Tom Neenan is Not All Men - Like if Alan Partridge made a podcast about feminism and inclusivity. Includes episode titles such as "How To Be a Disabled Ally" and "How Not To Sexually Harass Someone".

Yeah that's a good one! You should check out The Beef and Dairy Network podcast too, Tom has been on that and Benjamin from Beef and Dairy was on the most recent ep of Not All Men....also listen to the Newsletter podcast I mentioned in my post. It's all  the same kind of absurd humour as Tom Neenan.

Ladies and gents of the UKFF(well, gents. We all know there are no real women on the internet!), I need some help please.

We've got the youngest daughter a Switch for Christmas, but I'm a bit stuck on what games to get her. She's only 6, and likes to play sandbox games most. We've got her a few Lego games, but apart from those, I'm not sure what else will be suitable. Any reccomendations please?

My nephews and nieces absolutely loved Rayman Origins / Rayman Legends. The graphics are cute, the music is excellent and 1-4 people can play at the same time. Simple controls (move, jump, punch/kick). I loved it as well so you'd probably enjoying playing it with her as well.

I have two comedy podcast recommendations which don't seem to be on here already (unless the search topic facility is just broken :p)

The Beef and Dairy Network Podcast - the number one podcast for those involved or just interested in the production of beef animals and dairy herds.

It's a spoof series about a range of different beef and dairy issues from buying a bull, whether there's such a thing as drinking too much milk and this episode featuring a beef and dairy radio call in quiz show - Beef Call.  There's a new episode every month and they're currently up to episode 50. I'd recommend listening from the start as there's quite a few running gags. It has an Alan Partridge / Richard Herring / Stewart Lee feel to it.

Dear Joan & Jericha - a spoof agony aunt show with two agony aunts (Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine) giving terrible advice to the letters they've received from listeners (written themselves). 8 episodes so far and they're filthy and very funny.

Both shows are also available on itunes and everywhere else.

Another funny show to add to my list is St Elwick's Neighbourhood Association Newsletter Podcast.

The premise for that is printing costs for the community's newsletter are too expensive after funding was cut so the guy decides to do a podcast version of the newsletter instead. Just give it a go, it's brilliant.

I've nearly finished Cobra Kai and it's bloody glorious but the one thing that keeps popping in to my head is that the whole show is based on Barney Stinsons take on The Karate Kid.

I thought it would be rubbish based on the trailer I watched months back but Cobra Kai is surprisingly excellent! I watched it all over two days.

Highly recommended to anyone who enjoyed the Karate Kid back in the day!

  6. Long Shot (2017) Juan Catalan was arrested for a murder he didn't commit. To save his life, all he had to do was prove he was one of 56,000 people at a Dodgers Game that night. That's where Larry David comes in....

Only 40 mins long but good stuff.

Owen Hart vs. Davey Boy in one of the best matches in Raw history?

That was in Germany though, they were both babyfaces really with more leaning towards Bulldog. Not really accurate to say it was a heel v heel match from the fans' point of view.

  8. Shane and Smackdown just came off like heels.

Babyfaces and heels just attacking everyone because they work for Raw? Why? Why would New Day or AJ Styles be cool with a random TV crew guy being beaten up? Why would Shane be happy with that? Why would Daniel Bryan?

I thought it was pretty stupid.

Side note - did anyone else think Kurt Angle was standing with weird posture at the very end? Was he selling from last night?

Yeah same have you won yet? I got 1 win in squad but finished 2ND twice in solo! Sickening! One of the times I died because of the circle was soul destroying haha

I've won 5 times in Duo but not won in squad or single player.

When it gets down to the last few people, that's when it gets really tough. I never really know what to do...build? hide out? attack?

I love everything about the game though. I'm a big fan of sneaky type games and catching people off guard. That's what I'm good at and why I'm not so good at the final section of the match.

It took me a while to get used to the guns because you can go a long time without even using them and I was never too sure of the range on them unless I was sure I could kill them....which wasn't too often. These days I'm better and got 5 kills in a match the other day which was a high for me. Whenever I'm in a building I have my shotgun equipped and if I'm out on the run I have my assault rifle ready. That has decent range on it. I read that the developers plan to add a new map eventually, that'll be cool.

Little tip for any new players, when you're hitting stuff with your pick axe, aim for the blue circle and you'll get bonus parts.

Also, when picking up loot, if you already have all the weapons you want but just want to pick up the materials and bullets, equip your pick axe and just press square (on ps4) over and over and you'll pick up everything except the weapons.

Hmm, was my sound dodgy or is the flooring on the new Elimination Chamber so soft that it doesn't make any sound on impact at all?

It's padded with extra foam it seems these days.

It's good they're trying to make it safer for the wrestlers but the lack of sound from the bumps just detracted from the moves. Ambrose doing that move on the outside to AJ early on looked good but sounded like nothing.

  11.

Why would you just get annoyed at Goldberg texting the sound guys? By your logic, all wrestlers should be shown walking out of the sound truck before they make their surprise entrance.

Because it's stupid. He's sat in his locker room watching and gets them to play his music before exiting his room?

In kayfabe logic its not hard to imagine all the guys having the sound team on a Whatsapp group should they want their music cued up ahead of time whether its to surprise a rival (like HHH to Rollins last week) or to signify to the crowd they're on their way out.

hehe fair point, just takes away from his badass aura if you imagine him doing that ;)

  12.

We don't need to see your rubbish facial expressions on a hard camera shot to know you've won!

Yes you do, this is a tv show- not a sport. Imagine Dev and Deirdre having an emotional blazing row on Corrie and all you can see is the back of their heads. Facials are every bit of the performance, the audience needs to see this.

They have cameramen they can move about though don't they? The camera guys should ensure they get the shot, not the wrestler. Just adds to the fakeness and removes drama when you know the pin will only come when they're facing the hard camera.

  14. I am!

An immediate interruption with music makes more sense though, they're right at the entrance and the guy plays the music as he sees him about to walk out.

Goldberg's was done just for the sake of "we always show him coming out from his locker room because that's what WCW did."

I'm also increasingly annoyed by the insistence that winning covers be made facing the hard camera. It looks so clumsy. Watch Nia Jaxx do it. Hits move, gets up, runs around the other side of the person and then pins her. NO! Just pin her where you are. We don't need to see your rubbish facial expressions on a hard camera shot to know you've won!

  15. Did it irritate anyone else the way Goldberg interrupted the KO and Jericho segment? Just from a logic stand point...they're in the ring....he's in his locker room....and now his music is playing?

Did he text the sound guys from his locker room to say he's on his way so start up the music?

  16. Nice! Nowhere near that, my highest might be around 60 lol I need more cards, my highest card is an 8 and mostly just 6-1. My next goal is just to find as many cards as I can so I can get a new deck. Just playing with the beginner deck at the moment.
