  1. Well i did try & tell you all! This guy is the real deal! Bye bye Fraudley can't really say you will be missed

Tonight it was Audley, he was knocked out by a world quality shot that would have ended ANYONE! Also, listen to Fury being interviewed between rounds of the DeGale fight. OK, he comes across as a tool but I think the next 6-9 months will build up to a Fury/Price sell out event in 2013.
  2. Wow....

I can't even blame Harrison for that one. Price was in and anhiliated Audley but shows yet again that he has no chin whatsoever! They are talking Chisora if he gets his license or Skelton in December. Would prefer to see Chisora as I think he would genuinely test him.

  3. I remember being glad Lewis lost the Rahman. As I remember it, about 5 seconds before he got knocked on his arse, Lewis gives this smug sneer with complete disdain to the man in front of him. His training going in to the fight has been not great either as he was in a Hollywood movie and was doing premieres etc instead of putting the hours on.

For his legacy, that defeat was the best thing that happened to him.

  4. I can't agree on the Bunce front. I like that. Their relaxed but knowledgable comments break up the fights nicely. What pissed me off with the american commentary last night, the thing I like about Rawling is he knows when to talk and when to be quiet for a few seconds and let the action speak for itself. The commentary last night was like they could not allow even 1 second of dead air so they kept repeating stuff over and over just for the sake of it.

Next week is the big one of 2012 for me. Burns Vs Mitchell is going to be a war and I can't wait! Oh, no one has said, the Sprott incident. Any view/opinions on that? I feel kinda sorry for him, that ref took the ropes worse that Kelly Kelly and the dive off the ropes is up there with Alcock!

  5. So much for me predicting Alcine would give Macklin a tough fight. Chuffed for Macklin though. A fellow Brummie/Paddy winning in that fashion, in round 1 over a tough fighter was great to see.

Not kidding. Alcine just looked disinterested from the start in my opinion. Good finish by Macklin and looking forward to seeing the next step from here.

Full fight is HERE for those interested.

  6. You're thinking of Frank Buglioni mate. He looked great didn't he. He's 6-0 with 4 KOs now. Its early days obviously but I like him. Saunders had a great showing as well.

Yeah there's been a couple of dodgy incidents involving Chavez Jr and his piss. He did look very gaunt at the weigh in. I'm expecting a really good fight tonight though. I've always liked Martinez to win, if Chavez pulls it off though it will shut the doubters up and be a bit of a starmaking fight for him. Even if he loses but looks good in defeat he'll probably get more respect.

The build up has been top drawer I think. The Face Off and 24/7 were all excellent and in large part that's down to Chavez I reckon. The stuff about him and his dad has been interesting to watch. He's certainly a bit of a cocky fucker but I don't mind him. I'm a big fan of his dad so I'd like to see him do well in his own right. Just think Martinez will prove too much for him tonight but we'll see.

I'm going Martinez by 10th round TKO.

Yup, definetely Frank. The Boxnation guys love him and so do promoters as he is a guaranteed ticket seller due to his travelling fan base. BJ was actually talking about it last week on Buncies show how they had 3 or 4 real ticket sellers on there making for a hot crowd. Again, BJ looked the absoloute tits. The more I see, the more I like and definetely my fave of the 2008 Olympic pros.

Looking forward to tonights action. How do people think Macklin will do?

  7. Of the above I'm really looking forward to Donaire/Nishioka,

\glad I am not the only one. Everyone seems to be writing off Nishioka because of his age. How do you see this going. I think Donaire could be a little over confident myself.

  8. Second Floor Violence Death Match

I'm a BJPW mark and this is one of my favourite shows. Especailly when it goes all pantomime with Pondo getting the crowd to keep shouting 'IT'S HIDO'S HOUSE!'

For those interested, the entire match is here.

I am also intrigued in that Ibushi set. I have one of the Supermarket shows including his moonsault off the coke machine and the guitar playing and sing-a-long on the escelator.

  9. Is that because of Brundles commentary?

As far as I am aware. The race footage is the same for all broadcasters. Sky obviously have the advantage with showing every race live.

Thanks for the link. Cool highlights being shown at the moment. People should check it out. Except you can't on an IPad. Bloody idiotic selfish rotten Apple!

I do prefer Brundles commentary without a doubt but it is more I can't stand Gary Anderson. Something about his voice and delivery is like chalk on a blackboard.

  10. Johnny Herbert is another analyst who I never expected to be any good at the job, and his commentary in FP3 was informative and entertaining.

I might be the only one here but does anyone else think that Damon Hill just spends the entire show trying to contradicte and belittle Herbert in pretty much everything he says? As much as I love Jake, Jordan & Square Jaw and will sit through and enjoy their entire pre-show, when it comes to the green light I watch it on Sky.

  11. Is there any biog that gives a real view of what it was like was a gaijin in Japan? Brets book touches on it, I was disappointed with the Foley books in this regard and not read the Jericho book yet. I see Kirschner has done a biography recentley. Anyone read that? And more to the point, would you recommend it?

  12. What an exciting fight that was!

SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

When Groves got that cut I thought it was all over and would be stopped but what a knockdown. Thank god the corner threw the towel in.

The question is, what now for the lad?

  13. After seeing her last night, I have to give it to Dame Evelyn Glennie. It may have just have been a one off but she looked like Storm from the X-Men meets Sue Perkins... and I approve of that look!
