  1. I do a bit of reporting here and there.

Pretty much everything breaks the sig rules, so I only report the ones I don't like, or that belong to posters I don't like.

Also I have two people on ignore. That did go up to three a little while back, but then I un-ignored the person because I found myself clicking on "read this post" for all their posts so it was pointless.

I'm like that too - as long as I'm not posting in that thread, I enjoy that person's contributions.

  2. Why is Generico not on TV anymore? Were those rumours about Cornette not liking his 'hokey' gimmick true, then?

I'd have Cornette on the payroll of my company, as a reverse divining rod - if he thinks it's great, it's shite. If he hates it, give it a push. He'd also get the J.R. humiliation treatment, although he'd be under a hood, for obvious reasons.

  3. I did. There's a mega-thread somewhere in which I got quite upset about the finale in the face of lots of people who loved it for whatever reason. I haven't gone back (hur hur) yet for a bunch of reasons, including how awful season six is (and because I can't face Kate-centric episodes) but if I do, I might stop at the end of season five.

I think I enjoyed the finale a lot more than most, because I was in a state of delirium at the time - except for the morning news, it was the only thing we had on telly (well, Netflix) from the first episode till the last, and we got very immersed in it. Maybe in reflection I wouldn't be as ecstatic, but for someone as pretentious as I can be, I'm a simple man with simple tastes, and the finale worked for those tastes.

  4. Can't believe there's been 3 posts about Rock of Ages and still no comparison between Stacee Jaxx's manager and Paul E Dangerously. Even better, the manager is called Paul and the monkey is called Hey Man.

Is that one of the first times there's been a real wrestling reference in a Hollywood film? Its made me want to watch it all the more!

There were references to wrestling all over The Wrestler.

  5.

I'd never heard this before today. I think it's delightful.

You poor bastard, you. You were forced to live all these years without Lieutenant Pigeon?

UNINTERESTING FACT - Lieutenant Pigeon contains the only mother-son combination to hit #1 on the hit parade.

. That's my music of choice for strutting around like I own the place.
  6. Just rewatched Hausu - it's completely incoherent, and that's how I love my horror, really. Just a bunch of inexplicable shit happening, and the complete foolishness of the effects and characters only added to this. I would love to go see it at the movies, as there are a lot of midnight shows, and I think that people's reactions will be completely freaked out.

I think that my favorite moment is

where Melody gets eaten by the piano - the look on her face when her fingers get a nibbling is very unsettling

  7. I actually liked Infinity Inc.'s take on Grundy, even thought at series had gone beyond lame at that point. The finale was pretty cool

Injustice Unlimited was a group of young villains, like Infinity Inc. was a band of young heroes - one of them hypnotized a good guy recreation of Grundy into using the "cyanide touch" of Mr. Bones to kill the Star Spangled Kid (or Skyman, which is a more sane, but less cheesily cool name). It was all surprisingly sad, for a bunch of lamers who sucked
