  1. Have ROH Dropped the Pick 6? If so thats a bit random as they made such a big deal of it last year. I only ask as mark/jay briscoe is getting a shot at the title.......yet he wasnt in the pick 6 was he?

Also if they kept this up, it would of been good for a tag team pick 6 considering the tag team division beign how it is. Also Also, WGTT in ROH? awesome! Saw they did a few shows last year, but full time-ish? cool!

I believe it has been dropped, might have been announced on their newswires plus the change of booker may have prompted it.

It seems customary to give Jay a title shot when a new champ is crowned, no doubt Cabana will get one in Chicago

  2. Just finished watching Allied Forces, definately a skippable show although worth getting if you don't own any of the Joe-Punk matches added as extras.

Andy Ridge's first trial match did nothing for me, didnt really showcase him, more Cabana's tired comedy routine. A glorified squash.

Rhett Titus is definately the most improved wrestler in 2010, after a very good bout with Jay at GBH he had a cracking little match here with Mark Briscoe. hopefully he and King can keep their momentum going into 2011 and get the Tag titles

The main was enjoyable even if the result was predictable.

Everything else is pretty much forgettable.

  3. Prazak used to be pretty decent when he was with Lenny Leonard, these days he seems uninterested.

I like Dombrowski and I think Kelly is really good, makes the iPPVs seem like a big deal and has the sound of a true wrestling commentator (if that makes sense)

  4. (Red Dwarf's been picked up properly by Dave hasnt it?)

Yeah for at least 2 series but I think when he films that he will just take time off for Corrie in fact I'm sure I read when he joined Corrie he did have it put into his contract that he would get time off if any Red Dwarf work ever came up (At the time the movie was still a possibility so he wanted to do that)

sorry to go off topic. Dave commisioned 6 episodes back in may 2009, the scripts have been written by Doug Naylor but a few months back he posted a blog saying that 'the commisioners keep moving the goalposts'. In October Doug had another meeting which he said was postive and that cast had been contacted.

Robert Llewellyn posted about the following on his blog last week:

"In early 2010 Dave announced that they had commissioned Red Dwarf for a new series of 6 episodes. Doug Naylor has been writing the new scripts, none of the cast have seen them. I am in regular contact with Craig Chalres, Danny John Jules and Chris Barrie. We talk, we ask each other 'have you heard anything?' The answer is always no."

Anyone who has followed RD since way back will know, until it is officially confirmed or even made don't get your hopes up as BBC never really backed RD but still made 8 series and the movie never materialised despite many meetings.

Ive followed RD since the beginning and Id kill for another series, even a 1 off special would do.

Also, Im not sure the Craig corrie contract thing is true because he had to beg to be able to do Back To Earth and thats why scenes were filmed on the corrie set as a comprimise and time issues.

  5. Yeah, I'd say Ashley and Molly are definitely goners plus the one Stape has already killed, so that leaves one other to get the chop. If it was Eastenders, it'd be one of the kids. As it's not, it'll probably be the tram driver or someone else nobody cares about like Dev's wife.

Tram driver is surviving, the actor was on This Morning and confirmed it. Is Charlotte going to be one of the four? as Ive read in a few places thats 'four much-loved characters will die'.

  6. Where would be the best place to get ROH dvds ebay seems very overpriced for what im willing to pay

ROHwrestling is your best bet, they will have a black friday sale tomorrow.

For OOP dvds keep checking ebay, they will turn up, I bought Final Battle 06 and Bound By Hate for

  7. a lot of my picks are 1/2 match shows

2002 - Era of Honor Begins

2003 - War of the Wire

    2004 - Generation Next

    2005 - Manhatten Mayhem

    2006 - Death Before Dishonor 4

    2007 - FYF Finale

    2008 - Final Battle

    2009 - Glory By Honor 8

2007 - RTTT Night 2 - cracking card from top to bottom

a great pick one of my faves, great tag match and awesome final.

  8. Ive skipped Slavation and Champions Challenge, are they worth getting in the sale?

I got Hate, apart from Steen v El Generico which is great, I found the show very by the numbers.

Tag Wars is okay, the tag match is fun (especially when the DCFC are gone), and I actually enjoyed Davey v Black a whole lot more than their DBD bout.

Fade to Black is only worth getting for the Best of Tyler Black bonus disc (if you dont already own the matches).

