  1. Just got this email from a bloke on Gumtree regarding a phone I'm selling:

    Hello

thanks for your response, i am ok with the price, i may not come over

because of my job I work in airport and I have made

promise about this item. please let me know your payment method

because i can only pay you with pay-pal now and I will add additional

  2. Didn't the Eliminators never get on when they were teaming too? I find it fascinating how some guys, who have such a passionate disliking of each other can work so well together in a team or against each other in a match. Sometimes it can kind of make sense due to the added genuine tension, animosity, etc with regard being opponents, but it's still sometimes quite remarkable and also in some cases shows a tremendous level of professionalism.

From what I remember, from the Observer's obituary on Kronus, Saturn had lied had like fuck to Heyman to get them into ECW and was actually training Kronus throughout their run. Kronus himself was basically an idiot savant who, despite having had barely any training at all, could copy pretty much anything he saw which is why he was able to do such amazing moves for a guy his size.

I don't think it was a case of them never getting on as much as Saturn growing tired of having to carry Kronus and have to keep forcing him to go to the gym etc, after they were both already established.

  3. Didnt they grass someone up in real life and left the business for a period? I remember something was fishy about their exit from ECW. Dont know if thats why they left ECW, but definitely something drug-related where they were recieving threats on their life happened around this period.

I'm pretty sure they got done for selling steroids which is why ECW stopped using them and I *think* caused WCW to pull an offer for them.

Dunno about them grassing anybody up but given that they didn't go to jail, it's more than likely.

  4. I've just seen in the FSM thread that John Morrison has been released. I've completely missed any mention of this, is there any sort of story to it?

Not really. His contract expired and he didn't want to sign a new one. Apparently he's asking for Fuck Off Money to do Indy shows so it might just be a case of him being burned out and wanting some time off before he goes back to WWE/goes to TNA.

  5. How many wrestlers who aren't former "WWE guys/girls" have made the jump from TNA to WWE?

The only one i can think of is Monty Brown but i'm sure there must be someone else.

Kazarian jumped to WWE and then back again. The Gymini were in TNA as the Johnsons early on. Also Lance Hoyt/Vance Archer made the jump as well.

After that it depends if you count people that only made as far as developmental, had made their names somewhere else before TNA (like Kid Kash or Juventud.)

  6. I've said this before but WWE doesn't actually have "no compete clauses" exactly. It's actually just a clause that gives them the right to terminate a contract at any time as long as they give ninety days notice. Paul Bearer posted the exact wording from his contract a couple of firings ago.

Ian's right though. It was something that was brought in during the Monday Night Wars so I doubt it had anything to do with the Steiners working for ECW. I DO have a dim memory of reading somewhere that they worked for ECW while they were waiting for their full, legal release from their WWF contracts but I'm not totally certain.

  7. What about outside fake angles have they ever used the same name twice?

Well, Max Moon and Smash (and Doink for that matter) were both not angles but if you mean completely different characters with the same name then the only one I can think of is MVP.

  8. Have WWE ever given two wrestlers the same name bcause they owned the copyright for the name?

Have they ever reused a name after a wrestler has left the company you mean?

Sure. Off the top of my head they did it with Razor Ramon, Diesel, Max Moon, Demolition Smash and probably a few others as well.

  9. Would Kurt Angle himself fall into that class?. I have no idea how WWE treats the title lineages and that, but wouldn't Kurt be missing a tag belt?. Like the old Raw tag belt, or pre brand-slit tag belt?. As it is, I'd say he only won half an "undisputed" tag title.

The original Tag Belts have been retired now though. Officially WWE recognises The Hart Dynasty as the last Champions so Angle would count.

In saying that, WWE also have the U.S Title lineage dating back to 1975 which probably opens up a few more contenders.

  10. I'm presuming as he said 'i'm sorry but I have to do this' as well as 'i need to block the signal to you', the ganger Amy was going to be used to track the Doctors movements and relay messages/information (willingly or otherwise) to those who created her; and, whether he liked it or not, she had to go else he couldn't save the real Amy.

Aaaah. Cheers for that. I had a feeling I was missing something. Obviously, I was.

  11. Good episode but the ending was a bit weird.

The reveal that Amy was a ganger was cool but having the Doctor spend the two parter arguing that the gangers were living creatures that should be able to co-exist with their human counterparts, and then just "decommission" her like he was turning off a light felt a bit off. For starters, he could've used the connection between the two to find the real Amy surely?

Interesting twist none the less though.

  12. What was the story behind WWE losing the master tape of one of the episodes of Nitro a few years ago?

I don't know if they've actually lost anything but, from what I've read, the WCW tape library is so unorganised that they don't really know where anything is. According to PWinsider, they're actually paying people to go through all the tapes and sort it out.

  13. Voting for dillkid is pointless

Why? I know you can't dish out a prize to him, but that's a new thing anyway. He was here for enough of the year constantly ignoring the good advice given to him.

Because, if he wins, it means that one of the other dolts escapes a prize. If he is the Phenom then he should be banned again anyway, whether his other account wins Dolt of the Year or not.

  14. Dollhouse is getting ridiculously good now that it's already been cancelled.

I've got no sympathy for Joss Whedon though. He knew the show was on thin ice but the season still started with a bunch of stand alone episodes that were pretty much irrelevant to the over all plot. If they'd cut even just a few of those and got to this good shit when it actually mattered, it might have had a chance of being on next year.

