, instead of being rewarded they sent him home. Are they so thick that they had nothing for him? He just knocked everyone out in the tournament and people were getting behind him surely a new bad ass character was already made for them right in the middle of the Attitude era. All the plans they had for Dr.Death could have been set for Bart instead. It's so sad that if they dont see you as a star then they will make sure they are right.
I personally used to really enjoy the Brawl for all every week but I understand why they didnt do it again becuase of the legit injuries.

How weird is it seeing Undertaker talk about a Diva's finishing move from 10 years ago in his promo. With that said I can totally expect Glenn and Michelle to turn up and help Mark.

Can you imagine Gorilla Monsoon screaming "This is a Wrestlemania moment" during Macho Man and Elizabeth reuniting or Hulk slamming Andre. They become moments automatically if they mean something. But when they keep saying it like they have for the past 20 years then the moment does not feel like a genuine one.
