  1. Word on the street and when I say street I mean internet news site lordsofpain.net,

    - There has been some discussion about having WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler wrestle a match at WrestleMania 28.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph - STOP THE PAIN!!

Yes, lets stop the pain of... what? Him being a great wrestler still? So long as he isn't booked terribly, like at 27, he's give you a fine match.

  2. Just listening to Johnny Saint on Colt Cabana's podcast - which UK show did they wrestle on, was it any good and can someone point me in the direction of where to get the match if it was filmed?

It as filmed at a premier promotions show in 2004- october november time in potters bar at the Wyllots centre. I was in attendance and funnily enough complimented John Freemantle again recently on that show.

The filming was done for UK round up on the wrestling channel.

The rest of the card was Robbie Brookside Vs Dave Taylor, Paul Birchall Vs Kendo Ka Shin and Andy Simmons Vs Phil Powers.

One of my favorite shows of all time. I would imagine if you had the time to track it down there is a DVD somewhere

It was a very good show, but you're misremembering an important part - Cabana wrestled Johnnt Kidd on that show, not Johnny Saint. The Saint/Cabana match happened on a 1PW show, but I'm not sure of which one.

  3. I'd imagine it was the WWF that time in 1998 when they brought Mabel back for a night and did a king of kings 4-way, and Jerry Lawler was there.

When was the four way? I only remember Mabel losing quickly to Ken Shamrock during 1998.

  4. I kind of suspected they are trying to get a new TV deal for it, and want the new season to begin when the TV deal begins and are waiting, and one week they'll just suddenly announce next week is the season finale, but goodness knows. Saying it's terrible and dreading sitting through it live though....come on, it's a good show for what it is isn't it? Usually provides some good matches, surely going to see WWE live that's the least you can ask for.

It's basically ECW but even worse, and ECW was a bit of a slog to sit through.

Depends from what time frame, it was often easily the best TV show of the week. 2009 ECW was a lot of fun, whilst Raw was absolutely terrible.

  5. Homer: Question two. Who was your last employer?

Shary: Lord and Lady Huffington of Sussex.

Homer: [whispering] Marge, do we know them?

    Marge: No.

Homer: Come on! Isn't he the guy I bowl with? The black guy.

    Marge: That's Carl.

Homer: Oh yeah! [back to Shary] So! You worked for Carl, eh?

  6. Patty: I can't believe Aunt Gladys is really gone.Selma: Her legend will live forever.Homer's brain: Yeah, the legend of the dog-faced woman.Homer (aloud): Legend of the dog-faced woman! Oh, that's good!

That one's fantastic, as is the Duff Gardens one. Man, when Simpsons was on point, it was just the best show going.
