Recently I've been up and down, instead of just completely down. Superbowl weekend I got all my Sunday bets up (two singles on the Super Bowl, and a footy treble) but didn't get anything up on the Saturday.
Â
Last weekend I had a few bets on the Saturday 3pm games and got hammered in 3 of the bets, in the other 4 way Liverpool let me down with that dopey draw against Wigan. I should have left it there, but me and a mate went in and picked a treble for the late games. Had Valencia 5/2, Spurs 17/10, and Dortmund 8/13. Valencia scored to win 2-1 in the 86th. Spurs came back from 1 down to win, and Dortmund scored on the 86th minute. Unfortunately they then conceded again on the 89th. So this weekend with it being the FA cup I decided I wouldn't bother, and thank god for that. I'd have had no hope of getting it right today. I avoided placing a bet on Wednesday as well, quite happily, as I would have done an Barca/Roma double. Which would have went down in flames. I may do one this week, but the games could be dodgy enough.

I still think it's a cert to simply be Taker, but I can see how the closeup can look like Michaels. Whatever way you look at it though, it seems much less likely that we'll be getting Undertaker v Barrett and HHH v Sheamus than it did one month ago, and thank god for that if it's the case.
-
Surely, if they are going to run with HHH v Taker, with it being HHH's possible retirement, they couldn't just do 5 weeks build up could they? Even the Michaels/Taker re-match last year had several monthss of build up from the slammys onwards.
Â
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see HHH v Taker more than anything else that seems to be in the running for this year's Mania, but if they seriously wanted to do it right then HHH should have been back a month ago. But then I suppose they didn't want him to lose steam by the time Taker returned, and a double return the night after the chamber would be huge. It just seems like such a rush.

The Observer are saying that these videos were made specifically for The Undertaker & that Sting coming in would be unlikely. He's available, but at the end of the day, if the vieos have been made for Taker, I wouldn't be holding my breath on seeing Sting. I'm pretty disappointed by that, as it was Sting I thought of first when I saw the videos. If I'd thought of Taker first then maybe I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

Cheers man. Yeah I'd imagine it would be a pretty good read.

I heard Goldust has a book coming out. Anybody have any idea when?

Croatia drawing 0-0 cost me a small bet. Dickheads. Aw well, the return of interesting football at the weekend will hopefully bring with it some nice betting opportunities. I reckon Man U are going to be a good price away to Everton, but Everton are going to be desperate for a win.

Anyone planning to have a punt this weekend? I'm looking at a possible acca of Man City 4/11, Leeds 8/13, Burnley 8/13 and Swansea 4/5. I'd imagine Arsenal will beat Sunderland, but they represent no value at 2/5. I'm also staying away from the Man U v Liverpool game, as I don't want to jinx us, it's bad enough having Rio and Vidic out without me screwing them up.
