Danny Collins bt Martin Stone 2-1 in best of 3 falls contest.

In amongst a very enjoyable show Saturday night, this was a real cracker of a contest, an excellent mix of traditional British style with a smattering of some 'contemporary' stuff (3 big lariats from Stone which earned his pinfall, for example). First time seeing Stone since his return from the US, and he definitely seems to have returned a much-improved wrestler in the traditional style, presumably due to having had time to really work on his craft & working with trainers the likes of Brookside & Regal.

Having watched wrestling for as long as I have, it's rare to come across something you've never seen before, but Aaron Sharp's inverted cross-armbreaker (the opponent lies face down, he scissors the arm & pushes away rather than pulls towards to extend the elbow) was something I don't recall ever having seen.

My first WAW show for about 18 months, I'll hope not to leave it that long next time.
