  1. I'm sure that'll happen at some point soon, especially if Richards is off at the end of the year.

  3. I'm slightly annoyed at ROH faffing with the Bluegrass Brawl DVD, means I won't get to see DBD 8 until early October....

They were allowing people to swap dvds in order to get orders out. Ive decided to give this show a miss anyway and am waiting for the next two pre-orders.

  4. With the 900th Raw coming up I was wondering who has appeared on the most episodes since the debut in 1993, off the top of my head i'd imagine it'd be Jerry Lawler because hes been on pretty much every week since the debut except for his year long departure over the Kat's firing. I think Vince would be up there, but hes taken a good few on screen breaks over the years since stopping commentating.

Lawler would be good bet. Id also bet Triple H has wrestled on more episodes of Raw than anyone else.

  5. Having just watched Death Before Dishonor 8, Im so glad the Briscoes are sticking around, their match with the KOW was one of the most enjoyable bouts Ive seen this year.

The main event is cracking also, but I still wish they'd switch the titles what with the build up and now with Tyler leaving it seemed a perfect time to give Davey the belt.

The DBD dvd is worth picking up just for the two title matches, plus as a bonus there is Buffalo Stampede 2 from the night before.

  6. They did their best with Brown, but the fact that he couldn't actually wrestle was somewhat of a handicap.

The Briscoes resigning is a bad thing to be honest. They've pretty much done everything there is to do in ROH, and short of splitting the team up they can only get staler surely?

As a tag they have gone stale (if Benjamin/Haas stick around it might liven things up), but I think Jay has a lot to offer as a singles wrestler.

As a fan its reassuring to see someone semi-decent re-sign.

  7. Interesting to see what Delirious can do and which guys he will bring in. 2010 has been a very good year for ROH (admittedly Im only upto BFSE2 in April) so I am surprised Pearce has gone, Ive read that it was to do with who would become the next champion.

Personally love to see Chris Hero given the ball, plenty of fresh fueds leading ultimately to Hero v Claudio

  8. Iv searched google, but not really had much luck. Could someone point me in the right direction to old Wrestling event posters from the WWF, WCW, ECW, NWA and others.

www.completewwe.com has most (if not all) of the WWE ones

  9. Turning the Tables is absolutely fucking mint. As Lister posts on here, I'm a bit wary of getting stuck up his rim about it, but it really is one of the best wrestling books I've ever read. Probably the best written by somebody not involved properly in wrestling anyway.

This. As an ECW fan back in the day this is far the best book to cover the promotion, Ive actually read it 3-4 times, very easy to read, definately one of the best. Id say this is to ECW is what Bryan Alverez's Death of WCW is to WCW, also check that out to, excellent read.

  10. Ive never had a problem with the stuff Ive gotten from IVP, just the time it takes to get stuff can be a little long, as the guy running it takes too much on.

SlamBamJam is excellent, no faults with the stuff Ive gotten or with the delivery times.

  11. How about Highspots?

service is good but delivery is expensive (yet quick). The exchange rate is crap at the minute. ROHwrestling.com is best bet for stuff from the US when they run their sales, no puro though.

  12. Puro fans, recommend me a site with a good choice of region 0 puro DVDs?

Japan is region 2 too, so you can get them from any official site, or (presumably) amazon.co.jp if you can understand moonspeak.

Original Puro dvds are ridiculously overpriced. For dvdrs try www.ivpvideos.com or www.slambamjam.com Im sure there are a few guys on here who sell them too

  13. When the Outlaws pushed Funk and Foley in the dumpster off the stage on Raw was this unplanned? The commotion over it made it look like it wasn't planned, although at the same time theres the obvious thought that they hyped it to the extent to make it seem real. I mean it was a point in time when they were so desperate for viewers...

it was to build to Mania 14 match they had, I dunno if they were relying on this to get viewers tho especially when they had the whole Tyson-DX-Austin thing going on at the time. (Though they didnt beat Nitro until after Mania 14)

  14. Ric Flair is famous for the many 60 (and 90) minute draws he had in the 1980s. What I am wondering, is how many of these 'hours' were real hours and how many may have been keyfabed? We know the WWF shaves time off Royal Rumble entrants to keep things exciting and I'm sure WCW have in Wargames entrances in the past too. It would have been very easy for Flair and his opponent to have been wrestling for a long time and the ring announcer to start counting down to the time limit with perhaps only 45-50 minutes gone. Unless people in the crowd really kept an eye on their watches, very few people would have been likely to be any the wiser, especially since very few of these matches were recorded.

you answered your own question there. Flair has stated his best matches with Steamboat are the ones that were never recorded, again we will never know.

  15. Whatever became of Outcast Video and Strong Style Tapes?

I used to buy from Outcast Video all the time, collecting those 50p tokens. The guys that ran the place stopped selling bootlegged stuff and concentrated on original dvds and then stopped altogether after a while, dont know why. They were top sellers, pretty cheap and introduced me to ROH and then PWG. Im sure they were also the first to stock TNA dvds in the UK too.

  16. I'm looking to pick up a few t-shirts of independent wrestlers. Is it best to go through the wrestlers promotion to get them or is there a site which specialises in them??

I've spent the last hour or so looking on google, but I cant find anywhere.

    Any help will be appreciated.

The wrestler may have their own site where you can order stuff from, Iv gotten a lot of stuff from Delirious' site. Most guys nowadays sell stuff from their myspace (Ive bought from many a wrestlers myspace sites). I tend to get free junk thrown in when buying from wrestler sites/myspace, Delirious was particularly generous.

Other than that promotion web sites are your best bets, ROHwrestling.com I cannot fault, wait until they have a percentage sale which they have quite often. CHIKARA is okay but shipping can be ridiculous

I got a Necro Butcher one and a Tyler Black one off ROH's website last night. I wanted to get this one as well:

but they only have it in small and I need a medium :sneaky:

just noticed the particular shirt you are after is there but you are redirected to the ROH site, he has other ones though

  18. For those that have seen the 1st episode of WWE NXT, does it contain spoilers for the Elimination Chamber PPV and Raw? I won't get a chance to watch them until my mates are over Friday night but I'm itching to see NXT.

the stuff Ive seen on dailymotion didnt contain spoilers, but they were edited down

  19. When and what was the situation where Jonathan Coachman originally turned heel? I think it was on PPV and I remember it being a complete shock.

He turned at Summerslam 2003, during the Shane vs Bischoff match, Yeah I remember it being a shocker at the time and then went downhill fast when he took over the Raw commentary.

    from CompleteWWF.com

Out of nowhere, Jonathan Coachman hit Shane with a chair. The ref tried calling for the bell, but Bisch made the match a no DQ match and then said it was also a falls count anywhere match. Bisch shut down the RAW commentary, and Coach began calling the match from the ring. Stone Cold had enough of this and Coach got in his face. Shane had to push Coach into Austin so Austin could beat Coach up without getting into trouble with management. Shane also made Bisch slap Austin, and Austin got in a few cheap shots on Bisch. It finally got back to Shane vs. Bisch, and Shane quickly dispatched Eric.
