Bubble Ray Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 UKFF responding to the letter in PowerSlam. Load of over opinionated, self righteous and pompous wankers moaning about being called as such and expressing them in such a way that proved that chap right. Chatra's heel turn and feud with Lister. Great stuff.
DJ Stevie C Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 All the threads are class.Anarchy Pro Wrestling Owner Revealed: Had me laughing out loud.Angle Vs Eddie: Great discussion.Chris Benoit Thread: Horiffic and genuine grief along with some complete bastards taking the mick... does that thread have the most suspensions ever in it?The UKFF: How bitter mongs do things right (rather than what Sabu Mark did)...Went for the Benoit thread.
The Cum Doctor Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 I'll probably still go back to the UKFF thread in a while and have a laugh at the ridiculous stuff from Chatra and the surprising bait taking from Lister.
hitman89762000 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 (edited) they actually posted a response to the original guys complaint about UKFF in this months powerslam didnt they?im gonna go for the ukff thread Edited January 7, 2008 by hitman89762000
Paid Members Duke Posted January 7, 2008 Paid Members Posted January 7, 2008 (edited) Most memorable? When I opened the thread, before seeing the nominations all I said was "Has to be Benoit". That's where I heard the news and saw the story unfold. That's where the whole thing unravelled Edited January 7, 2008 by Zing
FireBrand Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Well Benoit thread for all the wrong reasons,to be honest I would rather it be a year when APW thread one because of stupidity of Sprules rather than the death of an entire family.
klown Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Reading back through that Benoit thread really does show emotions changing on a grand scale, not the easiest of reads, but im still going with it for this one.
frank Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Well nearly 50% of the votes, I guess the Benoit's didn't die in vain.
Paid Members ShortOrderCook Posted January 9, 2008 Paid Members Posted January 9, 2008 So who are the other two chumps who voted for Angle/Eddie?The Benoit thread is really the most memorable thread, based purely on the fact it centers around the most memorable wrestler/wrestling related event of the past year.Still a shame more wrestling-based discussion threads got overlooked. Because, despite the general consensus that the discussion on this board lacks the quality of previous years, there was actually plenty of enjoyable threads last year generating great discussion, it's just perhaps not as frequent.Out of interest, as there's only a few choices, did many (if any) other threads even get nominated?
TheBigBoot Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I agree: I thought there had been a fair bit of wrestling discussion actually, not noticeably worse than last year anyway. Having said that I went with the Benoit thread as the "most memorable" although not the easiest to read. It was memorable for checking back to see how the news of the story developed with lots of sub-discussions along the way. Some good points, some stupid points and just the depressing nature of the whole situation means that for better or for worse it's the thread I'll remember best. It's probably one of the most memorable threads the whole time I've been on here actually. The closest comparison (and even then it's not that close) in terms of seeing people's opinions over the course of an epic thread is the Feinstein one in UKFF Gold which also wasn't that easy to read and had it's share of good points and downright stupidity. They were more 'news' threads that lead to a few discussions rather than actual discussion threads.