The guy that plays Victor is just awesome though. Hopefully he's in more things after Dollhouse is done.

  15. S.Darko.

I knew it was going to be bad but that was absolutely terrible. It's like the filmmakers decided that since Donnie Darko was complex and a bit confusing, they didn't have to bother about pesky little things like "structure" and "logic". Not to mention "realistic dialogue".

    Best bit:

Midway through, Sam dies under the most stupidest of circumstances and we get what feels like half an hour of her friend deciding to reverse time to bring her back. Made absolutely no sense and had no relevence to the rest of the film except to make the ending, where Sam dies again and someone else reverses time completely redundant. It's like they realized the film wasn't long enough so just stuck the most random plot twist they could think of in there.

I can usually get a laugh out of bad movies but this was too much for even me.

  16. People seem to always say Heroes was brilliant in it's first season but has rapidly gone downhill but that confuses me.

Heroes season 1 was FUCKING SHIT...I honestly can't beleive it's got worse since then.

    Oh believe it.

At least in series 1 they had something resembling a structure (largely because they were stealing from other sources, I suppose) and the characters all acted somewhat consistantly.

Now? It's like it's written by the Family Guy Manitees.

    Examples below.

Despite spending most of the last season without them, Hiro found out in the Finale that HIS POWERS ARE KILLING HIM. Seriously, he had them back for like two weeks and now they're killing him. Also Parkman spent the whole season convinced he and Daphne were destined to be together. A week after she died, he was trying to get back with his ex-wife. He's a good guy, apparently.

While it is funny, you do have to ignore the fact that it's been renewed for another season while far superior shows like Chuck, Dollhouse, Reaper and The Sarah Connor Chronicles are either on the bubble or just flat out done.

I'll be sad to see any of those shows go.

  17. From PWInsider"According to Michael Benoit, Chris' father, tests conducted by Julian Bailes of the Sports Legacy Institute show that Benoit's brain was so severely damaged it resembled that of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient. Bailes and his research team say that this damage was the result of a lifetime of chronic concussions and head trauma suffered while Benoit was in the wrestling ring. Benoit was famous for his flying headbutt, which put stress on his brain every time he did it. It's now entirely possible that we know why he committed the acts."

  18. as long as Benoit died last surely she cant have a claim to it. People like that really annoy me, something like this happened in my family and i havent spoken to my brother since the incident, grrrr really makes my blood boil, people just out for themselves, fook everyone else, damn selfish people!!!!!

I can't remember where I read it but according to the law in Georgia, Benoit will automatically be considered to have died first even though he didn't. The idea, I guess being to stop murderers (or their heirs) profiting from their crimes. So with Chris being "dead" the estate would go to Nancy. If she died before Daniel then it would go to him, and then onto his half brother and sister. If Daniel died first it would stay with Nancy and, thus, go to her Parents. While I don't necessarilly agree with what Nancy's family is doing, I do think you are being a bit harsh on them. They have not only lost their Daughter and Grandson under the most appalling circumstances but it's also turned into a massive media story, making it nearly impossible for them to deal with their loss in peace.I don't think their lawsuit will help matters (particularly since it seems clear that Nancy was killed first) but, I've got nothing but sympathy for them, giving what they've been through.
It was reported that he changed his will to that the beneficiaries became his other kids, if that's the case the money wouldn't have gone to Nancy which ever order they died in. Either way, I don't see why her family feels they are more entitled to his money than his children are. Usually when people do this that have at least some sort of grounds for claim.
The bit in bold may not be quite accurate. It all depends on just how strict Georgia's "Slayer Statute" is. It's possible that the law would consider not only Benoit as deceased pre-murder spree but his older children as well. Where his money would go in those circumstances is for the lawyers to argue about.I'm not trying to defend what Nancy's family are doing, just saying that they've gone through an absolutely hellish time and may be acting out of grief and anger rather than just greed.

  20. Found this on Ebay today http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Chris-Benoit-Commemo...1QQcmdZViewItemMay be offensive to some people so don't look if you think you may be offended. Personally I think it's sick and I was quite shocked. Does anyone know ebay's policy on this type of thing?

"eBay may also, in its discretion and out of respect for the families of murder victims, remove listings of items closely associated with individuals notorious for committing murderous acts within the last 100 years, such as personal belongings of such criminals, letters or artwork created by such criminals, or novelty items that bear the name or image of the criminal."Definitely against the rules.
What was the item? It's been removed.
A T-Shirt with a picture of Chris looking at Daniel on the front with the slogan "Happy Families" and something along the lines "I bet he's thinking "You're fucking dead" on the back.Nice that some people find the brutal murder of a child to be so amusing.

  22. Anyway on topic WWE doesn't push guys on size then explain to me Khali, Snitsky,Big show? They all were there because of their size only. The biggest guy in ECW was Sal E. who wasn't pushed at all. And wasn't Raven wanted by WWE as Johhny Polo but he left them just like Douglas left WCW? People could get over but WWE couldn't book them properly. In theory signing Paul Heyman would of been a lot easier.

Ironically, the WWF wanted Raven but only as a manager and producer because they thought he was too small to be a wrestler.
