This is the only category he was shortlisted for, which is a damn shame because 2017 was an incredible year for him. His character work's never been better, his promos were effective, and I loved how he changed up his ring style to suit his new persona. He carried the entire Cruiserweight division and 205 Live for most of the year. I blame Enzo Amore for driving away the true King of the Cruiserweights, and I very much hope he comes back soon. bigfoote Posted January 2, 2018 Share Posted January 2, 2018 My first instinct was Miz. But on reflection, he's just been too good and transcended his heel acts. The stuff with Bryan and Corbin was fresh, but (especially with Corbin) not particularly heelish. So after consideration, it's the King of the Cruiserweights for me.