Glory By Honor 9 is my personal favourite ROH show of 2010. The surprise at the end is a great ROH moment.

  9. Having watched the first four Evolve shows Ive been really impressed with Bobby Fish, Johnny Gargano and Chuck Taylor, if Gabe continues to build the promotion around them I will remain a fan. My three favourite matches thus far have all involved Bobby Fish (vs. Hero, Claudio and Danielson).

  10.

    when will -

    As The Worm Turns

    Titannica

    DDT4

    be released on rohwrestling.com

    thanks for the help

They havent stocked any since KurtRussellMania, why not buy from prowrestlingguerrilla.com, good service and you will be giving money to the actual promotion rather than another

alternatively, highspots.com stock them, use their ebay.com site though, the postage is much much cheaper

  11. Power Slam sells because of its nae its 90's run it was something now its put this in there put that inthere, im suprised it aint goan turn into reporting on OVW or w/e WWE's trainign ground is instead of TNA.

I no longer buy magazines why? its all online anyhow search for power slam issue ** year **** pdf u will find it FREE.

    do you write for FSM?

  12. I was always under the impression the reason London didn't come back was because they weren't particularly interested in having him do his goofy spaceman gimmick. Interested to see Aries get the boot without so much as a by-your-leave. NOAH guys will give them a temporary shot in the arm

are there any decent NOAH guys who havent appeared for ROH yet? I ask as someone who doesnt watch any NOAH and I was never entertained by Go Shiozaki.

KENTA and Marafuji are always welcome but I dont see many fresh match ups for them in ROH. Daniels versus either would be good though as would Eddie Edwards

  13. from yesterdays Observer

The latest cost cutting move is to book fewer people at the shows. Austin Aries, Necro Butcher, Erick Stevens and the Dark City Fight Club were all told this past week that they were not going to be used for a while. They were given the impression they would be brought back, although the impression we have is that Aries
  14. Is that a chance of paul london heading back at any point?

im guessing he's out of ROH's price range.

I think there is so much more potential in a Hero-Claudio fued, especially without the focus being on Larry Sweeney and even better if Hero were World Champ.

I dont mean to sound negative because there is some great young talent out there, Ive heard so much about Cole, Bennett and O'Reilly that Im really looking forward to see what they bring to ROH but it all boils down to what the new booking regime brings to the table.

  15. ROH is looking increasingly like a dark place right now. After picking things up last year and this year, it's looking like it's heading for another downturn yet again. Such a shame for what was once a leading light on the indy scene

once the Steenerico fued finishes up in December its difficult to see where the next big fued is coming from so it will be a big test of Delrious' booking skills. Theres ready made fueds in Hero-Claudio and Edwards-Richards but that would mean splitting up the two top tags in wrestling.

I really hoped 2011 would have been Erick Stevens chance to shine.

Yeah, if Aries had signed with WWE he'd have gotten a huge sendoff Dragon and Joe style, but I believe he just hasnt signed a contract with ROH which means he's free to work anywhere he wants, doesnt rule out a return.

  16. By Mike Johnson on 2010-10-04 09:20:16

Ring of Honor will be making some roster changes, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

At this past weekend's ROH on HDNet tapings, a number of talents either finished up or were told that they were being given breaks from the company in order to freshen them up and give them a clean slate when they are brought back down the line.

Some names are being tossed around right now, but I haven't heard which on the list are correct.

I hope to have more on this shortly

    good idear

The rumors say the ones leaving are Aries, Necro and DCFC

"By Mike Johnson on 2010-10-04 13:26:56 In speaking to ROH owner Cary Silkin today, he said that reports any talents were released from contracts were incorrect. I was told that basically, some talents are going to be given "time out" of storylines so they can be brought back later on with new direction and storylines, but no one has been released from any existing contracts. In some cases, there is a timeline for returns. In others, there is no timeline known.

Names bandied about in the last 24 hours, none of which were confirmed by ROH sources, were The Dark City Fight Club, Necro Butcher, Austin Aries and Erick Stevens.

Silkin made it clear that "no one" had been let go by the company."

its something any wrestling company should be doing to keep things fresh, personally think Erick Stevens has a lot more to offer, Id take him over Davey Richards any day. Necro hasnt been any use since the AOTF and Ive never gotten into the DCFC. As for Austin Aries, I can never get enough of him, I believe he is broken down physically and thats why he is taking on the manager role, I cant believe ROH would ever force Aries out.
