The candidates: AJ Styles - started and ended the year as WWE Champion Braun Strowman - became a full-blown main eventer Kazuchika Okada - had a six star match... Kenny Omega - ... with this guy! Pete Dunne - a breakout star of the WWE UK division Roman Reigns - beat the Undertaker in the Mania main event
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted January 2, 2018 Author Awards Moderator Posted January 2, 2018 I voted Styles. Pete Dunne was the guy I looked forward to seeing every time he appeared, but Styles was the man. From the Rumble match with Cena to the Survivors match with Brock, he made a big match great. He had my favourite match of WM33 against Shane McMahon. He made Jinder look more legit than anyone else was able to. And even when he wasn't in the main event on SmackDown he was the guy they relied on to keep things interesting - see also his appearance on TLC. And this was the year I finally got to see him wrestle live. So it's AJ for me.
Otto Dem Wanz Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Feel privileged to have, like you HG, seen AJ wrestle live for the first time in a year when he's been so consistently brilliant. Needs a better haircut though
